Actually, toilet seats have far less germs than just about anything in the bathroom, including the air dryers. The desk you're sitting at has hundreds of times more germs on it than the typical toilet seat does. No, the U.S. does not have paid maternity or paternity leave. There has been some action to create legislation for paid parental leave, see here. The bill HR 626 passed the House and died, and was reintroduced in 2011 as HR 616.

How come a study published in a journal that is accepted and deemed reputable by the APA is dismissed because the journal focuses on women, but the "facts" and articles that are posted from men focused websites and organizations that are not held to any particular standards by more detached groups are revered?
