Try and talk it out. She may just want to be heard (just saying since what you described is my life; now divorced).

I’m living this also. I don’t know your situation however see if it is an option to buy her out of the matrimonial home with a single lump sum payment. If kids are involved, focus on what stability looks like for you given what a disruption of not having a place to live looks like.

In Canada alimony (support) is tax deductible for the payer. Not sure if that is a factor or not. I’m in a similar situation.

It sounds like she is trying to be very thoughtful in her actions. It’s hard to hear and process (been there and done that). Work on your self and see where things go is my best advice.

I am an island, I am a rock and a rock feels no pain and island never cries…..be the best you can be. You are a rock if not for you then for your son but keep moving forward.

Set boundaries my brother. Establish your own personal limits. It will gain respect from her and will make you confident in the future when you doubt yourself.

Yup. Sounds familiar brother. Bitter women who found regret somewhere deep in their soul. Mine treats our dog better then she does me. I’m now just a funding source and weekly punching bag for all that is wrong with kids and her. You are not alone brother.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
