I know that dread. Like a cloud I would drive into on my way home. Had she been a true partner, we would be sharing all forms of success. A bad marriage is energy sink and a distraction. Now I have renewed energy and passion for life, my dreams becoming attainable goals, it's a wonderful feeling. Your comment about missing a partner made me think though. The right partner would be such a force multiplier on all fronts of life. For now, I'm still to focused and guarded to give that thought energy…

Lol, I am running from this toxic energy sucking black hole as fast as I can. If you sit around dwelling how much of a victim of women you, that's surely what you will manifest in your life. I am an advocate for men. Nothing about being a positive advocate for men has ANYTHING to do with inserting myself into women's issues. I've lived a long time, know a lot of people. Know a lot of men. Single, married, divorced, gay straight whatever. Not one person I have, or ever would associate with is a v…

I just drove back from the beach. It was a fun weekend. I have a friend, she's a woman, vagina and everything. She also owns a beach house. We rented some jet skis, drove them to a mostly deserted part of the island and had a picnic consisting mainly of adult beverages, threw down a blanket and soaked up the sun. The guys who ran the jet ski business were really cool guys. The owner was telling me how he is only on the island during the summer months, then goes to Puerto Rico in the winter to hi…

You have yet to make a coherent point. Just regurgitating stuff thats been said. I think we agree circumcision if infants is bad. What else are you trying to tell me?

I read your first paragraph and stopped so I can I ask you to go back and read my comment again. Perhaps the wording is awkward. The dilution I was talking about, was diluting the issue of forced mutilation of infants. Mutilating the sex organs of infants is pretty big deal all by itself. I believe I may have been bit hasty with the OP because it is an important issue. I now accept it as a good example of double standards between men's issues and women's issues. Understanding now that said nothi…

You're right, nobody said anything about diluting women, that includes me. I said diluting the cause of ending the practice of force sexual mutilation on infants.

Also, it's pretty clear to me now you are using circumcisions as a convenience, not as a cause. I care deeply about this as my twin boys were circumcised without my knowledge or permission. I was in the delivery room when they were born. To me it's an outrage, one that needs to take seriously and used to conflate your delusional argument that goes something like: "circumcision is bad because women and abortion". The case against circumcision stands on it's own. Please dilute another convenient c…

Your right about forced forced circumcisions. It's a horrible, unfair, "choice" forced on male babies. The logical arguments for it are not valid and I believe it is harmful in many ways. And look, while your argument does highlight parallels between abortion choice and forced circumcisions, I don't believe there's value in the comparison. It seems like something to get worked up about that is not necessary and is not going aid in the resolution of either. I believe, and will advocate for, endin…

Good that you agreed. Nothing is a more soul sucking life drain than court battles. It is a valid concern though. I don't see her living that way long-term. Just document this and any thing else that comes up. I know nothing about her, she may never do anything like this but if she brought dates home to a one bedroom with my kids there, I would ask the court to intervene, supervised visitation at least.

If you are trying for full custody, or just trying to make sure she is doing her best by the children, this is definitely in your favor. You could let it go and nothing would come of it. Or, you could use this as grounds to take her back to court. Then it's up to the judge. If it were you, a man with a one bedroom and two kids......

I've been there. Exactly where you are. I can honestly say, relax! It's going to get better. Before you know it, looking for answers to those questions you're asking won't even make sense anymore. They are the wrong questions anyway. Take this time to work on yourself! Take this time to learn how to be content with yourself outside of a relationship. Improve some area of you life you that matters to you. Get healthy, read some books you always wanted to, learn a skill or develop one you already …

Appreciate the responses! I've been making progress on my budget. I realized a few mistakes I made initially that made it seem i had 2x less money. I had to estimate my new take, changes to insurance, FSA, retirement etc. (considered chopping a nice life insurance policy, but decided to keep it for the kids). I was mixing figuring my new take home and budget, basically taking child support out of take home twice. That put me in cardboard box territory. It's still a work in progress and I guess n…

Sage advice, I had really given up on looking at rentals. Now I am going to search for a short term lease until my eyes bleed. If other fathers are like me, we feel a lot of pressure to keep the standard of living as high or higher for our kids. The temptation to over spend is strong. I'm now trying to look at it as an opportunity to stay positive and expand their comfort zones (and mine). I just have to keep telling myself that until it becomes reality. That first night in a new place is going …

Thanks for the kind offer! I keep doing budgets, calculating my new take home pay based on insurance changes, FSA and retirement changes. I think I will know I am done when I get the same result twice.
