But my point is that based on all the (anecdotal) stories, posts and articles I have read, the vast majority of American women actually fears being physically abused or worse after rejecting a man's advances (not all men, of course, but they have had it happen). Whether its a rational fear or not isn't the point; they fear it. And they must have a reason for it.
