I think that's fine in some contexts, and I think that a term that is specific to the masculine gender role need not be objectionable. I've seen people talk about "fragile" or "brittle" masculinity, and as an overall assessment, sometimes "hegemonic" masculinity; these terms describe the same thing as "TM" but don't get nearly the same pushback.

There are a few more manifestations of toxic femininity I can think of that aren't on this list: gatekeeping the feminine gender based on biology (a common topic when it comes to trans rights); the value placed on childbearing and -rearing, and the shaming that women who don't perform these functions are subjected to; the race- and culture-coding that often accompanies notions of what "proper" female behavior looks like. This is all fairly well-trod ground in later waves of feminist theory.

No, the principle is that police are more willing to attack black women than they are willing to attack white men (following the hierarchy I outlined above), so you put white men in front of black women to keep them from attacking at all. Is the relationship-level aspect of this really all that endemic? Most of the hetero couples I know are more or less what I would describe as healthy partnerships, no one member of the couple in a position of power over the other. Given the conversations I've had about these issues with lots of people, both those who identify as feminist and not, no, I don't think "male disposability" has much to do with the failures of the MRM to bring about the changes it ostensibly promises. Men's issues generally just aren't on most people's radar, which is an issue; the issues with the MRM specifically exacerbate the interest gap, as I discussed above.

They talk about women who define their identity by their ability to bear children, women who weaponize their sexuality to gain an advantage over other people. I guess I don't see how one person's struggles with mental illness can be fairly transferred to an entire ideological group, but I have a bigger problem with this post. Does anyone else feel like making mental illness into something only women deal with, as compared to "rational calm men," perpetuates stigmas about mental health?
