I made the mistake of referencing TRP on another subreddit, that shit brings out pitchforks QUICK. Granted, some of the points are valid. The core of TRP, though, at least for me, is the self improvement. Regardless of whether you're interested in utilizing the psychology that TOTALLY works, the self improvement (lifting, confidence, health, standing up for yourself) is something that should be read by everyone ever. There is literally no reason to allow yourself to wallow in beta-bullshit, when…

I didn't even note the authors name until the first example. Then had to scroll up, and realized why I wanted to punch myself squarely in the head.

Completely agree. This SR and /r/swoleacceptance are pretty much a match made in heaven. Be PUMPED you're building muscle, and swallow the red pill, and shit just starts lining the hell up. A great way to start fixing beta tendencies is to force yourself to grow into an alpha in the Iron Temple.

find a buddy/professional/adult that you know, that lifts correctly. have them go over form with you. Seriously, good form will save your entire body in the weight room. MUCH easier to correct young before the damage than at 30-40 after a decade plus of doing it wrong and having useless joints. With the knee therapy, I'd say biking since it'd take the impact of the treadmill or just running out of the equation. Definitely do core and I'd recommend moving "quickly" between your sets to keep heart…

That waking up from a nightmare analogy is on point. Great read, very accurate. I think I'm currently in that phase you reference (denial) but I'm trying to be aware of it and break through that wall like the damn Kool-Aid Man. Thanks for the insight man, its appreciated!

Sometimes it feels more like "the least responsible teenager in the house", what with all the years of built up validation. Either way though, good point.

Very well said. The entire concept of practical application is related exclusively to understanding the theory BEHIND something. Sure, knowing that a gun works is great, but if it breaks you're fucked. If you know HOW and WHY it works, though, now you have a fix. Shit, you probably wouldn't let it break in the first place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
