Isn't that true in both directions? I mean noone should speak for all women or all men, but speaking to you as individuals would a highly overweight woman with a lot of facial/body hair be on your "menu"?

Maybe it would be more helpful to ask this question in a female space (assuming it's open to questions) and to then post the most common answers and discuss? I wouldn't expect a space full of mostly women to have good answers to what rights men don't have. And I wouldn't expect a space full of mostly men to have good answers as to what rights women dont have. So if you really want to make a list or a comparison, getting that info from women would likely be helpful in that quest. It may also be w…

Only 10% of divorces result in alimony payments, and that's often because of a spouse putting aside their own career to take on a disproportionate amount of the child care. Both men and women are able to receive alimony, but women are more likely to be eligible because they are more likely to be stay at home parents, and also more likely to ask for the alimony in court. As more fathers become stay at home dads more men will likely be awarded alimony as well. If you do not have a relationship whe…

Dude.. you are just giving money under the table rn? That is a VERY, VERY BAD IDEA. Because they can get you in court for child support you should have been paying. So if you don't have a legal system set up, the courts can say that you still owe her money for the time that you were paying money to her because it wasn't really child support. Don't mess with that. It can happen at any point, even after the child turns 18. Imagine paying 18 years under the table just to have a court start garnishi…

No, emotional labor is just the labor that exhausts emotions. It's not gender specific. I don't even think it's situation specific. Like lifting boxes may be hard labor for one person but absolutely nothing for qnother, listening to a friend may be emotional labor for one person and totally fine for another. But it is treated as gender specific often in society.

That's what I was thinking too. Like somehow him having a hard time is going to take attention away from her hard times in some way.

Yup. There is plenty of sexual harassment happening here, but there are also instances of strait up sexual assault. The only thing I disagree with is waiting for it to keep happening. I would report asap.

Oh I guess, sometimes I forget it's 16 in most places. But still, don't people usually see adults with 16 year olds as predatory anyways? The law is 16, but there's plenty of stuff that isnt illegal but will make you a pariah. Overt Racism isn't nessisarily illegal, but you sure won't be popular. I would expect her to still be a social outcast if she was sleeping with a legal 16 year old, just not to get in legal trouble. So her being in any way surprised is shocking. But I still understand how …

I don't know, 14 is pretty young. How could she possibly think that's a full grown adult?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
