Women control the (hetero)sexual marketplace because their sex-drives are usually much lower than those of men. That's certainly what I was raised to believe, but I hear of so incredibly many counter-examples now (women upset with their boyfriends/husbands not wanting enough sex) that I really doubt it.

Lol. An actual gender-mirror of the article is not something I'd want to see, since it will do just what this article did, muddy shit into the waters and make it worse for everyone. If someone came up with a response article that was point-by-point sober rationality backed up by facts, addressing the fuck you MRA points, and adding the reasons people switch from feminism to MRA or anti-feminism, minus any of the "fuck you" part, I'd like to see that. Former Male Feminists maybe should become a thing. I wouldn't be surprised if most of us fit the label. There's a common entry-level argument in favor of feminism, which is that only uninformed assholes think xyz bad things about it, that it's actually all abc benevolence. It's harder to dismiss anti-feminists that way when it's known that they come from an entire lifetime of having been an informed, educated feminist until gradually having become disillusioned with it.

You started out as an MR extremist? How did you start there? Personally I started out as unquestioning feminist because that is the default mainstream media position of the last few decades. I've moved to agnostic and skeptical of both sides, but more skeptical of feminism precisely because the mainstream is less skeptical of feminism (and nearly entirely rejecting of MR stuff).

I'm having trouble seeing a consistent direction with where you're going. Had she even been a little bit older I might agree, but 11 is way too young to be held accountable for that shit when she's the one who came forward. In that case--and particularly bearing in mind that the "punishment" I'm talking about is aiding in legitimate social justice, not something punitive like imprisonment or a fine--how about holding her accountable for any portion of the last 9 years, since she waited until she was 20 before coming forward?
