there are divorce coaches, such as Emerging Victorious in Charlotte, NC, that coach their clients to goad their spouse into assaulting them so that they can win everything in divorce court.

big time. the TLDR version: i worked in a job w a clearance etc and couldn't be around anyone who used drugs. Pretty simple standard. Once we were married and the government moved us, she stopped working and began using drugs heavily while i was overseas. I noticed about 3 years in but was too busy w work to do anything. shame on me. 8 years in and it was so bad, she was embezzling from her job, my work funds, anyone she could... kicked that mess to the curb.

you're not alone. i'm a little older than you. i have the opportunity with several girls that would come over at any time but.... i have other things to do. i have a business that I run at night and on weekends. if it is going to make money, i need to use my time to support the business. if i waste my time with casual girls, i lose money.

Be very careful dating single mothers. The last women I dated seriously was a single mom. One day in my house I could tell I'd be doing most of the parenting of her seven year old son, then he'd probably stab me in my sleep. did she call her son boo-bear? sauce: boo-bear would off me for more time with his mom.

a GF did that and after 3 weeks, told me it was a joke. I was 22. It was horrible... years later, my ex wife also did that but with a twist. she recorded the conversation on her phone to capture my reaction. I was surprised but handled it normally. she planned to use the recording to show I was mean if it went south. *she left a copy of her phone backed up to our family computer and I found it after she moved out. I could do an AMA on that one.... ugh.

"married money" still frosts my cornbread. the courts and attorneys never wanted to look at her finances because "she has to prepare for her future" yes, i had a good attorney. i still don't get birthday cards, father's day cards or christmas presents from my kids because "you're the breadwinner. we don't have to do anything for you."

personal anecdote: ex wife got 'laid off' right after the wedding and 'couldn't find work' for years. I said when you work and we create a financial cushion, we can have kids. her reply? We just make the babies and live on love. i worked in the financial sector. There was no code for 'customer paid with love' delusional at best.

she was great at first, or so I thought. great w my kids, loved college football, liked bourbon, great in bed and good cook. she started seeing a therapist bc of her issues w her dad... and bc i would not buy her whatever she wanted...and that compounded complaints about me... which referred her to the divorce coach and ultimately her attorney. such a great referral cycle.

this. my ex had a divorce coach. i learned this after the fact. she stopped paying household bills and used that money for "her lifestyle"- thousands of dollars in one month for pilates.... and she took 1/2 of the money from my business account bc under this state's laws, she's entitled to "married money" even if she's not a signer on the account. so- half of my clients trust fund is gone prior to her moving out. she then sued for half of the remainder. if you're following along, that's 75% take…

it doesn't matter what she says or does- she'll get at least half. my ex began planning the divorce before we were married. she calculated my projected income based on x years of marriage, separate at 8 years and 11 months, file for divorce at 9 yrs 1 month and at 10 yrs 1 month, she'd hit the magical threshold for lifetime alimony in my state. she refused to work beyond bookkeeping for my consulting firm- embezzled from my company - which the court didn't care about- and put the money in a reti…

you're going to land when you exit the airplane unexpectedly. doesn't matter if it's an athletic career or in the commercial world. how you land is up to you and your preparation. a parachute doesn't care if you're using it because you want to exit the airplane, were told to exit the airplane or because you have to exit the airplane. what matters is you prepared beforehand- and the parachute was packed, inspected and ready to go at a moment's notice. take my upvote. there are many life lessons from BJJ/JJ/Krav/Judo etc etc that apply to life. if you're in a bad spot, identify it, plan your escape and execute it rapidly. if you're being choked, do something.
