You need to see your child as much as you possibly can. Get an apartment or appropriate housing to accommodate. And file for temporary.

Better than a jail cell from a false accusation. And being anywhere near your toxic ex. Just get a place situated if you want a chance at custody. Best of luck 🤞

Sometimes all you can do is hold the space for them and be the example of what a healthy adult looks like.

Thanks for the recommendation, I will be looking into this one. I got a lot from “Walking on eggshells for partners” what to do when your partner has borderline or NPD traits.

I got a big message chain about the kids being thirsty when she picked them up from school at exchange. I politely told her to give them some water.

I thank my lucky stars and every day is better than the last…Even in the middle of a silver bullet divorce. Keep your chin up.

Life is beautiful my friend.

I love(d) her very being despite her flaws, saw the best in her, had 3 beautiful children. Thought we were on the path building something together. There’s also just a line that can’t be crossed. The divorce is nasty. Still trying to love myself out of the problem… and rebuild homeostasis for my kids. Yes there were red flags in the beginning but love is love. Lesson learned.

I’m going thru this, false accusations, CPS… and pretty sure whatever outcome is decided my future will still be constant litigation. Hoping she snaps out of it and starts thinking about the kids. Stay strong!

Wait for that special person. Sex is powerful. You don’t need to feel invalidated if you aren’t getting it. It’s better to dig a canyon with one person rather than dig a thousand shallow holes with a bunch of randos..

Oh I don’t know in that case…

Start recording everything. Buy a body cam or two. Accusations will come out of nowhere for leverage.

Cheers mate. Thanks for putting words to what a lot of us are feeling.

You live, you learn. It’s healthy to recognize the patterns and heal the part of you that’s contributing to it.

Cheers mate 🤟. Then at a certain point they become 100% critical of what you do. You built a treehouse, well it’s the worst treehouse ever. You moved 15 tons of soil to the backyard until 1 in the morning after a long day of work, didn’t do it good. I feel ya.

I don’t know if women consciously understand that in every man’s heart is the innate ability to create something from nothing, despite any circumstances. Keep your head up.

Record everything!!! Get a bodycam, get two. File first for 50/50.

Can’t reiterate enough… file first for 50/50. Put it on a credit card. You need a lawyer.

A little similar to my situation. Agreed to divorce October and wait until January. I left in December because it was not safe for me to be there. Start recording everything on your phone. Get an extra recorder. Buy a body cam. “Grey rock” every argument. If it follows the framework of my situation it’ll get elevated to false accusations and arrest. If you leave the house you’ll be accused of abandoning the kids. Scan and make copies of any relevant documents (hard to know what at the time…) FIL…

I used to think it was a moral virtue to be long suffering and tolerant. Now I realize the folly of my supposed virtue. If you have kids focus on them, then focus on yourself.

Good for her, hope it makes her happy and your coparenting easier. I wish the same for my ex (as long as the guy is safe or healthy with my children hopefully).

Hard to say, I deal with the same with my (ex). Whatever it is it is definitely not healthy or conducive for relationships which are two way streets… in the end we aren’t psychiatrists or psychologists.

Supposedly it’s less for first marriages (maybe 35-40%), but the higher rate for 2nd and 3rd push that statistic closer to 50%
