hi as an afab person i’d like to politely respond to this. so women dress for themselves mainly but when being catcalled on the street it feels more like men think we are dressed for them/ think we should be dressed for them. some catcalls are along the lines of “show more skin” which is actively telling women how they should dress. the expectation of long hair is just society in general and their view of gender. when i cut my hair i had comments from stuff like “so are you transgender?” to “but…

I actually give on on you all. I’m sorry but I came here to spread awareness about something and you still managed to fight over feminism. I joined this subreddit to try to help but I’ve since found it actually really toxic. (Not toxic masculinity just toxic). And I’m sorry if I’ve only seen the bad side but that’s my experience. Go ahead and downvote this I don’t really care anymore. I just want to be equal.

Sorry, I had notifications turned of after a big post. I’ve never heard of that misandrist. And also, abortions should be legal at all stages of the pregnancy and it is the woman’s choice. I won’t have this argument under this post but I am willing to have the debate.

This is supposed to be a comedy but it makes very valid points and uses correct statistics. https://youtu.be/J7GWHgVZJQU

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you. The patriarchy does very much agree. I’m not going to say that men are privileged however in certain aspects of life men will find it easier (same the other way round). The core of feminism is wanting equality, the furthest a true feminist would go is wanting equity.

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with the statement that women get respect by default. Most women I know have spent their lives being talked down to by men, mansplained their own problems to and been called ‘sweetie’ or ‘darling’ while their equal male counterparts are addressed as ‘Dr’ or ‘Sir’

I believe these ideas are enforced that men should worry about work, and should provide money to a family, be successful come from toxic masculinity but the intention of the post is to show that these men don’t kill themselves because they are toxic. They die because of the influence and pressures of toxic masculinity. Does this answer the question?

No it’s really not, the people that call themselves feminists that are in fact misandrists. Are not feminists at all since feminism means wanting equality.

Did you know that generalising feminism is actually counterproductive? Fun fact: I, the original poster, am a feminist as well as an advocate for men’s rights

I forgot to add the last page but it said: Men and women are different, and sadly, often choose to take their own lives for different reasons too. Women are 50% more likely to commit suicide because of mental health issues, with most suicide prevention designed to target this. But men are not the same as women and have their own unique societal pressures and expectations to deal with. Men don’t kill themselves because they are ‘toxic’, but because they are simply falling between the cracks of su…

1 in 5 women (in the US it’s much worse in countless other countries) are raped

Do you know what happened once when I said Kill all men after being sexually assaulted. A man said to me ‘rape all women’. That already fucking happens

Just like eat the rich doesn’t mean we should all go on a cannibalism spree. Kill all men is a way of expressing being fed up with toxic masculinity. Any man who also says KAM (of which i know many) is not even included in the ‘men’ category

Do y’all understand what KAM actually means? (kill all men)

Just as women want men to understand our problems, we can listen to you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
