Exactly, it's an easy(albeit wrong) rebuttal to any men's right argument. It's just another buzzword they use to downplay facts, being able to turn it around and call it sexism or misogyny, and is usually enough for this society to agree with them.

With that logic, the whole feminist movement should be terminated because it is overtaken by women who are misandrist, or does it only work one way with them? Any organization of that type is going to attract bad apples and extremists, doesn't mean that the cause isn't valid.

There was a post on reddit about a year ago where a couple's dogs were not leashed, and the dogs attacked and killed someone due to the owners negligence. Here https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-couple-sentenced-prison-pit-pulls-killed-81-year-old-man-rcna172069 Christian Moreno was sentenced to 18 years in prison and Abilene Schnieder was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the Feb. 24, 2023, mauling near their San Antonio home. Man got a longer sentence. WHY lmfao? It's not just a simi…

Even then, this is an absolutely irrelevant point. I had some paternity leave (much less than my wife) when I had my children, and let me tell you, this shit is 100x easier than having to wake up early, do commute, go work at a job I'd rather not have to do, commute back home. Like, it was an absolute vacation. Kids in their first year of life sleep quite a lot, especially in the first few months (you know, when parental leave actually happens). When they need to drink, you can literally feed th…

As someone currently in a relationship, I absolutely love my wife, but if at any point we were to part ways, I'm pretty dead set on wanting to stay single after. I just realize that personal freedom is more important than trying to fit everything in a schedule or make most decisions based on mutual agreement. Single life is also on average way less expensive.

What reward? This man is as good as dead. If he's getting forcefully taken like this, it's because the ones before him didn't make it either.

It's not just revenge either. They legit believe that women should be compensated for having suffered in the past, or that it should be women's turn now to be in power. As if any woman in the 21st century (in western countries) have ever been oppressed any more than the average man.

Lmao similar story. In high school I was a little on the shorter side, and one girl was also quite short, so somehow people thought It'd be funny to say that I like her because of it (I never really cared or thought about her). She then came to me super offended, I guess someone told her the fake news and she believed it, started insulting me and I was just like "uh? what are you talking about??" The rest of high school, anytime she'd address me or talk about me, she'd use a derogatory word play…

I work in IT. Needless to say, women are quite rare in the industry, not because of some imaginary inequality, but just because there's not many interested in the first place. My work, however, is keen on trying to ramp up the number of women in the workplace, as if they don't understand the very low supply of them. Anyway, we got a new potential hire recently, a foreign woman, aka a DEI wet dream. The hiring process first goes through an HR interview, followed by a technical interview. She got …

Aside from rape which should be it's own separate subject, both parties made a choice to have sex and are equally responsible. It's insane to me that a woman getting pregnant during consensual sex is somehow considered the man's fault.

Sure but that would cause them to lie until past the safe abortion date. I think this idea would be fine if women are also required by law to inform the father about the pregnancy before that date.

OP you're making a thread about wanting to help men, yet 90% of your replies are sarcastic asshole and dismissive comments to men giving you their opinion. If you don't see the irony, I don't think there's much you can do.

Easy, it is basically a word used to refute any logical argument you can ever have. The word has lost its meaning completely and is used as a derogatory term to bandwagon on someone who dares to speak about any problems and injustice for men. Why even engage with any discussion when they can use the word "incel" and pretty much invalidate you in an instant. I really hope it gets to same treatment as other taboo words someday like the N word for black people, F word for gay people or R word for p…

There was a story a few months ago on reddit where a couple's pitbull killed an 80yo man. They got something like 10 years for the woman, and 13 years for the man. Like, how is that even fucking possible? Both of them owned the dog. Both of them were at the exact same place at the same time. Neither of them ordered the dog to attack that man, it was only negligence on both parts. So why'd the woman get less jail time if not for the absolutely unjust court system?

Also, a lot of women didn't vote for Harris anyway. So it isn't really a patriarchy if women alongside men determined the outcome of the election. Although their argument is going to be that men made them vote for trump out of fear.

I was going to say, this is not a Reddit thing. A lot of men dominated fields in schools and workplaces have advantages and inclusion programs for women, the same cannot be said about women dominated fields. Safe spaces for women are everywhere and male safe spaces are non existent. Reddit only reflects what is already happening in our society.

Uh, but men have the actual biggest privilege of all: the patriarchy. Not going to give an explanation though, just "the patriarchy" is all they need. /s if it wasn't obvious

International toilet day I had to look into this, didn't even know that was a thing. I also learned that toilet day is an official UN recognized day, but not international men's day. What an absolutely disrespectful shit to pull on men. Whoever made toilet day official on that specific day is a total piece of shit.

My work is exactly like that. Whenever a woman is hired, there's a 50-50 chance that this person will suck hard. On the other hand, men, and epecially white men hired are always really good. Now, I'm not saying that white men are better, it's just that if one is hired, you know they've been through multiple filters and rigorous interviews to get the best candidate, while women were hired because they checked the "woman" box in the application form. I mean my work keeps patting themselves on the …

1974 was 50 years ago. Most women that complain today were not alive 50 years ago, and those that were were mostly not old enough to have a credit card. My point is, modern women just do NOT have all the same problems that were there even just 50 years ago, and never have. Don't get me wrong, I think that all these privileges that men had back then, it was absolutely necessary to give to women, I'm all for that kind of equality. My problem is when 20-30 years old women complain that women have b…

What I hate is when they justify it with "men had their turn, so now women should have it". Ah yes, my male ancestors from several generations prior benefited from inequality versus women from generations prior that have nothing to do with you, so YOU should deserve to have your turn?? How does that make any fucking sense. They really want to make it sound like they've experienced all this inequality as if they were alive in the 18th century or something.

Because they'd be dead within a month or so. They're scared little bitches and hide behind the fact that they are the leaders so it's supposedly acceptable for them to be as far away from the battle as possible, then make statements that people who don't want to go die for their stupid war are cowards or traitors.

It doesn't, judging by the fact that the whole thread devolved into american politics debate. Is that what's considered men's rights problems now? Some random doofus throwing empty threats at people who don't vote for a political candidate?

To be fair, I'm sure these subs also ban people posting in blatantly sexist women-centrict/feminist/male hating subs right... right?
/r/MensRights03/10/24 02:21 PM

The sub banner info says something like "we support the rights for all gender" and that they allow "no misogyny or misandry" This is the most delusional description of that sub and you can see it by only reading the title of the first 2-3 posts you come across, and if you dare to go in any of the posts and reading the comments, it's crystal clear that it's complete bullshit. I bet they had to put a generic fake description like that because it used to be a default subreddit
/r/MensRights30/09/24 01:25 PM

The reality of it is that Reddit brings out the worst in people Yeah, you can easily see this with blatantly misandrist subreddits like TwoX being promoted to the top, while some people get banned from other subreddits just for posting here.

Lmao that first screenshot, the mental gymnastics that person did to conclude that it was somehow misogyny, in a situation about a woman drugging men to steal from them.

I’ve always hoped that our relationship gets better one day but I don’t think I’m going to speak to her ever again. As difficult as it sounds, I'd say this is your safest course of action. These fake allegations won't mean shit if you're not around her at all anymore. Don't give her a reason to have any power over your life.

"Of course there's always someone making it all about men in a discussion about women" is going to be their response. Well turns out that there never is a "discussion about men" so there isn't really anywhere where it can be brought to anyone's attention without someone dismissing it, this sub being a rare exception.

Well, my wife had severe pre-eclampsia which resulted in having to go through insane follow up schedules at the hospital, and also had to deliver our baby at 34 weeks because of it, yet she still loved her pregnancy and would do it all again if she had to. But sure, clarify things for me. Also, abortion not being accessible is a problem on its own and should be addressed appropriately, but doesn't disprove my point. If abortion is against your belief and you're going to complain about pregnancy,…

My wife told me that being pregnant and giving birth was one of the best experiences in her life and hates the fact that it won't happen again since we aren't planning on having more kids. Some women use the bullshit excuse that they are the ones going through pregnancy and childbirth like it's complete horror to get all the rights when it comes to decisions about children. These women are either scum trying to gain sympathy from others by lying, or just shouldn't be pregnant in the first place. …

Their argument often is "well yes men are victims, but the agressor is also usually a man, so that's on you". These people don't see unique individuals, they only see the gender of each person involved, and if you're a man well you deserve it because some men are violent, so your entire gender has to pay for that.

I work in IT in a bank. My work definitely favors minorities when hiring, as the online form to apply literally has a checkbox to ask if you are, indeed, a minority. We have about 1 woman in our department for every like 5 men. This may sound like men are a majority, but I clearly remember my computer science classes being like 1 or 2 women in a class of like 60. So where are they coming from? Now, with that said, some of these women are actually brilliant and well deserving of the job, and some…

It used to be, but default subreddits have been removed in 2017. You can see a list here:https://redditpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Default_subreddit The funny thing is that, the idea was to start people off with some hand picked subreddits, most of which were quite generic. Art, books, sports, gaming, music, movies. All stuff that could or not be interesting to the global population and I get why it was there. Some of those subreddits are generally interesting to me, and I'm still subbed to this day. …

Idk how prison works if I'm being honest, but shouldn't there be tiers/levels that determine what kind of inmates you get to be around? Like, people that steal money, while guilty, might not be the kind of people that can handle being around murderers, rapists, etc. I bet he was most likely an easy target for not being an absolute psychopatic criminal, and got completely destroyed in prison because of it...
