Yep. I feel like it is always the woman’s responsibility to hold a man down, to please him, to make excuses for him, etc nowadays. I’ve seen it happen with my mother and I’ve seen the kind of men it’s brought into her life. Fucking manipulative losers. And then, that mindset only makes it harder to leave when you’re being mistreated because you believe that you bear the sole responsibility of making it work. Rarely have I seen that kind of accountability and permissiveness towards one’s partner …
