It would acknowledge her flirting. Nothing changes except now she knows he knows (it is no longer valid that "hints" are being missed). She would also know that if she continues, she's crossing a line that he's shown he doesn't cross.

I like your advice. I also hope he finds a way to impress on her, clearly, that he's not looking to hook up with married women, in general.

respect for what they actually are rather than gender-role fetishization I've been lurking here too for some time. Thank you for this phrase because I've been trying to succinctly explain TRP. I think this phrase is the ideal or goal of TRP - the "unplugging" from gender-role fetishization. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it often leaks over into misogyny. This is why I'm not a regular here.

That's what I mean. There was no exaggeration, or irony. It was just 'for real' - this is what the situation is.

I don't think I'd call this satire. Its accurately realistic

You're a minority in your own head. First and foremost you're johnny_deeper. Society points out minorities, then teaches us that there's a difference (and what's good or bad about it). Society is wrong most of the time when it comes to people and relationships. I like to say that I found out I was black when I came to America, as an adult ; before this, (and then now that my mentality is better) I saw myself as a citizen of the earth. We are all citizens of the earth, with full right to be here …

Do you mind elaborating on how the overall goal is not the same for both genders?

Thanks for that video. It's pretty true what he says, and it's a universal truth in everything!

Be objective. If you're going to say that, I'd rather say: listen to what they say, and compare it with what they do: the congruent things, keep. The rest, throw away

Thanks! Your post reminds me of a book I once read: His Needs, Her Needs (and I suggest that everyone in a relationship, or looking for one, read this book - even though it's primarily written for married couples). The gist is that men and women all have 10 most felt needs that we place different importance on [in general]. Men, in general, place the highest importance on the following five needs: sexual fulfillment, recreational companionship, an attractive SO, domestic support, and admiration.…

I understand what you are saying. However, as a former typical 'nice and boring' guy, that piece of advice would go in one ear and out the other. Oneitis was too strong (and what happens when the passion developed is for women?) I read this once (part of a larger email), and I think it says exactly what you mean, but differently. In a way that nice guys will understand: DON'T LIVE FOR OTHERS... You only have one life to live and if you're living for someone else, you're wasting it. [In fact, I w…

Don't compare people you meet to your ex Accept when someone does something nice for you. Receive it, even if you may feel awkward. [within reason, obviously] Your expectations: don't mirror them onto someone else Have fun Don't think too much Don't over-read into things - especially texts or words. Ask before assuming

You understood what I said pretty well (I thought my post may have seemed a little confusing). In my opinion, when I look at people in the PUA community, especially the 'more successful' PUAs, they grow from learning > 1) Techniques to display a trait to learning about > 2) Ways to develop yourself personally to gain those traits. People start out memorizing routines and gambits, looking for the fastest way to change 'the fruit' (results). Then, in time and with growth, they realize that the onl…

Thank you for all those compliments! (Let me tell you how anal I am about my grammar. See the second last paragraph? Somewhere near the end I started a sentence with ''And''. You're not supposed to start sentences with conjunctions. It pained me to leave it there, lol!) Congratulations on your new job! About getting your hopes up ... think of it like going to the gym. I recently added a lot of weight, and want to lose it. I know I can't lose it all in one month (1 month feels very long time in g…

Look. From what your saying and how you're saying it I can tell: 1. You must be a pretty nice guy. 2. You recognize and have good punctuation and grammar, so I bet you're educated (I don't necessarily think it implies you've gone to school a lot, but however it came about, you are educated) 3. You're not happy with yourself. Listen man, the friend zone is my home. Great relationships with potential to become so much more intimate and personally exciting have passed me by, and one is currently pa…

Stability. Conversation. Ambition. Drive. Women who want relationships want to see these, and probably more 'perfect husband' qualities. I'm not saying that you think about getting married, but exhibit these and you will be 'long term attractive'. I don't think it's about the actions (time to respond back, waiting to call, push-pull, etc). Playing those games (i.e, not doing what you want but doing what you think she will respond to in a certain way to) is not congruent - and we all know (or we …

You're alright. I personally don't think there's one way of doing things. (i.e., there is no "the way everyone else does "). You do what you do, where you are, with what you can. In fact, if you think of the men who are your age, not autistic, and haven't had the opportunities that you've made for yourself with girls you'll see that you're better at this 'whole thing' than a lot of other people. I don't want to sound harsh, but honestly here is what I was thinking while reading your post: "This …

I like to think and tell myself and others: "I'll probably NEVER meet this person again! if I do/say something and 'mess' up, it's fine ... we'll never see each other. At least I'll be memorable in some way. Even though I embarrass myself, I'm improving and in the chance we do meet again, she'll have the chance to talk to this newer and improved self that I will be, and she'll see the difference. Or else we'll hit it off and who knows what will happen." I also like to go through such nervous tim…
