Same. Instead of playing Mr. Nice Guy, I'm building power to get my needs met so I can be even more powerful and leave Earth a little better than I found it.

If you think this then you'd likely make a good parent.

This is just weird. They're all complaining about their lives together and masquerading it as their civil duty to condemn rapists, like we don't already. Even murderers and thugs fucking hate rapists.

Went to save and realized I already did. I think this post is very important.

I'm in an incredibly similar situation. Started smoking at 18 with all my closest friends. Almost 23 now and still at it. Living with the same friends and smoking about two blunts per day. Up until recently I've blamed weed for making me lazy, spaced out, and anxious. Now I know better. It's not weed that's the problem, it's my perception of weed. It's my perception in general. Check out r/leaves.

You might not only experience rejection. I obviously don't know you but it's possible you've just missed their signs. Or you need to 'work on yourself' more. I doubt you're worst case scenario.

I've read No More Mr Nice Guy, Models, and The Way of The Superior Man. All great books IMO. The only way to break out of your shell is to acknowledge your fear while choosing to look passed it. Flirting in my mind is like how we act as kids. Kids just want to have fun. Girls just want to have fun. Back in the day we weren't so bogged down by the stress of becoming independent people. We weren't so trapped in our minds. We we're free. She wants to let her guard down and forget about being a resp…

This dude taught himself in a year. If you want it enough it will happen in time. Read the description he wrote, it's inspiring.

it can be manipulative. what isn't communicated openly is "I'll buy you this, no questions asked, if you give me affection."

That's true. I'm almost 22 and wishing I started in high school. The harder it is to change, the more change there is to appreciate. It's all just words though. The fears we have will never go away, they serve us purpose. How they are used is the challenge we face. I feel lame pushing a book but fuggit. Check out Models by Mark Manson. It goes deeper than a lot of the PUA stuff I've watched/read. Seems to have killed my excuse to avoid going out by researching attraction. Book aside, I wish you …

I'm not fat, not socially awkward, dress well, am doing well in my professional life. Women are attracted to me, I recognize ioi's and I do my best to physically escalate. Sounds like your luck is treating you just fine. With women it's quality over quantity. Finding her can take decades.

I'd try getting to know a girl well enough and just tell her the truth. A prostitute seems extreme, although I've thought about it ;)

J immediately tries to buy them drinks but I pull him aside and tell him "Trust me, don't." this made me chuckle

I feel like he explains pretty well what needs to be done. He always includes the fact that you have to go out and experience the feelings this sort of thing conjures up. Otherwise it's just "mental masturbation". It cannot be understood until it's known, and it can't be known solely through logic. Go out, grab a girls hand and kiss her lips. Get slapped in the face. Do something. Failure and success are two sides of the same coin.

Stick to binary code. 1 approach, 0 be kind. None of this 1-10 stuff. When you see a 1, notice how you want to talk to her. At this point, you have two options, man up or keep walking. To eliminate mental banter, go with the rule of 5. Take a deep breath and count to 5 in your head, then approach. Just do. Analyze the situation. Focus on the positives and note the downsides. Find humor in what happened. Learn to enjoy feeling rejected, it means you're learning.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
