The change from £3k to £9k fees was a really significant one (and the fact they are being charged a commercial interest rate now). Also you can still go into the professional world, which is what most people don't get. Big professional firms take on apprentices all the time. But I think you should not consider every single person's measurement stick is their bank balance. My goals involve a process of earning up to a point and then working for more free time, rather than cash. The point is there can come a time where there are limiting factors to growth.
