and that exercise has benefits. Someone whose job is to sell exercise is making false claims about what is sold and the result of someone pointing out that it is a false claim is to be shrugged off. It is a false claim, I provided sources, and I find it dangerous that instead of getting actual discussion this gets downvoted and I am told to just drop it because you prefer to let the lie persist.

You are getting hyper specific here. I am not sure that is fair. /earthboundfrommars made a claim that exercise has a noticeable effect on weight loss and I provided multiple studies which show it has no noticeable effect. If I were arguing that it has a 25% effect instead of 30%, sure that would be hyper specific. However, the point I am making is that is has a negligible effect and that /earthboundfrommars is making claims which have been shown in studies to be completely false. but weight los…

What is your source for that 30% claim? Sources which suggest that adding exercise is not going to help with weight loss: http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/more-exercise-in-school-won-t-help-fat-kids-study-1.778212 (2 groups, 1 did exercise at school second did NOT and yet both groups had same amount of exercise at end of study. In other words, trying to add exercise does not result in increased total workout throughout the day as you simply move less for the 23 hours outside of the gym.) https:…

Again, having something to actively focus on such as breathing simply makes it easier. Same way that having a specific diet helps someone lose weight, but reality is simply a matter of thinking about what you eat and actively deciding to eat it. Both cases some people make progress much faster simply because they have a rule to follow and in both cases some people are just good at it naturally.

That is exactly what people tend to mean by meditation, yes. Most people need to have something they are actively doing (focusing on their breathing for example) to help with it as they have so much internal noise that they cannot just stop otherwise.

Or you can use herd mentality to your benefit. Rather than continually fighting with your internal desire to match the crowd, change the crowd you follow to better suit your desires. Example, check out subs which focus on living better financial lives (which apparently linking to gets blocked) or find people in life who do not waste money. By doing so you expand your social circle, will probably gain new knowledge and new ideas, and get positive reinforcement on the lifestyle you want since you …

That makes sense.

So do you do that with every other subreddit as well? No because most subs actually make sense. The quotes are the description copied from the sidebar of the following subs: /investing = "Discuss news items relevant to investors" /financialindependence = "This is a place for people who are or want to become Financially Independent (FI), which means not having to work for money." /news = obvious /stoicism = has a FAQ which explains it clearly /NoFap = "NoFap® is a moderated community-centered web…

I do not bother trolling, I have better uses for my time. Feel free to see that I am an active user in other subs, I was simply trying to find out if this sub would be something else for me to spend time on.

They have figured out how bad we have it, that laws are against us, that female feral nature should have never been unleashed and their response to it was to... Turn themselves into men that women want them to be. Interesting. I would have thought that since the men tend to get into better physical condition, become more assertive, and change themselves in ways specifically to get what they want it was using women's desires against women for the betterment of men. 1) Too disgusted by the current…

OP, may I ask what brought you here? I am active in /r/financialindependence and this sub along with /theredpill came up and I was curious what they are.

I am not calling you misogynists, I am not a fan of feminism, I am not baiting. I am seriously trying to understand what the purpose of this sub is since going through a week of threads has explained nothing. We come here to discuss whatever we want with like-minded men because the world is so full of feminism and female entitlement its enough to choke on the hypocrisy fumes daily. Here it doesnt exist. So the entire point of this sub is just so that you can talk about anything you want without …

I am not baiting, I am seriously unsure why this sub exists as after going through a week of threads nothing seemed to be a core theme.

There's a lot of posts in the last week about why this subreddit exists and you could look backwards for the last 2 weeks of posts for those with that title. I went through more than a week of posts and none of them dealt with why this sub exists, at least not in any way which made sense to me. I linked to those 3 threads specifically as it seemed like they might deal with why the sub exists but I ended up more confused. this is a good way to avoid being jailed for years for being too poor to pa…

If I could honestly answer it after reading through a few weeks worth of old posts in this sub (which I have done as shown by linking to posts I have read through) I would not have asked it.

Posts in this sub: "Women cost too much money!" Posts in /r/investing: "You should invest your money in low-cost index funds" The first quote in no way, shape, nor form ignores female nature (what disregard means) and the second does.

Interesting. I had not thought of it that way.

I going my own way by saving up money and growing my net value via investments so that before I turn 45 I can retire early and live my life as I want. To me this is me living my life my own way more completely than any of the threads I have seen in the sub.

Thank you for providing an actual answer instead of going on about how I am a troll. Now I actually know why this sub exists.

It was an honest question. Believe it or not, some people actually mean questions which they ask.

I never said that this sub has no purpose. I am asking what the purpose is. A sub where people talk about how to live their lives as they want to would be /stoicism or /financialindependence where people actually have discussions and ideas for how people can achieve doing what they want and not doing what they do not want. This sub lacks that so I am trying to understand what this sub is about since it is not about people trying to live lives as they want to.

I am not trolling. I am seriously trying to figure out what the purpose of this sub is. A sub which deals with men going their own way would be more akin to /r/financialindependence where people discuss how to live their lives as they see fit. I see nothing like that in this sub. So now that I have explained what I would expect "men go their own way" to mean would you care to explain what this sub is about since my personal understanding does not match what this is?

/theredpill seems much more anti-women than this sub seems so can you explain what you mean?

Considering that I still have no idea why this sub exists, would you be so kind as to explain?
/r/MGTOW04/01/16 03:56 AM

Nothing that I have seen in this sub deals with disregarding female nature. The closest to disregarding female nature I have seen has been comments about how women are manipulative which is directly dealing with female nature and not disregarding it. Disregarding female nature would be something like /r/investing where gender is a non-issue.

I am sorry that you do not appreciate being asked an honest question. Now that you have gotten your sarcasm out of your system, I still do not understand why this sub exists so would you be so kind as to explain?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
