This is a huge point. There is a difference in people that are choosing to be virgins vs those that desperately want sex but can't get it. I think many guys who have a low count but have a social life, attend good schools, respected by others, have decent family and are content are the best kind of guys.

Strangely the only people I know that settle down early are religious or had babies accidently. Not sure if that is your definition of a good woman.

I think we all have different priorities and preferences. Just because I have the money to pay for something doesn’t mean I can afford that item or that it aligns with my preferences/priorities. For example, eating 5 star dinners vs adding that money towards early retirement and eating at home. Potentially I’m more of introvert and would rather eat at home - maybe I’m not a foodie etc. I think you have to remember everyone is going to become old and comprised over time so it’s smart to prioritis…

I think that's a very subjective question. Is this guy that grew up with turmoil emotionally healthy, been to therapy and still remains capable of love, trust, support etc. If so then I guess it could potentially be attractive to some women, but I'd wager it could result in people being screwed up and toxic. Which could be attractive to some women but likely other toxic people.

I have been in a relationship with someone that struggled with ED... was very empathetic towards him and supported him getting help. I wouldn't have walked away over that issue until extensive attempts were made to resolve it. I even suggested he sleep with someone else.... so I would consider myself capable of being compassionate.

I'm a woman with a very HL and have faced the issue in relationships. I gave my partner a very decent amount of time and tried multiple things before even considering walking away.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/22 11:26 AM

I think we agree. Both parties should make strong efforts to resolve the issue and not run away at the first sign of trouble. In some instances, when this issue can't be resolved it may be necessary to walk away.

Most of these men don't want their wives to be open... many of these guys don't discuss upfront their needs upfront and end up in marriages being destroyed.

But most cheaters woman or men have friends like that... it's not this profound discovery.

It's such a vital aspect of a relationship to determine that kind of lifestyle that works for you and be firm about it. I think personality is linked to this as well. Like people that tend to love going out and partying are usually extroverted. I also think this relates to saving money vs people that enjoy extravagant lives.

I am a super HL person. My view is you won't die without sex... Yeah if your dick was chopped off which is permanent but what about ED, if you were having troubles orgasming, or depression or weight gain or stress, awful job or an illness things that are temporary in nature potentially. People throw shit away so easily in my opinion.

I agree that sexual compatibility and intimacy is important. My personal opinion is that I would want to thoroughly investigate why the person's sex drive has diminished and understand what's happening. If they refuse that and it's been year okay. But I think you can't apply a blanket rule. I see many people on here that just expect sex even if they are being shitty to their partners, but not effort into the relationship or their partners might be unwell. Many guys would be offended if you impli…

I said that I'm not a sex machine, never said that you said it. I think the part you and many men are missing is the why behind it. If someone is unwell, pregnant or just given birth or is struggling in the home or goes through an physical or mental illness (post partum depression) there needs to be recognition and understanding the why - the way people men here speak is so uncaring and devoid of compassion. Makes me want to stay away from most guys with a ten foot pole.

You do realise in many cases the reasons why people, men and women, stop having sex differs. Should you just leave your husband if he has ED? Many women after having children have many changes physically or their partners stop being romantic and helping them so they lose attraction. This sub helped me lose attraction to men and stop dating them so don't worry. :D

... you aren't saying anything I don't know but there is no point measuring which is worse it adds nothing to the conversation and makes me sympathise with men less.

All I’m saying is this idea of being virtuous = amazing partner is utter BS based on life experiences. It’s their relationship not mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 12:48 PM

I think it’s important to remind my partner that I’m not a sex machine or object here for their pleasure. If I’m tired, stressed, not being supported etc than I 100% am not feeling it especially if the guy expects me to have his kids.

My point is both genders and every once can be shallow to a degree. Look at the world we live in. Most guys aren’t looking for the fat girl with a kind heart … and that’s sadly life.

I’m not going to engage in that as their are multiple conclusions and ways to measure what is worse. I don’t think an objective answer exists.

I guess it’s a grass is greener situation. I have no issue getting men but finding someone I’m compatible with and can tolerate is hard. I also hate socialising and having to leave my house which makes pursuing careers or relationships of any kind hard not to mention adhd. I don’t know if I’ll earn $200k by your age but at least you can hopefully retire early or scale back which is my goal tbh. I know extremely extroverted people who are never alone. Also going out Friday and Sunday. Going for dates. Signing up for new hobbies like Marshall arts, tennis, yoga, art classes, wine making etc. Go to charitable events or are part of church communities.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 04:54 AM

Fair, when I say being more introverted you likely aren’t involved in tons of activities and going out so you probably meet less people that super extroverted people.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 04:51 AM

I disagree. I prefer being alone 95% of the time tbh. I don’t enjoy socialising and while I wish I did I can’t change who I am.

Yes, but also its becoming more complex to find a compatible partner as you become older, more financially secure, self aware and advance in your career. Back in the day you met someone early on and tried to build a life together now you are building it apart then trying to put people together afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 04:41 AM

I’m the same tbh. Except I’m a woman with Autism/ADHD and it’s awful.

I mean you earn a decent income but money in and of it’s self isn’t attractive unless you are splurging on nice dinners. Having those traits can help a lot in terms of getting women. I know guys like that and they got laid despite not fitting a typical box.

I don’t think you simplify what a feminist is in your comment. For me that wouldn’t be enough as I like getting paid for my labour via a contract. I also despite not liking my job worked hard getting an education, promotions and networking so I wouldn’t want to leave that behind. I also like freely spending my own money and investing it as I like rather than being dependent on someone. Being a stay at home mum is like my worst nightmare as I hate domestic work and would be bad at it.

I mean it’s reasonable but not guaranteed. I know quite overweight woman in committed relationships with guys that have 6 packs. I personally think the older you get the more people judge you overall. Slightly overweight guy with a great job, funny, charismatic, smart and socially intelligent may beat an average slimmer guy with not much going for him. Compatibility is huge though for long term relationship success in many areas.

She got the family home, a decent amount the investments and kept all her possessions. So she could always sell things but she and her kids are very used to the finer things. It’s hard to go from $2k shoes, $5k bags, nice dinners, expensive well made clothes, certain social standing, nice car $100k, etc. I think she now manages a fashion shop or is trying to start her own business. She’ll be fine but it’s hard recovering from something like this. Yes, those stories are heartbreaking and so commo…

She’s been out of work for around 25 years and she got some assets so she’s okay financially but legal fees consumed a lot and she had to figure out the finances, bills and retirement from scratch. She didn’t sign a contract which says she needs to sleep with her partner and it’s unclear why she isn’t into it - I know people can experience pain, feel unsexy and many cheaters use these kinds of excuses to justify their behaviour. All I’m saying is if sex is that huge of a priority than marriage probably isn’t the best avenue for you. It constraints your needs to one person.

Great that you have no children but the assumption is that you do - that’s what’s selfish about the statement. When I say ruin your families financial stability I mean via divorce and having to pay alimony/child support. If you don’t want children and have the means it’s totally fine. You never signed an agreement to sleep with her x amount of times. If you’d made that clear upfront and have tried extensively but otherwise your only commitment was monogamy tbh. Nope. Every woman I know who was raised by SAHM refuses to do the same. I would even look at Jordan Peterson’s daughter - who is now very career focused. I think most people like having their own money and independence. Many women I know who stay home experienced having money held over them or constantly being made to feel bad for spending or their wants or not feeling equal to their spouse.

Yep, I know a very wealthy family where the husband and wife met in finance/accounting firms. Mum was higher and more competitive but she stayed home to have kids and despite her being in an alright position it’s devastating. While the father got to the top position in a well known company and the family had a extremely privileged life - after the kids grew up the dad cheated and left with a younger woman. Despite the SAHM being smart, skinny and stunning - yet now she has to start from scratch …
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 02:07 AM

Blaming women for partners leaving and cheating in many cases is ridiculous. Of course a younger secretary with no kids, no other responsibilities and with the chance to date her boss is having more sex… that is very shallow and short term thinking. Imagine using your dick to guide decisions. If you think like this don’t get married or have kids. That’s a risk that comes with the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 02:01 AM

So sex would come before your children’s well-being, your families financial stability and your commitment to your partner. You probably shouldn’t get married or have kids because your mentality is quite selfish.

I think women do have high libido’s but are easily turned off, may marry men they aren’t attracted too and carry way more labour / physiological problems than men. I also think men seek out women with lower counts and act surprised these kinds of women are fine not having sex. I have seen sex reduces when women don’t feel valued, are resentful of their partner, don’t feel like their contributes are being seen or are unhappy. Other factors include pain, periods, or bad sex. Yep, my friends with the highest counts have committed long term bfs. Despite one being a cheater and aggressive - they all party frequently, are slim and extroverted. I love how redpill men pretend being a low n count woman or virtuous guarantees an amazing life for women. I think people should do what they want and live according to your own values not to get any specific outcome.

IQ is useful for marriage not sex in my view. If you have a high IQ and can secure a well paid career as a man it improves marriage opportunities. I don’t see how a high IQ for men would help with sex or hookups necessarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 10:40 AM

Yes, IQ in and of itself doesn’t make someone attractive. It’s combined with decent social skills, networks, access to the other gender, work ethic, attractiveness, being in shape and extroversion which would help.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 10:37 AM

Statistically that is going to be rare especially as women, even those with high IQ’s, disproportionately are in healthcare, law, finance etc. Much fewer women in maths, and STEM.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 10:35 AM

But I’m not sure IQ is wholly the casual variable as you’d have to consider introversion, male dominated field and social skills as other key points.

What I mean is the target demographic for PUA is men and for relationship experts is women typically. Rarely do women seek help to get laid or men seek help for finding a relationship. Not that all women or men ever use these services.

Yes, this is very possible. Not to mention the fields OP mentioned are extremely male dominated from college to the professional world which likely limits access to women. Men in those fields aren’t seen in the same light as banking / law / consulting / medicine as professions which are more balanced gender wise, people in those fields are likely more extroverted and there is more social status associated with them. Not to mention the opportunity cost of having children. If you’ve spent years studying and trying to establish yourself economically it might be either to late to have kids for some, others might not have had time to prioritise dating, others fear leaving their careers and the loss of time invested. I also think the more educated you are the more you only want to have kids if you can give them great lives.

Lol I’m an atheist. But my family is Christian and sex is meant to be between wife and husband only not because of contraception but because it’s an emotionally bonding experience for many people and creates stability for societies. The partners married with a wage discrepancy and they complement each other was my point. Both have jobs but given one earns more the other partners chips in more domestically and as the supportive spouse. That’s not true for most Christian denominations - Catholics have issues but most Pentecostal and baptist etc type churches don’t care. Nor do you need their permission to marry as many Christian’s I know don’t go to church as they dislike the institution. No it’s because sex outside marriage …

It’s when someone is super judgemental I don’t feel bad because you can disagree without being judgemental or a hypocrite. If you chose to act like that then expect people to lie or omit things to you.

Most men can barely handle pregnancy or periods or waxing and are not “ultra-masculine” guys that are fierce or strong. Women’s spaces are often created for woman’s safety or because they otherwise wouldn’t be represented like in sport. I think many men don’t realise how patronising society is to women. But it doesn’t negate that men have struggles which wasn’t my point.

Lol. There’s a reason PUA have remained popular with men and relationship experts popular with women. Also I’m not going to speak for every woman but I wouldn’t say there are no good men rather I’m not interested in most of the men I know. Them being “good” is subjective when the goal is compatibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 02:07 PM

Not necessarily. For example if woman has a high powered job and makes more than her partner she’d like a partner that makes dinner, manages the home/domestic labour and provides emotional support. I see this all the time as long as their partner is attractive, shares similar values and can provide for themselves lots of normal everyday women don’t care. People who are Christian are permitted to marry at any age. For many they want to have an intimate relationship and companion in the right way.…

Well evidently you and many men have the right to not find that person attractive. They still don’t owe you beauty or have to centre beauty around men. For example, Victoria Secret struggled as women became tired of seeing unachievable goals and wanted to see someone like themselves looking good. That’s why you’ve seen a string shift as brands understand what their consumer, when they are women, actually want to see/hear. A more relevant and objective observation in my view pertains to health. I…

Well you asked me do I think men have it easier in the western world, and I’m asking you for clarification for what you mean? It’s such a broad question. Like how you measure or define easier - what are the parameters? Compared to another historical period or country or to women?

I think it’s great you do it because you enjoy it! I enjoyed it as well but my priorities have shifted and as I value my time, and money more, trying to retire early and study/work full time. I’m very cognisant of the effort I exert to look “put together” but try be strategic as I don’t have a passion for makeup, and while I love fashion it’s more illustrations (sketching or looking at pieces) than actually wearing the pieces. So I only invest in the key things. That’s so interesting and I agree…

Like in the last 5-10 years and they were both in their 40s went they met and married. I think women on their 40s who have their own money aren’t looking for successful men rather guys who complement them. I think ultimately it’s about waiting to find someone you are compatible with and personally wouldn’t force it just to have someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 06:40 AM
2

I don’t think they care if you find them attractive and while they are trying to reshape beauty standards it’s because we no longer have to appeal to what only men find beautiful. Also most men can’t complain as they are also getting fatter and don’t meet the ideal!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 05:21 AM

You’d have to describe easier and men? I think you’d need to differentiate issues, topics and demographics to provide a proper answer that’s intersectional.

Sorry I forgot to add not in there lol. I don’t have figures but I’ve heard men in porn willing to do gay scenes can be paid way more and I’ve seen men as sugar babies. I’m not sure many gay men say men are picky about looks. Not sure really it’s not something I’m familiar with.

Your first two points are confusing, and not sure what you are saying. I like many other men and women vet men. I don’t date currently based on preference and that’s okay. Yes, because men are typically holding in trauma and look for others to take it out on. Also few men are truly victims of anything and many of the ones who are usually take out anger in society, gfs and children. There is a reason school shooters are only ever men and terrorists. Reddit and especially red pill misused terms constantly and straw man concepts which are complex into simplistic definitions or conclusions devoid of context. I’m not perfect either but usually in proper debates or academic environments people need to define their terms. So people understand what’s being discussed.

Fantastic example is women who have sex. Suddenly, they are dehumanised and degraded worthy of awful names. They lose all standing in society and are often denied basic rights. When men watch porn there is a level of objectification of women which can be harmful and dehumanises women as sexual objects to serve their desires no matter how rough and terrible they are. Ask the average man how he feels about marrying a sex worker and how he would treat one behind closed doors.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 03:56 PM

Sexual objectification is the act of treating a person solely as an object of sexual desire. Objectification more broadly means treating a person as a commodity or an object without regard to their personality or dignity. Objectification is most commonly examined at the level of a society, but can also refer to the behavior of individuals and is a type of dehumanization. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_objectification A thorough in-depth view of the term: https://plato.stanford.edu/entrie…

I was 18 and that’s the drinking age here. I think for some women but it depends how much you care, which I no longer do. Just showing that female beauty standards are intense and it’s now shifting to men as it’s a lucrative industry. It’ll be the norm for those that care.

Maybe like 1-2/max 3 they didn’t move in together till marriage. They are both Christian and seem really well matched. Women who’ve come out of very long term committed relationships do engage in hooking up, and others prefer it. I don’t think that generalisation is accurate. Nah I’m good. Not to mention women in menopause don’t have periods and most men are less clean than women on average. So no real utility especially if the guy is 60 will likely become a burden unless he’s really well off.

I don’t know why these men don’t move to conservative countries like many in the Middle East. Yes many misogynist, psychopaths and users. The sad truth is the redpill is used by many coaches to push these narratives to hurt, lost and unsuccessful men to mint money of this group. You basically give them a justification to hate women and stoke their resentment. It’s why they have revenge fantasies and other weird things. Literally I don’t get it! These guys are superficial in their dating preferences as they hyper-fixate on very particular kinds of women usually educated, young and very attractive. Then get annoyed that after being superficial women can also in return do the same. Not to mention as you say they literally admit women hit the wall and try act like average women deserve the bare minimum yet claim they want to be women as it’s easier. Something doesn’t add up.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 03:21 PM

Another factor she can just remain single and sleep with hot younger guys when she wants to scratch the itch. Otherwise for LTR’s she can date divorcees and others around her age. I’m not sure. Unless you are an outlier of a guy in that age group or going to a third world country as a western woman there is little incentive. My godmother married at 40 and her partner was also 40is.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 03:16 PM

Then you know some women are high maintenance regarding looks. You might have slept with more people than me tbh not hard feat. But I wouldn’t equate going on a date or sleeping with someone the same as knowing all their routines.

Yes, that’s what should happen and think it does for those with decent social circles or school or work! I do empathise for those with social or physical disabilities though. I personally really value intelligence or creativity over looks. I’ve meet super attractive guys that had rocks for brains. Looks will fade but having good conversations and interesting conversations are always possible.

Yes 1000%! Should have chosen the “better” and all the crap. I actually think many of the “good” women get played by hardcore manipulators and cheats. I’ve seen so many that were virgins and did everything right yet they had worse outcomes than other women. Your self worth and luck plays a huge role. Totally some women luck out but I’ll tell you it’s a huge gamble.

Lol I can’t tell you haven’t met many women. I know girls way hotter than me who do more stuff. Many IG models likely put this level of effort and more. I did that mostly when I used to go out heaps and wanted to look stunning. Would get free drinks, money, Uber paid for, guys gave me their credit cards, numbers / IG‘s, lots of dates, and had fun taking cute pics. Cbf now. Ultimately, I stopped but most women even models or celebrities put lots of effort into looking good and maintaining it.

Yeah, it’s because 27 and 37 have way more in-common. The differences don’t seem as huge at that age. Most women want a guy their age or a couple like 1-2 years older. That’s their preference. Older partners age and die faster which isn’t great tbh. Very sad and they might go into aged care.

Nope. The wall isn’t really an issue because the older you are for men and women the harder dating is unless you are a huge outlier. Mens advantage with dating mostly ends mid-30s and you end up becoming the one old guy in the club or having fewer people. That's a positive thought! I'm a late bloomer as well and behind in some regards there are positives to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 08:02 AM

Not everyone wants to achieve the status quo. Also very few marriages occur with larger ages gaps and most have a higher chance of failure. I was raised with so many single women as Aunts and some whom married later in life. They were spared terrible marriages, abuse, and financial ruin by not rushing into a bad marriage. Many of our parents that married are unhappy in their marriages, separated or divorced. I'm in my early twenties and laugh when I hear men saying that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 07:59 AM

I care more about my career, having my shit together and my financial stability than being beautiful. I think its overrated, as for most women as its a depreciating asset, worth investing heavily into unless rely on it for work (model, actress, sex-worker etc) or want a relationship with someone wealthy. I hated my teenage years and twenties so I am hoping my thirties will be better. Having seen people at work in their thirties as long as you are in good health and having been working towards so…

Compared to other college educated professions and vocations they are underpaid which I consider low. It's not a profession for those that prioritise money. Sadly, most musicians, actors or creatives make barely any money but the potential is extremely high but no stability.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 07:27 AM

They have a limited earning potential compared to the investment required to enter the profession. Many other low paid professions like musicians, actors, fine arts, english/literature/journalist etc end up in teaching as it has the stability.

I like FDS as it’s refreshing to be in women’s spaces, air grievances or frustrations and hear different dating perspectives. I’m not necessarily interested in dating or need help as it’s not yet a priority but it’s nice to read posts on celibacy, critiques of porn/sex positive culture, block/deleting guys and many other topics plus remind myself of the importance of boundaries and avoiding crappy relationships. Almost every perspective on history is biased and ignores / discounts things but it doesn't mean we can't use them to be more informed. It depends on the goal of the movement and given you are referring to feminism that goal of the movement and mechanisms to achieve those goals are widely debated. I think you are confusing equality with equity. Equity might mean you treat people unfairly to give them equal opportunities.

Yes, that's how patriarchies work in that they mostly benefit a few men with leadership and power (many men didn't procreate and were used in wars). While men did suffer historically they did have more benefits than women as religion and other reasons were used to denote men heads of the household, deny women access to money, education and opportunities/freedoms. Obviously that's changed in many ways and feminism has removed those limitations women had and capitalism has supported the feminist a…

You know there are numerous different types of careers. I know of a really attractive surgeon that married an elementary teacher who cooks him/the family organic meals daily, looks after the kids and has holidays off with them. Still has a secure career.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 06:04 AM

I don't think its feminists but general women. Most women are not academic feminists and philosophers so their understanding of many of these issues is very superficial. Patriarchal societies are extremely harmful to men it's just that it's men who also benefit the most. Women also play a role for sure but there is no easy fix because most men hate being weak or seen as such. Men use language and insults to police male behaviour don't be gay, your a fag, pussy, prissy/sissy, grow some balls, wea…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 05:15 AM

I think that's partly because of other sexist views and realities. In some cultures and religions women don't live alone unless married, some men like the idea their partner is at home / family oriented + probably not hooking up as much and its also a safety thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 05:14 AM
1

If I was dating it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. However, it would be my preference that they don't live at home because I do so its nicer when they have their own place or space secluded from family. I know many couples that live with parents or people that maintain relationships while living at home or do hook-ups while at home/living with others. It does make things harder and the older you are the more of an issue it is.

Made some good points. I disagree with your last point in the sense that leftist ideologies / feminisation didn't make men pay for OFs or shower women with attention as many men would buy playboy or other magazines. What's happened is women have taken control of their own sexuality, and have seen how they can maximise that for their own benefit rather than for another person. Social media has played a huge role but also women can dictate the marketplace and have more power then many thought.

I think modern men certainly appear weaker given increased rates of mental illness (depression, anxiety etc), harmful impacts of porn/OFs/gaming, obesity rates skyrocketing, and economic challenges causing men to live at home with parents longer. Men struggle to get women's attention because most women assume it's not serious, meaningful, safe or lacks compatibility and don't want to waste their time. If men want guaranteed sex and attention they can pay for that. Whereas it's much harder to pay someone to love you and put effort into a meaningful relationship which is want most average women want. Having more choices only means more energy and effort is required to vet each person not to mention for some women they struggle with the par…

I agree 100%. Not only have sex with anyone but will pay them, give them compliments, shower them with gifts and flirt. Yet, guys will come on here and complain online about women's inflated egos that they helped build. Not to mention guys that ridicule women for exercising their options knowing if they had more options they wouldn't be chaste virgins. It is hilarious honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 01:43 AM

Of course not and if they can't find one they can stay single. I would tell that to both men and women. I don't have people like that in my circle but they exist. Have whatever standards but if someone doesn't meet them than you have to either settle or remain single.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 01:36 AM

Yes, I can't date someone that isn't super direct in wanting me it's literally unattractive to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 01:26 AM

Not all. Also you have to realise most people aren't walking around being rated an objective number so it's possible some women/men think they are more attractive then they actually are whereas others are more realistic. Also everyone is always trying to secure the best partner possible and most compatible partner which means sometimes, and commonly, both genders cheat/leave a really good partner because they erroneously think they can do better. Ego is the undoing of many people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 01:18 AM
4

You do realise the problem is other men don't care about other men's problems. Men are not supportive and this is why you'll see most support women get is from other women. Look at women social dynamics, women often compliment other girls as a form of greeting or in general over every little thing. Men typically like to pick on each other.

Your anecdotal evidence doesn't negate what women are attracted to statistically on average. So the 1-5% guys that play professional sports or are celebrities and are in extremely good shape (plus not married) are not indicative of the average guy in their 30's. If you are the average guy going to clubs in your 30s is just sad tbh. From what I've seen he typically "dates" sex workers... and is their PIMP. Yep, but how they frame it is self-deprecating and very tactless. I can frame preferences with tact: - I hate tiny dicks they are so cringe. Laugh at them. :D I hate manlet midgets gross. Short man syndrome. - I prefer more well endowed men. I prefer taller guys. I dislike men and women that don't use tact its unnecessary and speaks volumes about their character. While I empathise my number 1 advice would be rehab and therapy but that's why I acknowledge being determined is important. Many addicts can't change till they want to change and can admit their is a problem. However, self-help provides generic advice and requires people to be be able to implement the advice. Many guys need therapy and to grind especially if you are an incel. That is the best way out of this if you get girls great but either way you are set.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 11:59 PM
2

I’ve seen some “incel” men who legit could pull of getting a gf and a couple of hookups if they were determined. Many are hung up as they have extremely high standards/poor mindset of autism. Others really can try their best but not outcome is guaranteed. I mean I’m not a dating guru just a random person and people should take advice from the person most like you with the outcome you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 07:58 PM

You need to be specific by struggle with women. I have friends that only date 6” but they only date guys a couple years older rarely is it men in their 30s. If these men date via seeking arrangements (which FnF do but not sure about Tate) then sure they have options. Irl data shows people rarely marry, and women are not attracted to men more than a few years older (1-3) than them from my understanding. It’s men that like young women but they are hard to date without luck and being creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 07:54 PM

Tate has more options than most men and can probably find an attractive women via money / lifestyle and nice aesthetic. But compared to legit hot guys who are young Tate would likely struggle due to age and baldness. My point is these men should have no baring on most mens life as they are worlds apart.

He can’t control whether he is judged or not that is up to other people. I don’t think he’s compatible with women with a low count necessarily because he has “changed”. /r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 03:16 AM

Yes basically. Both parties make their expectations clear and you lower divorce which incentivises more to engage. By the time someone is divorcing it’s likely both parties have resentment and are frustrated thus wanting to exert pain on others. You want to decide somethings when rational and still in love.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 03:14 AM

Correlation is not causation which is like the most basic concept. Not to mention you likely not controlling for important factors like drinking, religion, extroversion etc

Why does he deserve or get a low count partner? He can date other women like him. /r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 03:03 AM

I’ve had the same view as a virgin and now, my count isn’t even super high, but if you engage in casual sex it’s hypocritical. That is simple. I don’t like hypocrites who aren’t self aware.

I don’t care if men have that as a standard but typically it’s rooted in shaming women that enjoy sex and have had multiple partners. If a guy is a virgin cool, but men who engage in casual sex have no right to expect a partner with a low count in my view. It doesn’t make sense mathematically. Not to mention why should someone have a low count if they aren’t religious or conservative unless they want? The only woman I know with a count of zero is evidently asexual and aromantic. I think the problem starts before you are married when people enter in because it’s so vague. People rush due to religion, family, having a child and many other reasons that may not net good relationships. People should also discuss at length and be made aware of the legal impacts. At the end it’s too late.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 02:44 AM

Fresh and Fit + Tate are ugly, especially Fresh. Didn’t he get caught simping for a sugar baby who disagreed with their whole situation. Makes me think they don’t pull much and when they do it’s OF girls. How are you going to generalise women from OFs models?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 02:39 AM

Do you understand how assault works? Also he was manipulating previous gfs into webcam models, then basically trafficking them for sex and money while benefiting so he’s a PIMP. /r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 02:32 AM

Okay but why date women then if you think their behaviour is bad and incentivise it further. I don’t think men realise they strongly drive some of this “behaviour” and also men should be grateful they can have sex without any repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 02:31 AM
4

I also don’t agree with that as an outcome. It’s no an inherently good thing for couples to stay together no matter what. I think things like pre-marital counselling and making it harder to get married would be good for both parties to agree on what they want etc. But if someone wants to leave that’s their prerogative. Men (most women) would avoid most of the financial repercussions of divorce if they actually considered womens careers when marrying them.

Tate is full of He’s the kid of guy that sleeps with a machete and engages is risky behaviour so he’d likely be the one putting your life at risk. He’s literally been accused of abusing and sex trafficking women (including those he dates). I don’t think he has a modicum of respect for women. I don’t want either man tbh.

It’s a nice fantasy. It’s not common that someone has a low count and treasures sex but will have sex in 3 dates. I guess if you only date really young and naive women but still. From my experience woman that really value sex are waiting for marriage or up to several months of dating typically. They usually are religious or conservative - 3 dates would never fly.

Tate is full of shit tho 🤮🤢🤦‍♀️. His business where he gets his gfs to be webcam models is disgusting and should remind women you should be more afraid of the guy you are dating than a stranger (pretty sure they are most likely to kill or harm you!). Also if your gf was in the military or a black belt it might make sense she fight.

Yes!! This is so so true and many can’t fathom that they are the cause of their problems. Not women. There are awful people in both genders but in certain environments they are over-represented.

No, I just expect people to substantiate their statements. I personally can't find any robust or reliable research. But we can agree to disagree until proven otherwise. I'm not necessarily committed to an outcome as anecdotal evidence is all you've provided.

When I say life is complex its in the sense that people are complex and therefore you can't prescribe one thing to every person. Many men don't need "redpill" to know what is effectively common sense of go to the gym, be the best version of yourself and treat women equally. The whole don't get to attached seems like a trauma response but okay. I know men that disagree vehemently and laugh at red pill who are doing fine. Once again it's your prerogative and I don't really care what you chose to f…

Yes, the red pill and red pill coaches evidently prescribe their own "rules" to follow which can be purchased in their books and videos. All I'm saying is that in life it's not always that straightforward there are probably men that followed the "blue-pill" strategy and lived happily. Life is complex and following set rules for men and women does not always guarantee results. You have to factor individual differences and experiences. The only men I've seen strongly embrace "red pill" are super d…

See, I think we’d categorise things differently. I think looks are important but so is the whole picture given in many educated circles degrees have value and speak to your socioeconomic background (men with degrees typically have a larger pool of women). Not to mention assets and financial management. Given she’s losing weight I think they are pretty well matched and she gets hit on regularly. I do agree that for relationships it’s smarter to find your equal or above for both genders. There are…

I think it’s more how do you define a “league” like would you be basing that strictly on looks or other factors because I’m not sure I necessarily agree with your statement. I think leagues are more complex, unless we are just considering looks but even then women often wear makeup so it’s hard to say. For example, I know a couple where the gf is pretty but significantly overweight and the guy has a six pack in the military. If it’s by looks including weight she’s dating above average but consid…

Yeah exactly!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 03:17 AM

What do you define as dating above leagues? I think that’s very subjective tbh.

Yes, also tact and social norms are relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 03:08 AM

No I think more women are “child free”but there lots of men that just don’t think much about it. Dating when you are childfree is really hard for both genders given most want or are open to kids or already have kids. But I think you raise a good point it’s not just women, men are a factor and the world we live in doesn’t incentivise children.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 02:58 AM

Yes people overlook things in attractive people due to bias. Which makes sense. Great point!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 02:55 AM

Same with men who are probably even worse. I don’t understand why people assume all women are nice and sweet like they are human and have flaws, trauma, negative traits etc. People here are obsessed in a weird way with attractiveness. I don’t get the purpose of this post as everyone can be shitty.

Based on the manosphere as a “high earning” surgeon don’t you theoretically have plenty of options why do you want to do kids single especially since you work do much. I also find it interesting that you care about your partners job which is smart and goes against what so many men say.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 02:44 AM

By your logic why can’t men sleep with other men? Thus opening their options if attraction isn’t hard to change.

These men have helped me raise my standards so I don’t end up with someone like them! It’s a blessing to hear certain men try induce fear by saying women will die alone. Evidently mad that when presented with a choice women choice nothing over crap.

Same with men. Being nice isn’t a personality nor is being nice all the time attractive. I’m a people pleaser and have been working on this. But many nice guys are only nice to get sex which is gross and makes them feel fake. Others are nice but can never say no or stand up for themselves which breeds resentment. Being nice but not found attractive will limit your options. Many men here and in the red pill keep pretending that if you follow the rules of life you get certain results. This isn’t r…

Just a point, so you are fine with serial monogamy where people jump from relationship to relationship but not someone even trying casual sex ever and let’s say changing their mind. Both are in excess are red flags. Like if someone had 7 bfs or gfs and none worked out. Do you care about length of relationship etc, just interesting to observe.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 02:21 AM

I’ve been on dates with guys that say they drink socially but also drink every night. So you’ve got to watch out because many women and men have problems with alcohol and drugs but are high functioning.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 02:16 AM
1

I don’t think you can generalise but someone man or woman that’s had a lot of partners is likely more extroverted, liberal and drinks so I do thinking cheating is more likely. There is less of a respect for marriage. But I think you need to consider peoples motivations. You don’t want to marry someone that doesn’t like sex or is asexual either but it has to be a balance.

Yes, I’ve noticed both men and woman that love hooking up, partying and clubbing usually don’t make the most committed or decent long term partners. They can still be decent people as friends just not dating wise. Also people that can never be single are red flags. I prefer to evaluate peoples attitudes, beliefs and actions as context is really important and growth does happen. Context is critical. Yes and no. I’ve meet guys that have options as in tall, smart, well educated, above average down stairs, good job and attractive that get rejected. /r/PurplePillDebate15/07/22 02:55 AM

My point is that sex is rated so highly as if every time those having it meet someone there is mutual attraction/pleasure and both parties are responsible, then it can be amazing. But many instances are not like this and end horribly. I'm sure even those that "can't get" it could sleep with dirty homeless women or people that are seriously unattractive or prostitutes or other mechanisms. But sex at all costs isn't worth it.

Well it's hard to prove someone's count so that's already an issue. Not to mention following a correlation is flawed but you can do what you like. But if the factor driving people to divorce is actually partially driven by not being religious or being asexual those are factors to consider. There is no 100% guarantee with marriage. Divorce isn't automatically a failure and remaining married to an awful partner isn't a success.

I agree. I don’t think either gender should settle as it’s a horrible strategy long-term. Not being attracted to your partner or having huge incompatibilities makes things miserable. Men that aren’t happy with their partners often do the bare minimum and are easily tempted. Woman that unhappy equally look for support elsewhere or nag and often develop resentment and divorce. More people need to accept and find peace being single.

If you date a guy that values you for your prime looks, fertility and beauty you can bet he will be more likely to replace you age(also after kids as that can impact your body) once he gets an opportunity. Correlation is not causation. It's more likely that people that wait till marriage are religious, and/or traditional where divorce is not allowed except in extreme cases. You'd need to control for these factors to have a full understanding of what drives the potential association. I'm not religious so if I marry someone and the hit me once, are abusive, cheat or any of my deal breakers I'd be out the door. I have my own money and so leaving is an option.

I agree with your points for everyone! I'm slightly more flexible with jobs as I don't always think making more money is necessary if you've been able to save, invest and grind early you might not need to work that excessively in your 30s+.

I'm in my early twenties and ALL of my friends (and myself) date for guys that have their shit together. The only exception is the guy is currently studying otherwise most of my friends have their crap together. Many of us own property are educated and looking for more serious relationships.

This is cultural though. I'm an immigrant and if the person was living at home to save money or care for their family that wouldn't bother me. This is different from people that stay in their parent's house but don't work, aren't looking for jobs and don't help.

It depends on the type of partner and lifestyle you want. It's going to be subjective. My personal view for someone that has it together includes: They have a degree/trade; Stable job/career (ideally a pathway); Financially stable (emergency fund + no consumer debt); Owns their own place (apartment or house)/stable housing; Own's a car (unless in a big city); Healthy/In-shape (doesn't have to be six pack or anything); Mastery of adult responsibilities (cleaning, groceries, cooking); Has hobbies/…

No. You’ll earn extra points and it’s super nice when a guy asks/plans the date but it doesn’t correlate to the outcome. I really like grabbing dinner and talking. Nothing fancy as I value quality time, physical touch and acts of service most (alone or quiet time).

I hear you and also really enjoy parts of a relationship. Cuddles, amazing sex and emotional support. I have a really high sex drive aswell but only want to sleep with a guy that I love, so it’s hard. But I’m not sure marriage or committing to someone forever is possible. Finding someone I’m actually compatible with is really really hard. I also find relationships can be draining or distracting from find my purpose right now. Having peeked through your comments it seems like you have plenty going for yourself. Yet, sadly society will make you feel that you are incomplete if you don’t have a partner, which can cause so much unnecessary pain. Or aren’t dating casually. Date women if you prefer and try it out but also be comfortable being single as there is nothing wrong with that. Especially if you are confident about it and embrace the freedom and problems you’ll avoid. I’m from Australia and we have this show called …

I agree that in some regards it can be toxic although it’s not indicative of dating broadly and depends how invested you are. But what it helped me with is challenge the notions of dating and sexual relationships as a woman. I find learning about these subjects interesting but realised how much we learn from movies, books, tv shows, music and the media about relationships that contradicts reality. The fairytale of falling in love and living happily ever after rarely exists. Hookup culture is oft…

No. Men should no be required to “protect” woman in a paternalistic manner and we should question who the fuck war benefits. Usually military companies and arms dealers run by men. Wars are normally started by men. Men already have a disproportionate influence on laws. I’d rather die than live in a dystopian reality similar to the Handmaid’s tale. I don't want anyone to be made to fight in wars and ideally we'd prevent war at all costs (typically poor people end up going). But until we recognise…

Their content is literally about women even mgtow. They spend hours “ranting about modern women” and modern dating and woman’s standards. I get listening to the content and taking what you need but people get over invested. Most of those guys need therapy and much more than redpill.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 01:40 AM

Nah most TRP men spend hours on dating forums, listening to coaches hating on women and do date in real life. The guys I know would never need or call themselves redpill. They all laugh with me at men who are red pill and manosphere people. Most that identify with those terms are so cringe. I don’t really care if a guy prefers to be single. I think relationships require compromise and that’s not a bad thing. Not everyone is willing or able to be selfless enough for a relationship.

Those attractive men you describe do make sacrifices. Many sacrifice their safety and health dating people casually with no proper checks with no condoms. I’m certain many of these guys end up with multiple child support checks and become failures as fathers. For a healthy relationship both people have to sacrifice it can’t be one person. If only the guy is sacrificing that’s unfair and vice versa. Your vision for life seems so superficial and gross. I think you should distinguish people with su…

/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/22 03:31 AM

Yep. Men are so stupid sometimes and clearly think with their pee pee. If you date someone way younger than you their is a much higher likelihood she’s with you for money. That’s a risk you have to take if you marry with a huge age difference. Not to mention they could change their values or goals within the next 5-10years.

It’s true. My mum works so freaking hard raising kids and doing all the freaking housework my dad does not give her the gratitude or respect for her contributions to his life. It defs has put me off being a wife and mother. Rather use my nurturing skills in my job.

That’s how you know men don’t value women’s domestic labour at all, despite being more than happy to benefit from it. Many guys that complain about their divorces are unhappy that they have to financially value their parents contributions. Some men however seem to value and cherish a woman’s contributions but very few respect domestic labour.

Safe, secure and stable is way beyond resources. It’s emotionally supportive, someone that’s stable who can take care of themselves and someone who you feel safe enough to be with. I like many of my friends don’t want a guy specifically for his resources. This is so repetitive and boring. I think there is more to a person that being physically attractive like being smart, interesting, similar lifestyle, supportive of your goals, has a good character etc. Many women now date not looking for anything and just see what happens. I think combination of personality, how someone presents themselves, their character, goals and looks are all important. You can’t easily put that into any kind of app. That’s why for me I think online dating is a waste unless you want to date casually. Can you meet someone online 1000% but it’s hard to find quality and compatible people. It’s much easier through real life interactions in hobbies or activities.

I totally agree with your conclusion that both too high or low are red flags or points for concern. I value sex and intimacy so it’s important to have a fantastic sexual life with my partner. Therefore if someone is asexual and doesn’t like sex that would be a worry, if they are into purity culture as you noted that wouldn’t be work with my lack of belief and if they just don’t have options but would have slept with hundreds that’s not great. I went on a date with one guy that seemed to think it was okay to ask me on the first date and never got a second. He was good looking mind you but it felt like he wanted to determine how naive I was and see what I’d put up with. Literally made it clear to him that it’s information I’d only disclose if I know the person well and only when I’m certain that I’m going to be intimate with them. Not some stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 11:58 AM

Do you make exceptions? Like surely people change and figure out things they like, develop better boundaries and learn. Also partners can have vastly different sizes which can change things like doing anal with a micropenis vs a bigger size is completely different. Not to mention trauma. /r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 11:35 AM

This is totally correct. I’ve meet some guys (and even woman) with low counts for reasons which are unrelated to being against casual sex.

What are your thoughts if someone tried it for instance briefly and decided it wasn’t for them? Like I’d want the context and see if the person is introspective / views romance and relationships similar to me.

I’m glad you’ve found that. Sadly I can’t relate and really struggle with a reason to live for honestly. Don’t want kids, not religious, dating is draining etc. But hey that’s life. :)

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your response. It seems quite self-aware and introspective. I'm still in the process of figuring myself out and what I want but it's nice to hear from people that openly reject marriage and traditional relationships / lifestyles as I feel like it's really not for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 04:14 PM
3

Yeah definitely. Side question if you have time to answer. How did you decide marriage wasn't for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 03:35 PM
11

I don't get the last sentence. But women with low counts do care and many are religious. My friends that are religious basically would only sleep with a guy they are marrying. I agree that generally men care more than woman. But in most liberal relationships that I've seen as an early 20's woman, the girls typically have a higher count than her male partner, unless the guy is way older.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 03:34 PM
9

Same. I have had some guys try brag about huge counts which is a huge turn-off. But also I was asked once by a guy on the first date my count and he never got a second one lol. I'm more than happy to divulge my past dating but only once I'm sure that I'm getting intimate with the person and they aren't a random stranger honestly. I find it so personal. It's like asking someone on the first date how much they have in savings and investments - or private financial information.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 03:29 PM
10

Why would this matter? How would that line of questioning serve anyone? Men likely have less standards because relationships for them have less risk. Why would I base my standards on someone that has a different risk profile that's illogical?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 03:24 PM
7

Yeah if a guy is over 10-20 its a redflag. If someone was 0 or extremely low would want to know why.

This is just a circular conversation tbh. I think we can agree the father should do more than just work. But, ultimately it does come down to each couple to determine how much more he should do and what works for them. As I iterated in another comment, for me personally, I'd rather work a typical 9 - 5 office job than be a full-time stay at home parent. Bar some exceptionally intense jobs, to me parenting or caring jobs are way harder and emotionally draining. I also think this conversation is m…

Oh, if your only goal is the number of sexual partners and you don’t have any morals that’s fine. You do you but realise this is a short term strategy with risks such as stis, pregnancy, being accused of assault and long term you can develop a reputation if you aren’t perceived as trust worthy.

There are so many more interesting and worthwhile things than dating I don’t get it. You won’t die if you are single. I have brothers who vent to me about dating women and I vent about men. It’s not this intense discourse filled with such malice like online. It’s really healthy and nice having friendships with both sexes. It helps with dating and broadening your perspective.

I think men care about it more than women 100% although I’ve seen men who don’t. My issue isn’t with men who have a low count and hold themselves to a similar standard of what they expect. Rather the illogical position of men who liberally engage in casual sex but complain women have a high count or are shocked women lie. Like you are benefiting and contributing to hookup culture but then place all the shame and stigma onto women. In these cases I’ll never feel bad or empathise with the guy when…

Yeah it’s pretty bad. I’ve gained lots of weight during covid and from sedentary lifestyle between work/school/depression. A weird positive is being hit on less but I’m finally back in the gym every morning. I think online dating is like dumpster diving and while you can find some good finds, you have to go through lots of crap. It’s easier to just meet people irl while living my life. I don’t think you can generalise. I have friends who’ve never dated, other’s that have been heartbroken (some have managed to get even better bfs/husbands afterwards), others who are heart breakers, some that have been with the same person long term and even gotten married. Also I’ve met good looking guys who are lovely and been with the same gf throughout their twenties.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 07:56 PM
4

Wow, what a broad generalisation. It’s like men here project their unhappiness with dating into every post on repeat. I don’t get it don’t you have more important things in your life than girls, dating and relationships to worry about. I just live my life and never go out of my way to date as I’m introverted. But I know extroverted guys and women that love dating, going out and being their extroverted selves.

There is nothing you can throw at me as I’m pretty secure in my views on what I want from life and who I am. I’ve also spent time considering a multitude of outcomes both positive and negative. If you…

No offence given you are a random on the internet and it’s your ex I’ll take you statement which a huge grain of salt against the data and logical conclusion. Neither you or I have the full data. Are some women better off maybe but women remarry at lower rates then men post divorce from the research I’ve seen. But logically it also makes sense that divorce is a huge risk financially,

/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 07:13 PM

One minute I get used all the time and the next only an extremely small number of men are wanted by women m … ok. You are all over the place. Well all my friends and I have very different tastes and preferences in guy funnily enough. I know plenty of average and below men get married or have gfs.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 07:11 PM

I’d disagree not sure what propaganda you are referring too lol. My agency is sufficient for me and has enabled me to consider options to have children if I wanted through various means from adoption, fostering, biological (ivf/egg freezing), on my own etc I’m just not interested after looking into it. I also will never get pets as I’m scared of animals. I want to be alone… that’s the whole point. It sounds so peaceful, stress-free and quiet. I have more than enough to occupy my time don’t worry…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 07:08 PM
1

Great, glad you’ve grasped a very basic evolutionary psychology concept. Also the data on dating sites is extremely skewed compared to real life as men are like 80% of profiles and women bare more risk in dating. You’ve already contradicted your previous argument about me. :’)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 06:59 PM
1

It’s probably a biological response to ensure survival for the baby and once again great for them. Even if I’m brainwashed I’m happy with my choice and outcome. I’ve weighed both options thoroughly and can confirm this is the one area that I’m certain about to the point of getting my tubes tied.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 06:54 PM
1

Given men don’t have periods, don’t have to be pregnant for 9 months, or push a melon out their penis/privates I don’t think their understanding on the responsibility of child bearing is relevant. Also many men abandon their children and don’t pay child support. Not to mention women are the primary carers and many still have to work in this economy… so I’ll happily shirk the responsibility to have children which is not mandatory thank you. :)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 06:52 PM
1

Plenty of parents disagree vehemently and advocate that hitting children should be standard. You can make generalised statements but I personally prefer to say with parenting lots of grey area exists and it’s easy to generalise as people without kids. I’m also careful not to devalue stay at home parents contributions which is often what these conservations end up being effectively.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 06:46 PM

I watched my mum do it to provide for me and it’s really tough although I’m grateful to her. You literally parrot the same crap we’ve heard verbatim without actually thinking for yourself. I’m working to retire early from a 9-5 gig (although I work for public service lol). So I’m not career or family oriented technically. Not sure how the end of your paragraph…

I haven’t really used dating apps. I met my ex at work and he was a pretty fantastic guy in many ways. He treated me well and we ended on good terms. We weren’t compatible sadly for many reasons like kids, preferred living location, timeframe, lifestyle etc but I wish him the best. I also have brothers and a couple close guy friends that I really respect and admire. I don’t hate men, just critical of men in some aspects and want them to do better. But I’m also open to hearing critique of women a…

Well good for you. I’m the opposite and have never had an interest or desire in parenting. Babies are cute and kids can be nice but I enjoy them when I can return them and they aren’t my responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 06:20 PM

I’ve never wanted kids even at like 4/5 years old. Then as an adult I did extensive research and confirmed m it’s not for me as I’d rather focus on retiring early and engaging in volunteering or philanthropy. So many kids and families that need support. I can expend my nurturing energy at work. If I’m brainwashed so be it. :)

I’m not really fussed.

So are parenting styles. It’s why everyone should do what works for them and not make blanket statements until they reach parenting.

Lol my unhappiness won’t be resolved by having a kid(s) and being tied potentially to an awful partner for life. I don’t get the big deal about passing on your genes most of us are average or basic people who will be long forgotten by future generations. You’ve just created a new wage slave likely. Further, it’s not like making a child is a particularly huge accomplishment, especially men.

I think it’s something each couple and family should negotiate internally to determine the preferred split.

But evidently as women become more educated this is shifting and not every woman wants to take lead of the domestic / home duties. I know some of my friends have dumped guys who expect a traditional family. Overall, people just won’t be having children like myself which works best and reduces all the BS.

The research in the article below suggests that among married, heterosexual couples in the U.S., a quarter of wives, or about 15 million, are the primary breadwinners in their family. It also suggest that when the wife is the primary breadwinner, 41% of women still take a lead role in housework. Further they are report lower satisfaction than women with spouses that earn more (I would posits the extra income works as compensation for the additional work women undertake). https://ifstudies.org/bl…

Even one year olds are very receptive to their environments. I began speaking at like 10 months and my mum would read to me, take me on trips sightseeing, play games to help me with my learning, take me to play dates etc. I also went to childcare some days but even babies value stimulation. No offence not all parenting is created equal. Some parents take time also to read books extensively on parenting, literature and research schools etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:50 PM
1

But as I’ve iterated previously you don’t choose your child. You have to be prepared for anything and parents end up staying home for many different reasons which can include children with more problems like behavioural issues or disabilities etc. You can’t assume every kid is the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:47 PM

My mum worked full-time (and more) and did 95%+ domestic / child labour so evidently your comment doesn’t reflect every families reality. My dad did very little on both fronts. I think both parents working and caring for the kids works best. I would only have kids if both work and domestic was shared (not having kids though). I’m not a fan of the division of labour model personally.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:44 PM
1

Yes. You need to spend time with kids to understand, it’s no joke. I baby sat my cousins and in a couple hours they had broken my apple MacBook Air 😭, spilled toys every where, spilt food on the floor, had screamed for hours and were hitting people/being difficult. I’m sure they were acting up as parents were away and they were tired from travelling but nonetheless it was exhausting. Also typically with kids you have a bigger house and backyard. Not to mention if your child has autism, physical …

I feel awful for her and this is a story that’s so so common. Men routinely underestimate the work involved with kids and for some they are happy for their wives to basically be in charge of everything. The insane thing is women are expected to do most of the home / kid duties and work up to full time hours. My mum did both so well, but she was so exhausted and sacrificed so much. I’m not having kids. There are a plethora of reasons for my decision, but one aspect is certainly the fear of having…

This is 100% accurate. Office and desk jobs can be very deceiving in terms of intensity. I also watched a video detailing men who would lie to their “wives” about working late/hard but stay back to play video games on their laptops after work or grab drinks with work friends. Exactly both parents need to be involved in raising and caring for the kids otherwise why bother having them. Children are a 24/7 commitment they parents sign up for its part of the job.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:26 PM

But also for some women they have limited earning power after having kids and raising them. Lawyers fees defs cut into it for certain but it depends how contentious the case is.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:21 PM
2

I think the point they were making is that a job has a clear schedule but the work of parenting and keeping a house never ends. So it’s nice, as you raised, if the working parent helps put the kids to bed and can take care of some chores. But it can be negotiated obviously if you are a nurse, doctor or doing shifts maybe it’s different.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 05:20 PM

Yes and no. My point is maybe some guys won’t like it and others guys might find it refreshing that someone is being straightforward and is serious. It’s nice hearing your perspective and I’m not negating it entirely. I just empathise with women that do it having dated men and seeing the other side. Their isn’t always a nice way to bring up certain dealbreakers early on, especially if they are a stranger. I think you have to assess every situation individually because everyone has different values and experiences. For example, the type of job the working person has needs to be considered as if they enjoy it and it isn’t high stress or is flexible can be easier and provide more balance than being a parent full-time. I know lots of people that stayed home to parent precisely to homeschool their kids which is tiring. Others might have a child with special needs. Other stay at home parents are managi…

I agree 100%. It infuriates me that people down play how difficult and labour intensive being a good SAHP is. I genuinely think minus exceptionally high stress jobs a typical 9-5 office job is drastically easier than birthing, caring, raising kids and a home properly. Any caring work is exhausting emotionally, mentally and physically. As a parent you get no pay, no promotion, no holidays, undervalued and no sick leave.

This! So much goes into maintaining a home and sharing chores doesn’t just mean the standard. My mum worked full time but she mowed lawns, did the gardening and would organise fixing things. Even things like taking the bins outside. I think running a home unless you are wealthy enough to outsource labour needs to be divided fairly.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 04:21 PM

You should be taking your kid outside to learn and explore. You want to help them find what they are good at and foster curiosity as early as possible. Also let’s be honest tech is addictive for many people and can impact sleep.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 04:18 PM

I think this is why negotiation is critical as you don’t know what kind of child you’ll get. Some kids will be fine with minimal intervention and others need more care.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 04:16 PM

I think we have to distinguish between how someone feels vs what is actually happening. In some cases maybe the dates are too formal and rigid not balanced with more humane factors. But in other cases people want to have fun dating casually and these people can really waste your time as they aren’t serious. These types of guys really don’t like serious questions about life and don’t want to be held to any standard etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 02:25 PM
1

Obviously you want to balance making jokes and humour with getting the key questions out of the way. But also dating isn’t something I prioritise and I just live my life and if I meet someone organically great. But I’m super introverted and just try live a simple life.

Ours were after school and but their were trips for sport on weekends involving driving a couple hours away and staying overnight for games. Well if you’ve been around kids they get sick a lot and can be tiring so dad might need to pitch in. I very clearly stated it should be up to the couple. For some couples it might makes sense for a SAHM to only do 50% of housework.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 01:14 PM

This is a subjective topic quite frankly. Do you have one healthy child and are chill parents? Maybe mum had 4 little ones under 5 which can be exhausting especially if mum is doing the feed at night, shopping, cooking and watching the kids. Are all the kids healthy? Like I know some parents have to do extensive and regular appointments for kids. It really is something that needs to be negotiated within a couple and in some cases it makes sense that mum doesn’t get a time to switch off as she’s …

It really doesn’t. You’ll be a single mother so dating is hard and you’ll have to split assets. Divorce is not smart for women with children even at older ages unless they are with high earning and financially intelligent partners. But the couple that are good with money tend to have lower divorce rates. So I disagree with your assessment.

I think you need to factor time into the equation and the biological clock. Also those ltr’s (not sure if they are marriage) are likely to reflect people that share your values. I don’t think it’s wrong for them to date intentionally it will put off people that are incompatible. Also it depends how you meet someone, if you are already friends prior to dating vs a stranger. For a relationship yes 100%. If you see the guy at work or through friends and get to know him you find out he’s got attractive qualities for dating. But for a hookup this is less likely to work.

You are doing better than most tbh. It’s pretty important to learn the importance of money, but also note that money is just a tool, and can’t make people happy. It’s not a substitute for meaning or relationships. I’m glad to hear you are more open to philanthropy, and I’m mostly interested in giving back but their is a time and place for everything. But wish you the best with everything!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 06:10 AM

Not really. Divorce isn’t inherently a bad thing in every situation. Some people acknowledge that keeping a relationship is toxic for the kids or both parties. Maybe we should explore why men don’t go to college at similar rates but I’d argue it’s because they can find well paid trades. Women and men have freedoms, including to make choices that make them happy or even that don’t, but they don’t have to benefit society.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 06:02 AM
2

Your first paragraph 100%. An example listed on this thread which is amazing is politics. Many liberal women will never date a conservative man or someone with politics they perceive as morally wrong. Women are much firmer on this than men but even some men have this standard. Many guys completely ignore this and see no issue with their views.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:57 AM

Omg same! I’m super generous with my gfs and paying for dinner is never an issue. I can’t imagine treating the mother of my child like that, totally agreed. Even when dating guys I’m usually pretty chill about paying tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:54 AM

It’s so strange and totally think your theory applies to certain guys 1000%. Some find this illusive “virgin dream wife” and then get mad when she doesn’t like sex, expects him to get married beforehand / meet her parents or she expects a religious partner. Or I’ve seen women who are virgins get married in their early or mid twenties than cheat or leave because they’ve never experienced anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:50 AM

This omg. Men will underplay huge dealbreakers to women and most single people with morals. I will never date a conservative or religious man although I’ve met some lovely men of both persuasions.

Exactly. Subjective to the point of meaningless. Who down-voted. A term like good can encompasses so many different people that it’s hard to use without qualifying to have a productive conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:43 AM
5

Omg this especially when you earn enough money to support yourself it’s not worth it. These same guys can’t fathom why women would rather have a job than stay home. Like having your own money gives you the choice to not put up with disrespect and moving jobs is less complicated than divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:41 AM

If a woman’s standards rule out 98% that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There can be excessive things like I know some girls can reject guys for wearing the wrong colour belt or something minor. But their are many other factors women consider and they shouldn’t settle for any old guy. They want a guy that truly values them and is compatible who improves their lives. It’s that simple. That looks different for every woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:38 AM

No that’s correct. I’m trying to find one guy that I’m compatible with not just settle for any moron.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:27 AM

Yep. Most guys don’t make it past that pre-screening (95-99%) and some lie. I’ve terminated so many guys before date 1 and within 5 tops. Huge deal breakers. Some are very good at hiding things or lying or are in denial about their traits.

I think most women know it’s just they also would rather not settle so they keep their eye in the prize. Also guys that have the full package are typically mid to late twenties at least. In many demanding jobs or careers guys don’t have heaps time tbh. Especially as the newbie.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:18 AM

The difference I’d argue for women is it can be the difference between having kids or not. If you waste multiple years in your late twenties and early thirties as a woman it can change the trajectory of your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:16 AM
2

I hear you. I’ve got brothers and a few guy friends none are obsessed with dating since they all have their own personal ambitions or goals career wise. Most could have gfs or if they do it’s someone they are serious about. It’s really sad when peoples value comes from getting laid or the opposite sex. It should be a nice bonus not the main goal. I’m the same completely not interested in dating and working towards FIRE, getting healthy and other things that make me happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 05:12 AM

This is untrue for some guys. Plenty of high value guys who are religious or conservatives that want to save themselves. Maybe guys who get married or settle early might overlap with some lower self esteem but at best it’s an overlap not a certainty.

I’m not going to waste time rehashing my points I’ve answered your first para. I told the other guy I didn’t advocate for calling people this way but explained why women do. Their are better terms. It’s unfair and more attractive people get treated well or better but life is not fair. People aren’t invested in others outcomes honestly. Some generally believe their is someone out their for everyone. Ugly people do get into relationships they might just have less choices.

Yes. I find so many men arrogant and casually sexist. The few who aren’t are usually married and locked down asap.

Can men get pregnant? Are men typically smaller and weaker than their partner? It’s legit a risk or gamble with your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 04:42 AM

It’s called risk management. If a guy is normal and adds very little value why risk tying yourself to him or being played or being abused. But if a guy is higher value in ways you think are useful it might be worthwhile to take a risk. A high earning guy might be able to afford someone to clean or a guy you think is really attractive might be nice arm candy and better in bed etc. Also there is no guarantee of who good or bad guys are necessarily. Many “bad” guys know how to hide their bad traits…

It’s fine to be lazy and put zero effort (mental health, neurodivergence etc) but then those guys should expect worse results and fewer options. You’ve put in the work and it’s fair that your outcome should be different. Good luck with the dating thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 04:33 AM

You need to define good looking and perfectly eligible guys. You need to define below average women. You otherwise are making a subjective claim which we could go circles debating. Also the part you don’t acknowledge which is important is demand. If you live in a part of the country where men outnumber women maybe those women are actually higher value than you think for instance. Also class matters and background.

Once again a false equivalency. The Alt-right is an ideology beyond just saying POC commit more crimes. These groups believe in separation of races, often that black people are lesser, don’t believe in rights for LGBTQIA+ and are inherently racist. I think this line of reasoning is stupid and irrelevant as a black person myself. We are talking about dating which is a specific niche not peoples basic human rights. Instead of sticking up for men you should acknowledge that men have contributed to …

Your point holds for men and women alike. I agree most do not which is why I personally am careful and extremely picky. I’m also paranoid about sharing my things with people that hook-up and don’t get tested. But there is no excuse for these people the services are available and if someone did everything safely I’m not sure that I’d fault them. Great we agreed n count is not wrong by itself. Great and we can value different things and have our own beliefs.

You have a point about sacrifices. My friend found an amazing guy but has to continually move for his job, he has no degree (army) and he’s not super tall. You are under no obligation. But telling them or trying to save their life which is very evident in your example is not the same as telling someone they are ugly. Well religions usually say sex is scared between husband and wife. So usually religious people marry young. Conservatives value the nuclear family and so it makes sense promiscuity is wrong for them. No. Men disproportionately are represented in violent crimes from domestic violence, terrorist attacked, gang violence etc. Even if it’s a minority same with the minority of wealthy and powerful men they can assert lots of influence on society. Even if a smaller percentage of guy commit others enable this behaviour and the reality is no-one knows who the awful guys are… We are discussing dating. I don't understand that strategy. Trying to get more casual sex by shaming women who engage in casual sex is really not a winning strategy. I think you need to distinguish for hooking up and for relationships. Men have lower standards on average for hooking up and women often have really high standards for casual situation which contributes to the problems in standards. Men value beauty and youthfulness. While you can get surgery but good work like a decent boob job is like $10kUSD / $20k AUD+ with many risks, some women are infertile and some woman can't have children this can't be fixed. They do. It is a direct consequence of men's action and fact they commit violence at higher rates then women. I have experienced and heard of other women's stories. Fair. How can you control those factors 100%. You can be sexually assaulted or pressured. Some women have been ganged banged or molested. Also you might date / marry another partner and things don't work out. Might leave a cheating partner. It's not perfectly in someone's control but I see your point and you have the right to whatever standards like women have the right to whatever standards. I don't agree men value things that are purely in a woman's control or that it makes things better.

I cannot relate. Anyways do you think she'd tell your dad if she thought it was small compared to others guys. Like I'm sure if she married him she was comfortable with what he had to offer. Also she's not out here like 6.5inches is great but this one guy that was 7 inches was amazing lol. I think girls might have the most honest convos about it with their gfs if they publicly discuss it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 01:07 PM

Well if you think women are SO privileged dating men and you don't like the downsides of dating women its always an option. I just wanted to remind you that if you envy women so much and think it's great you can date men too.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 01:04 PM

I don't know how the women know exactly what size it is from grinding other than it feels good. I guess a photo makes sense but once again tinder is primarily men not women (skew is like 80 % to 20%) so it's not indicative of most women. I agree broadly with the finding. But I don't think an inch or so less OR slightly below average means men have no chance with women maybe less in casual dating. I think it becomes a deal-breaker if its micro or super small - especially if the guy can't own it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 01:01 PM

Being polite is just how social norms work. It's like when someone you don't know asks "how are you today?" They don't actually care lol. That's just how many social norms work and people will likely opt to be nice to not intentionally offend someone as their is no incentive for them to be honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 12:56 PM

Well I'd wager many guys on here are creepy or scary asf. Maybe women are just trying to be nice and also how often does this conversation come up. Do you ask you mum, sisters, aunties etc. It comes out off women when drunk or women you are hooking up with. It's not just random women in your class or personal life while sober.

Many men value how pretty a girls face is and yet bone structure is out of control. Or mental illness / disability many guys want a stable partner. Or virginity. Or women without "daddy issues". Have listed a few.

I think you are simplifying things. For instance: - When someone says they don't care about fame it could mean they want a more reserved life don't want a celebrity. - When someone says they don't care about looks it might mean they don't need a model but desire an average looking in shape guy. - When someone says they don't value money it might be that they expect their partner to have enough money to care for themselves but prefer a guy working on his purpose or mission i.e. guy earns $40k as …

This is beyond stupid. I can't :D What privileges. Being afraid of rejecting men incase they kill or rape you. Being picky as you could end up pregnant and blamed by men for being a single mother if you chose wrong. Men and women being equal relates to rights and opportunities. Men are called shitty because they disproportionately commit violence and harm which is supported by all data. But women are human not sure why they can't also be selfish, mean, cruel etc.

But for most women looking for relationships you just need to be taller with heels. You can be short / shorter and get women just be good at other things like music etc. I think many male celebrities aren't that tall: Justin Bieber is 1.75 Zayn Malik 1.75 Zac Efron 1.73 Tom Holland 1.73

I'd rather work my job than live with most men and depend on them. Also who wants their romantic partner as a boss they have to depend of for money. It kills romance when you have to ask for money for everything. You get a clear pay check for 40 hours of work and it's clear cut. Your partner will likely take your work for granted and being fired is more complex. If you have a job no-one will shame you for moving jobs or asking for more money.

The later simply wants women and men to have equal rights which is boringly conservative agenda. The liberation feminists want to address intersectional problems, reshape and advan…

/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:41 AM

It's so funny that men don't realise other men are at the top of this "society" and benefit extraordinarily from it... :D
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:39 AM

Explain further... Men and women's life is hampered by other men. I think in some instances it's worse for men such as jails but I would say women experience discrimination, shaming, sexual assault/harassment, discrimination, persistent domestic violence and objectification at higher rates than most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:37 AM
1

Well I stated clearly men as a group benefit not necessarily always as individual. Not sure if you have problems with basic comprehension. A patriarchal system doesn't have to benefit all men individually to exist, just the men at the top and men as a collective. For instance, we understand history and much of society through men's perspective as the default which benefits men - but it might not help men who are gay or those that are homeless addicts. I wouldn't characterise the split as 1% to 9…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:33 AM

My point is no-one is entitled to a date, hook-up or relationship. You have to accept being single if you can't move. Also focusing on the gym, diet or shower are really basic. What your number one priority should be is education and career-wise to advance yourself so you can build wealth. Not only does it make you attractive as a guy but it will make being single more enjoyable. While I know it's economically difficult that's going to be you best bet tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:24 AM
1

While the top men may hold the power and wealth disproportionately it does often benefit men as a group - it lends to misogyny and sexism. I think you are conflating being critical with shaming - feminist and women are critical of sexism, discrimination and violence against women which men disproportionately account for at all socioeconomic levels... I don't see what victim is being blamed by me?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:18 AM
2

Well at the top of every society men have a disproportionate amount of wealth and power which benefits men as a group but not necessarily as individuals. Society reflects men in the type of research conducted which is often based on men, how we understand history is through a male lens typically, how most careers are structured which is designed for people who don't need time out for child birth, it's still extremely uncommon for a man to take a woman's name (the alternative is common), men are …

Fair enough. I agree but was just noting it’s harder today than historically.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 07:10 AM
1

Correlation does not equal causation. In the pool of single people it usually includes people out of breakups, people with poor mental health, single mothers, people not choosing to be single etc so it could be that happier and healthier people are more likely to marry. Further, some data shows the opposite as women who are married so more domestic labour and die earlier when married. It’s not as clear cut.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 07:09 AM
1

This.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 07:04 AM
2

Extrapolate further. I have actually travelled widely and lived in Africa. Just because women have more freedoms doesn’t negate the existence of a patriarchy babe. We might disagree but at least provide an actual contention.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 07:00 AM

It’s probably easier not to bother with them… they work for some people I know of some couples that met on apps.

3

I just ignore or laugh at the sheer delusion 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:44 AM
2

It is still a patriarchy just that women have considerably more power and freedom…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:43 AM
2

The patriarchy actually does make men disposable because it operates at a group not individual level. In an actual patriarchal society men are at the top and have power but often they want access to the most wives/women which means some men get limited access to women… it’s actually quite straight forward if you look at polygamous societies.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:42 AM
1

Well if you femicide women and tell them they are less than men their whole lives naturally an imbalance in gender emerges. Women in those countries likely do domestic labour, have jobs and have to realise their own goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:35 AM
1

That’s why men that complain about this are gross. How often are you dating where complaining about paying for dinner is such a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:34 AM
1

And into societal patriarchal societies. If you look at FLDS church which practises polygamy the elder men that have power amass young wives while trying to get rid of all the young men. It shows how the patriarchy harms men while simultaneously benefiting them as a group.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:28 AM

You aren’t going to remove all woman’s freedom without a fight and even then forcing women to pair of with men they don’t like is difficult. I for one would rather die.

Most insane part is other men created tinder… which is why it appeals to the make gaze. Men are angry because they feel entitled to casual sex and women - when this doesn’t happen they never blame men but other women. Men use women as a scapegoat for their own issues with masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 06:16 AM

Stupid. This is a non-issue. Don’t pay on the first date and you’ll weed out women that aren’t into that. I don’t see those two position as irreconcilable as women can give birth and men cannot. Also men ask women out at higher rates so in that context it’s reasonable for women to confirm the guy is stable and expect the person who asks/could impregnate them to pay. People are so much nicer and certainly superficial. I think you have to experience it. But I hated it so much. As an introverted person I like being invisible and don't like having to reject people. I only want people around who actually value me rather than looking for a hook-up or leveraging off me. I also struggle to hide my body due to big boobs. I wear anything baggy I think strange.

Typically single mothers have lower IQ’s and the higher your IQ the less likely you are to have a child out of wedlock. So that skews things quite a bit. Further, IQ is related to socioeconomics status and it’s rare women from upper class families are getting pregnant before marriage and usually parents intervene in these situations to push marriage.

Well society has changed so women have a choice in how much sex they have and so expecting low n-counts today is ridiculous for those who aren't religious / conservative / unattractive / socially awkward / young etc. Not saying people with low counts don't exist or that it can't be a preference - just that it's much rarer these days as their is no incentive. Another important point. Just because they exist doesn't mean everyone can easily access them. I also have met high value men "10%"? I have…

Misogyny and sexism isn’t cured by mental health services. As you can see when women are being killed it’s difficult for people to spare empathy towards incels so they can date. Many also have issues and struggle to get help. So many addicts, people living with trauma and abuse. The world we live in is broken.

If you are introverted and not socially skilled or attractive it can be unfortunately hard. Also many people are also not mentally healthy or mature. Exactly. That’s a smart way to think you should look out for the women closet to you. I don’t have to empathise with every guy in here I barely know them but I have brother or guy friends and try be compassionate towards them. It doesn’t negate their very real threat to others. Elliot Rodgers technically killed himself so all suicides are not equal. I’m kind of confused about your comment. Men do frequently kill women it’s just rarely do they write a huge 141-page document manifesto about it and get heralded on 4chan? Also when you highlight that men frequently kill women you provide another reason why women really empathise with men. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-43892189.amp

I mean do you not have sisters or friends of the opposite sex. Like surely women don’t need to understand every single male problem to be supportive and want men to overall be healthy. Not saying it negates the need for gender/sex inclusive spaces to discuss experiences. Sadly many of these spaces become toxic if only people that have experienced trauma are in those groups or those ready to exploit those individuals. Well that’s you as an individual making a choice. Mutual empathy for men and wo…

Seems like many guys want to have their cake and eat it. I don’t have sympathy for people (men or women) who can’t engage in hookups or miss out on decent relationships due to hooking up. I think hookup culture is problematic but people that engage have to also accept the risks that come with those choices. Might end up alone, might not find many cute girls to get with, might be a bad time and you might be judged that is life.

I don’t think that’s an issue per se. I personally think many young guys that aren’t religious also wanted to have fun in their twenties and don’t want to settle. I was raised in Christian circles and those men never struggled to find wives and settle down early. Most dating issues are linked to people that aren’t very religious or don’t have any faith - also aren’t conservative. This is further entrenched by poor economic opportunities for young people whereas couples could have kids and settle…

It’s because many had very terrible players involved or ended being a breeding ground for misogyny, sexism, hate speech and violence. How does listening change material reality of dating? Like I’m happy to support or validate some things men say and others I find downright offensive. But just generally talking isn’t going to change much if their is no overarching goal. I also think there is a danger in being exposed to this side of reddit as it has exacerbated my fear of dating men.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 09:03 AM
2

I agree, I think economic, social and political instability as also exacerbated dating issues particularly in the context of the pandemic. It makes dating undesirable from so many avenues especially with wfh being more prevalent. I think pushing for economic and class reforms which help everyone are the best way to address dating. Many young people live at home and policies that target that would be most useful I think.

Why do you need women to validate these feelings? I feel like as a woman I go to a therapist, my mum, books and close friends for validation of problems dating. Then I go to all female spaces or female written books - rarely do I go to men as I don’t expect them to understand usually women issues. The only reason why it’s necessary for me to empathise wth rape, abuse etc is they are the primary demographic accused of these issues. So women are seeking to change mens behaviour. What exactly are y…

My point is both genders have struggles and it would be beneficial people provide mutual support. Your second point is more a projection or assumption. I’m not sure their are many decent alternatives and a trade-off exists. The problem is these individuals that get radicalised aren’t going to therapy and finding acceptance. They are trying to coerce women into being with them. That is why we can’t sympathise because it feels embedded in an expectation that if women empathise we will have to fix it against our own interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 07:59 AM

You are allowed to be frustrated but it doesn’t mean you are entitled to easier dating or that you can externalise blame onto all women for having standards. Many men also need to realise men and women have different dating strategies and struggles. While dating may be hard pregnancy is pretty damn hard, periods, sexual assault, physical assault etc. I think it’s also emotionally draining hearing mean complain when the reality is dating is inherently unfair and isn’t always enjoyable.

It should be hard for men to get sex you are asking a woman to risk her life, safety and getting pregnant so most are cautious. Also noting women are still shamed by men many have to vet. I’m not sure I understand your problem? Like when we want men to empathise it’s because we no longer feel safe due to legal body violating us. Whereas you seem annoyed that individual women don’t want to date men but aren’t guys the same ones that get mad if a girl is “easy”?

I’d rather just invest and work towards financial freedom. I think beauty is a depreciating investment whereas health and general self care/wellbeing is worthwhile. Most guys don’t realise most pretty girls are broke since they spend so much money on upkeep. Being pretty has huge pros but you’d never want to rely on it or define yourself around looks - they are fleeting.

I don’t see how that’s your choice or why you feel so invested in what they do or dictating to them what standards they should have. If they want a certain type of guy that’s their prerogative.

Yep this is exactly the point. He won’t say it publicly but he’s angry they dare have standards which he either can’t meet or doesn’t feel needs to be meet for women like them. That’s why I keep asking why he cares.

Such a delusional rationale. One of my friends is model level stunning. Dumps every guy and struggles to date because she has so many options but she’s also really smart and can support herself financially. She basically won’t look at a guy under 6 foot, who isn’t extremely attractive and has a good job / comes from a good family. She’s told guys before she’ll only date them if she can have an open relationship so keep dreaming 😂

I want to know why these people care what people in FDS do. I won’t post on the substance because people can have whatever standards they like. People from all backgrounds and looks have the right to standards even if they can’t find someone who meets them. Seems odd to fixate on peoples standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 09:36 AM

They aren’t going their own way so why would they. I don’t understand why you are so invested in fds it’s like they personally triggered you by having standards and you feel like it’s your right to tell them what they deserve. It’s odd.

Why does it bother you so much that people have certain standards and may never get that? It’s not out of compassion or concern, so what is it? Seems like you want to make yourself feel better or convince women to date guys they don’t want.

Low n-count if you aren’t religious is a really ridiculous expectation and likely very hard to find. Women that value low n-counts are typically religious, asexual or very conservative - mostly a minority. This equates to women’s specific standards but men are more vague. This idea men want cute or decent looking is a lie. Many men (not all) want very attractive wives who are preferably hotter than themselves. Someone they are proud to be seen with. Not naggy and easy to talk to is subjective. L…

Are you religious? If not, why does sexual past matter so much? I get if someone works in sex work or has slept with a huge number of people but why else would it matter. Certain guys obsession with it is really weird. Hopefully these guys are okay with being lied to or waiting awhile if they aren’t virgins.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 09:10 AM

But men actively contribute to this. If you have sex on the first date then get slut shamed or it wasn’t a good experience why would you do it again. Surely men like women mature overtime. Your actions at 19 or 21 don’t entirely define how you’ll act at 29 or 31. As you learn and mature your behaviour obviously change.

I don’t get this view from men who are atheists. Like apart from religion why would I as a woman be forced to wait till marriage. Someone can chose to but there is no compelling reason to and guys benefit from this so why they shame women makes no sense.

Women leave usually because they are unhappy and overworked. I’m pretty sure the demographic most likely to divorce is older women. They sacrificed to raise kids, help their husbands reach the height of his success and decide they want to finally do something for themselves. They usually don’t remarry whereas the men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 09:02 AM

Not to mention sacrifices, and valuable time. I’ve seen men waste women’s time knowing she wants kids and refusing to marry or fully commit. Really awful for them to now have to try find someone at a later point and try make kids happen.

Great post. Having met women that can be described as cat lady’s they have such peaceful lives and avoided a world of pain/drama that women in bad marriages ended up. Once I’d met a woman like that while dating a guy that annoyed me it was a no brainer to just stay single (unless an amazing guy appears then maybe I’d rethink it.)

This is a HUGE issue. I’ve seen how much work my mum did for my dad and it’s turned me off men so much. Very few feel obliged to pitch in fairly in domestic duties.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 08:49 AM

She literally asked him to cook, clean dishes and take care of her when sick. If he can’t do that he shouldn’t date any woman. Those are so simple. I can’t believe men complain women reject them but then act like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 08:46 AM

Those are really basic things and the fact that you are complaining makes me so happy your gf dumped your ass. Dishes, cooking and helping someone you claim to love when they are sick. Being a virgin isn’t a bad thing. People hooking up heaps aren’t bragging about the STDs, sexual assaults, bad encounters. Also surely women in low status or slightly higher status jobs won’t mind as long as your clean, okay on the eyes and easy to converse with / decent person?

Men as a group have basically way more advantages then women it’s not even a debate. Especially biologically. Now if we get to individual men we can find men who are less empowered.

My point was the data doesn’t indicate men are pulling their weight and ultimately women aren’t a monolith rather have varied preferences. I don’t number peoples attractiveness for the most part and disagree with your advice. It’s very difficult to be realistic or objective about yourself and others. Also your standards can be as high as you want if you are willing to stay single. I would say finding someone with mutual attraction and shared values/compatibility is important. No-one should date …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 09:50 PM
1

Well for guys seeking to compensate for lacking in those types of qualities and traits you’ll likely need to make substantially above average to compensate. It’s why you’ll meet some guys with engineering/Computer Science backgrounds that are high earners but repel women. Some compensate via earning or dating women within the field that are similar (not many). Having standards and preferences is perfectly acceptable for women and men. The bar is pretty low for men in my opinion for relationships…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 06:13 PM
1

No, to clarify they want partners doing their fair share of domestic work and emotional labour which the data shows men are not doing. For women that earn enough to support themselves they aren’t dating for a paycheck and will be looking at the whole package. Shared values and mutually beneficial. It’s better to stay single than be unfulfilled for both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 03:36 PM
1

I think it really depends on the woman and her partner. The reason why having it all is hard for women is they are more involved due to birthing and expectations are higher on them. It’s challenging when they don’t have an equally supportive partner. Many men who provide are happy to come and and leave domestic arrangements to their wife. It’s much more complex. Women are increasingly breadwinners and having to balance both due to economic considerations.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 09:12 AM
1

Yep. These kind of conflicts are so common and it’s ridiculous. Like they want to benefits of having a stay at home wife but none of the risks. Same with men marrying women that work full-time but then get annoyed that she expects equal responsibility for domestic and child labour. Or they get angry when their wife is more successful or ambitious.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 09:04 AM
1

I don’t know many single men with their lives remotely in order tbh unless they are choosing to be single. Most guys I know who are single have different priorities. If you have your crap together as a man women will be rushing to lock you down. Where some men struggle is if they have specific double standards I.e. low n count/virgin, stunningly attractive women, certain careers etc not saying those standards are wrong but you need to be prepared to wait forever.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:24 AM
1

I think this is increasingly common among men and women sadly. I respect peoples right to enjoy being wild and hooking up but won’t be taking anyone back after they’ve hooked up with someone else. Also I take commitment seriously and give my all in relationship so if we breakup I’m done. Usually things are irreconcilable romantically. think every woman or man has this right to reject partner or people like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:13 AM
1

All the above.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:09 AM
1

I mean you have the right to feel that way but there are plenty of successful men who have no issue dating after building wealth. It’s a personal preference thing. Also you might find someone with a similar success story. I would feel the same as you as a woman but everyone is different.Good luck
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:04 AM
1

You make me happy to be single, young and positive despite being critical of men after several horrendous experiences. What are you bitter about? Like there are worse things in the world than getting to have casual sex with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:02 AM
2

Men are so delusional and misguided about how women think. It’s pretty simple. Women looking for a serious life partner want to know if that person will stand by them when they have kids which can cause negative impacts on a woman’s body (hair loss, saggy boobs, weight gain, teeth fall out, post partum depression etc). Further, you want to know through health and sickness this person will be there otherwise why make sacrifices like childbirth for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:01 AM
2

What in particular makes you feel this way post-30s? You’d think men would be happy to have access to casual sex, yet most guys who get it remain unhappy. Also I find it interesting it took till your 30’s, I’ve had a negative view of men since I was little. Of them being dangerous, violent, selfish, entitled, cheats and abusive. Many women are raised being weary of men so I find your perspective interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:55 AM

Men are too. But that’s life.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:46 AM

Low key wouldn’t be that concerned as I’m not looking to settle down but would be a red flag for long term and would keep watching for other issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:45 AM
1

But does it last. Evidently the data shows the bigger the age gap the less likely it is to work long-term. But for short-term dating, casual relationships and hookups it’s probably fair game. I still don’t know many 20 year old girls are dating guys with an over 10 year age gap. I think mid-twenties 23/24+ could be more common.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:42 AM
2

Who cares if this is or isn’t true. Dating is not meant to be fair given it’s an inherently discriminatory activity with the goal of procuring the best outcome for offspring. Some areas of life should be made fairer and more equitable but for dating it makes no sense. It’s pretty hard to change who someone finds attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:37 AM
4

Many men say that until it’s time to foot the bill. Also many guys who provide feel entitled like paid for dinner now you owe me sex or control partners by not giving the access to money to leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:32 AM
4

People do have it all. Great career, kids and loving partner. It is possible but it’s hard and requires more sacrifice from both parties. Raising children and staying home is a thankless job under a capitalist system.

I don’t understand people that think a relationship is always an automatic solution for unhappiness. Some people, especially men, seem to enjoy relationships more for the benefits like domestic and emotional labour provided by women. Others just need someone to blame externally for their problems tbh. The reality is modern dating as a product of capitalism, urbanisation and hyper-individualism is fucked. But their have always been issues in society and suffering.

Well they overlap. So if you screen for people with really low counts you are more likely to find those that actively aren’t interested in sex or have a low drive, date/marry out of duty/religion/culture not attraction, date for kids, and date/marry for stability. If you find a gorgeous woman that’s single and has a really low count but isn’t religious to some men that’s a great sign of gf material until they get married and rarely get any action. lol given those things are subjective and impacted by other factors they may seem simple but in reality they are are more complex. I don’t entirely agree with this. I’ve met hot woman that have been cheated on, abused, been disrespected career wise as people don’t take them seriously, struggled financially, constant sexualised etc. I also think being hot and focusing on beauty has downsides in that it’s a depreciating asset for most people over time - while the halo effect exists it can actually present harm if you don’t develop talents outside beauty and you may also be less likely to invest / be financially independent. Such a skewed metric and its constantly cited by men. Most women don't use online dating so you are dealing with a huge imbalance and women that do have accounts may only consider meeting guys in very rare instances. I don't think it's a gendered issue. I genuinely think many women and men seek partners outside their leagues. Many incels and single guys (like OP) have standards which they can't meet and they are superficial but act surprised when things don't work out down the track.

This guy is overweight and wants to date a slim/slightly overweight woman with a STEM background like Medicine or Engineering. He is literally searching for the top percentage of women and someone out of his league. Men looking for relationships and even dating (many incels) have standards which are to high.

Ah. Well I think the renter culture is very different in Europe which is pretty fair. In my country you usually need assets and also you don't want to go to most aged care facilities - ideally you'd want someone to be a carer for you in my home.

That’s fun and cute till you are old. Then living on a van or not owning any land is extremely stressful. Not to mention it’s a good hedge against the market or retirement funds

Good luck. I'm still not certain whether an issue actually exists based on that figure and whether a large percentage of men being single is inherently an issue. Especially as I see being single as great and given it opens many opportunities for self-actualisation. While I think loneliness is a problem I don't personally see romantic relationships as the automatic solution. The freedoms and norms associated with the 21st Century have made being single possible. I don't see this as inherently a p…

I really don't care personally about dating. But I find it interesting from a sociological and psychological approach - as many aspects of society and the economy are impacting people's willingness to enter committed relationships and people struggle more to achieve the markers of adulthood. In previous generations you could buy a home and stability in both lower and middle-class where that's becoming increasingly more difficult. People have to study more and having more debt with school, more d…

Interesting findings. It's funny and potentially explains why society tries to pressure women into dating men to get marriage and kids.

Do you understand that skewed sex ratios are often the by-product of sexism i.e. femicides look at China? I disagree, while the environment may drive men's behaviour you can't ignore biological factors like testosterone and others which makes them significantly more likely to engage in violence. Nah you are on reddit making a statement that you are concerned about the fact that 51% of young men are single. While you've highlighted that it's unclear why and that potentially it increases societal …

Yeah that study isn’t generalisable as it’s in Asian countries where most of us live in western countries. Those countries are extremely sexist and femicide is a huge issue. I love how you gloss over the scummy men. The reality is men need to convince women relationship with them are worthwhile. Plenty do plenty don’t. Woman are most likely to be raped or harmed or killed by men they know.

Condoms can break ? Ultimately the more markers of being an adult you have the better your dating options will be. Sadly in our generation things are harder but then maybe wait longer to date seriously which many are doing waiting till late twenties or early thirties. The things you listed are pretty normal in the middle class/upper middle class and educated cohorts inner city. I’m sure if you earn like $60-$70k in lower cost of living state it would be quite marketable. You don’t need to be rip…

You clearly know very little about women’s health. Many women respond poorly to birth control and sex always includes the risk of pregnancy even if it’s small. Your second paragraph is simplifying human behaviour. Abusers can be quiet, confident, introverts or extroverts - there is no one size fits all. I’m not going to blame women for choosing or staying with abusive men because these situations are extremely complicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 04:55 PM
1

Men are abusive and dangerous in all racial and socio-economic demographics. Given the risk dating and procreating presents to women it makes sense they want to get the best man possible to make the risk worthwhile. Violent men are basically everywhere and basically impossible to completely avoid sadly. Next best thing is to accept the risk but only for a guy that provides enough incentive. For reference look at school shootings and most violence is perpetrated by men. It's basically a gamble.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 04:43 PM
1

I’ve heard this line of reasoning and I’m skeptical because I think the violence is quite similar either way. The only difference I think occurs is when men are in relationships the violence is intimate partner violence/domestic violence and when they are single it’s societal violence that increases. Hence why I don’t understand the problem men are gonna be violent towards women regardless.

This. It’s not always that simple many guys get bored even if they’ve met the most amazing intelligent marriageable woman. Exactly they resent you either way to be honest - you can’t win. Many men want the option for both.

You know women have money and assets which can be used for child support and most payments I’ve seen are much lower than the costs the mother incurs raising the child. If you think like this it’s good you aren’t dating.

Yep and risk being raped, killed, abused, impregnated, labelled a slut/whore/hoe, human trafficked. If you are unable to remotely empathise with woman’s experiences and the fact that many of us prefer romantic intimacy then can’t help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 01:34 PM

Yes, although it depends why they have a high count. Some men are really insecure and use sex to mask it. Others have difficulties with intimacy and are avoidants. Overall these guys can become very callous with women and rude.

You attract what you are just don’t complain about women who live similar lifestyles. I’ve seen guys who act like party-boys and only do casual sex then act shocked that they only meet girls that cheat, like hooking up and other things.

If you are relatively well groomed, have decent communications skills, empathy and can respect women you can probably get with more girls tbh. If you make the other person feel safe, have fun and are non-judgemental it helps heaps. Most guys demean women as sluts for sleeping around and blame single mothers but then act confused when women adopt high standards
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 01:12 PM
1

Well not our fault some men have barely any standards. Pretty sure if you had to deal with the physical and psychological realities of getting pregnant you’d want the best partner possible. Further, dating is dangerous for many women so not surprised we want it to be worthwhile.

The advice to not pay for dates only refers to the beginning of dating and was designed to weed out men who want easy hook-ups. Sounds pretty reasonable. Many groups have the problem with externalising problems however it doesn't negate much of the advice and the enjoyment of having an all female space online. Also do you tell your depressed or ADHD or Autistic patients they need to take ownership to get their life in order? What's the point of seeing a doctor if I can do it on my own? R/FemaleL…

My issue is the way relationships are set up makes me resentful of having kids knowing that I have to sacrifice my body, but my partner is doesn’t have to make any real sacrifices unless they chose to. For the right guy maybe? But maybe not? Think being content being alone is valuable and defs not a complaint on my behalf - literally a good time!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 08:35 AM

Yep I would never do that. But deciding to have kids with a man is a risk because people have agency so he can change and become a shitty person

Personally, I don’t think it’s dire or that dying alone is bad, think being happy alone is very important. It reflects people’s freedom and individual choices.

I think that’s for all genders, plastic surgery and other features of society make people more materialistic. Shallow people like shallow people, not sure what the problem is with that? Building with someone is rare because most people in their early twenties don’t know wtf they are doing and are being selfish (men and women). It’s a bit ridiculous to expect someone to give up an opportunity to start a business or go to their dream school to just ‘build’ with someone with no guarantee- if a guy …
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 08:03 AM

Your ‘defence’ merely supports the notion that the bar is low for men in relationships and as partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 04:13 AM

For relationships and parenting yes, much lower. If you got someone pregnant it was your duty to marry and support them as a guy, now no-one will bat an eyelid.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 03:53 AM
1

I think you raise some fair points. But the reality is that if the bar for men is very low then all these vetting processes and dating with marriage in mind just rules out a significant number of men. Also including family is only relevant if they were an example you admire or want to emulate, which many people don’t. Also many women are shamed for having basic standards which doesn’t help the narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 03:41 AM
2

I don’t buy this notion that there are so many good guys in the friendzone bs - many guys are there for good reasons and many men are able to get married. Also while you can argue women should pick better it completely ignores that people can change so even if you pick “well” there are no guarantees that they will act in a certain way. Many guys say they’d be great dads and caring but when faced with actually having kids they underestimate how much is needed. Also men the bar is so low for men l…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 03:02 AM

You’re conflating pure lust and the longer-term passion with a partner. Like a fire you have to tend to it otherwise it dies very quickly, and guys like you wonder what happened. Also I don’t need a random stranger explaining to me women’s experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 02:29 AM

No it’s a 100% certainty that if a couple wants children the woman has to carry the child and give birth. Men can chose to provide, although increasingly men are not breadwinners or some abandon their kids or are absent fathers. Even when women stay home many are giving up the opportunity of building a decent job history/career so they are more vulnerable. That’s why from my view kids are a lose-lose proposition.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 02:25 AM

Pretty valid. As a woman I love kids but have never longed for my own so I can’t relate but I think that’s probably got truth to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:40 PM

Equality is bull-shit when the premise of a nuclear family is inherently unequal and based on women being self-less with their bodies or lives or opportunitues. Relationships need equity which acknowledges BOTH people’s needs - often men only have only learnt marriage = sex. Try question what needs each person can met to having a fulfilling marriage/relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:38 PM

Many are sold a dream and fantasy by marketing companies and culture. Most men start of romantic so you think it’s different and then quickly your past the point of no return. I wish more women asked tough questions early on, it opens your eyes.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:32 PM

I’m not wasting multiple years of my life ‘communicating’ with someone that has not empathy for me. Lol why is the onus on me if I’m feed up - also you can’t change peoples character easily. If someone has be a certain way for a while accept it and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:30 PM

Where do you think the concept of marriage originated from and has evolved from. A wife was often viewed as an asset - some to raise good children(heir), manage the home, provide intimacy and was thrift. She was invisible, but today women can be visible and leave when situations don’t serve them. Many men need to actually empathise with women today otherwise long-term they’ll slowly refuse dating .
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:27 PM

Many women like sex but if you have to work, manage domestic duties and receive minimal respect or love or emotional support it leads to resentment. A lot of modern relationships seem like roommates situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:23 PM

They are asking for the bare minimum. Insane that you think it makes women difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 11:18 PM

Im not sure you actually understand that in the real world it costs money to live, and a lot of people treat you better if you look a certain way. It’s not fair or nice, but it’s reality. Think many women see a guy paying as attractive because as it indicates he’s generous and if she decides to have kids with him he’ll be able to provide. Not perfect reasoning but fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 02:48 PM
1

No it’s not, because if you don’t appreciate it you don’t have to date her as there are plenty of women that are low maintenance. Also you can’t help it if you are a woman attracted to men that get the bill and make you feel valued.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 02:40 PM

I’m happy for you and your girl. But that could never be me - when it comes to marriage/kids. But that’s what great about our current world we can all do what we like and find the right person!
