You can support Black beauty businesses instead :). Beauty Bakerie is one of them.

Before, I kept my nails at medium length and almond tipped and usually light pink (matte or shimmer), mauve pinks, or burgundy/merlot - basically, I kept classic and suitable for my skin tone. Due to school, I keep my nails short and clear or matte light pink. I find men don't mind short nails when they're done but they love medium length almond nails in classic colors (look at nails in the 40s and 50s). It makes the hands look sexy and slender! Btw, I use Revel dip powders!

You mentioned he only likes anal and when he's facing you during intercourse, it's only to "face fuck". He's gay. He's angry that he is gay and that you are not a man and he seems to be taking it out on you. I hope you find the strength to leave him very soon.

You don't date much, do you? He just wants sex. You don't want that. Leave.

Doesn't even seem like he provides for you or else you wouldn't have to work like a dog outside the home and be tired enough to not want sex.. Does he know how you feel about any of this?

...While it is sad that she let herself go during the marriage, I really hope she knows you feel this way about her and that you plan to on taking on a healthier lifestyle with her as her husband. You may feel unattracted to her but it seems worse to even say this IF you haven't even communicated to her about you feel.

Honestly, forget the group. Barely been in there a week and they clearly promote hoodrat behavior and being a 'baby momma', riding the CC, all while trying to appear feminine. They're only feminine in terms of dress and not in attitude.

I see your point. Her argument came across as one who was aimlessly wandering life and maybe bumping into a few light poles here and there before she met her husband when it's completely normal to be independent to function as an adult.

Being a black woman of West Indian descent and living in America turned me off to feminism. The new movement comes across as middle and upper class white women looking for things to be mad at, all while ignoring the very real plights of women of color in the Western world and impoverished countries.

I have the biggest crush on Alex. He's so endearing. It's a total plus that he is a former engineer and a total nerd.

If you're in a college town like the Oviedo or Gainesville area, there's plenty of venues, restaurants, and other things to do. In Miami, the opportunities are exponentially better. Do you just attend a school that isn't well known like UNF?

This is similar to my most recent relationship. He left because I was "too good for him". We both suffer from depression. I've been seeking help but he sought help after we broke up because he tells me that he needs to work on himself. The warning signs were there from the beginning. The only difference between us was that I was willing to put in the work while he wasn't. I'd say leave him and continue on working becoming more independent..

Exactly this. I'm in uni and that's the game, unfortunately. It's hard to meet men with their values aligned.

Is it bad to question if it's a matter of control if the guy asks? That would leave me on the fence. I already dress conservatively. I'd also want to make my guy happy but I'd also worry if it's a red flag... Would you have to pay attention to the approach or something?

Okay, the feminist story seems a bit...much. Did that really happen or was it hyperbole to make a point? Either way, I think another commenter pointed out that there's a difference between compliments and catcalling like "excuse ma'am, you're beautiful" and "hey, nice ass!". I wouldn't suggest using cat calling as an umbrella term in order to criticize women that actually oppose the latter although I am aware that there some rad fems that oppose the former.

This is the only time he's expressed this. On the other hand, I sort of liked that he confided in me enough to tell me this and has a desire to change the habit. Is that odd? I'm really not trying to make him feel bad about this because I'm not perfect either.

I would have to self reflect on if I'm attempting to assert dominance but I don't think I am. I'm submissive in nature but I'm also a really passionate person and enjoy learning. I definitely considering what you guys are saying about him expressing his insecurity so soon. How could I go about that without digging up negative feelings? I want to bring it up again to see if we should actually pursue a long term relationship. I know you guys are saying to refrain from discussing personal matters s…

This isn't alpha. This is manipulation and very telling. If you're confidence isn't there when you're with him, he's just going to continue to make you feel like you need validation of your own worth. Leave while you can.

THIS. I have told my guyfriends and girlfriends this exact same thing and they tell me that it's okay because it's more casual and shows that you aren't clingy and I'm being too serious lol

I've always dated older but this is the first man I'm seeing that's closer in age. He has a dominant personality but he comes across as a little insecure when he said what he said. Maybe, it's because he likes me and is worried about what I think?? I definitely don't plan on dumbing down! Should I just give up now? I'm just going to encourage him to tell me more about his own interests so we can do more things we both enjoy. Our next date will be to a hockey game so we'll see how that turns out!

I love my men to be men - rugged, brooding, with a pensive and stoic disposition. I'm black woman of Jamaican descent but race isn't a concern for me. However, I've noticed that white men give me more attention than other races and I tend to gravitate towards them. Think Simon Baker, young Alain Delon, and Sascha Radetsky. I'm also more 'alternative'. The men that catch my eye are ones with a nice build, tattoos, 5'8+, (sometimes) facial hair, lighter eyes, and longish dark or dirty blond hair. …

Oh my goodness, yes! I've always looked up to women like Audrey Hepburn and have been practicing this for years (I'm 20) but I didn't realize that it could also go along with RPW philosophy. Many men have told me that I have such a lovely voice and one even asked if I sing (which I do) haha

I was looking for exactly this! I'm new to this community but I despise the nu-wave of feminism. I'm 20 and people think it's odd that I know how to sew and knit. My roommates can't even cook. As a young black woman, I'm not concerned with the 'free the nipple' movement. I care more about getting equal pay and having proper representation. I think it's awesome that you went into engineering. Where I study, over half of the student population (more or less) is studying to become an engineer or co…

I'm sorry but it's affected* Many men desire an intelligent woman but I noticed that they feel threatened if the woman is more intelligent and successful than he is. They would rather have a woman that can hold her own and carry on a conversation but won't 'steal his shine' for the lack of better phrasing.
