Glad you're going to alanon. Stick with it - it's totally changed my life! For the first time in my life I can actually relax and enjoy myself.

My sex life still hasn't recovered after having kids so I spoke to my husband about it and he feels afraid to have sex with me because I had severe tearing after birth and sex was painful for me for a while. But its 2 years later now and I have recovered, my husband however, hasn't! I never would have known that unless I'd have straight up asked him "how come we're not having sex very often?" It's really best to just talk about stuff openly and honestly.

No one really gets on with their mother in law unless they're very lucky. The thing is, no matter how bad his relationship with her, she is the other woman in his life. Most men ADORE their mothers even if on the surface they're complaining a lot so do not go there and criticise his mother, it will not end well. Been there, done that! Just keep your mouth shut and complain to your girlfriends about it. As far as he is concerned you think she is a sweet, lovely lady and that's all that should com…

A lot of it is sleep, stress avoidance and genetics. As you age, your muscle mass decreases. If you still fit into the same dress size at 40 that you did at 30, it will be because your muscle has decreased and fat increased. Doing strength training and being active is going to take YEARS off you trust me. Dont let your muscles atrophy. It's one of the reasons why skinny old people dont look half as good as skinny young people.

I earn a very good wage for myself that is not in the millions by any means but it a lot more than my husband earns, parents have ever earned and more than most of my family and friends earn. So far.... no one has noticed and my husband doesnt care. People assume I'm broke and I dont tell them any different. Most of my money goes on savings/investments/pensions and on my kid. Sometimes if a guy is chatting with me and I tell him I'm in business and they ask how much i earn I'll tell them. It usu…

If you're co-dependent you're doing your husband a disservice. Enabling and making life all about him only encourages his behaviour and prevents him from getting better. I know men who's behaviour is truly awful, they drink every waking moment, dont get on with their kids and dont even work part time hours and their wives are full of excuses and do FBI style cover up missions every time their husbands fuck up. You dont want that.

Do you really want to be dominated? My husband is a very masculine man and is very successful and also very large. But he is my little pussy cat at home :) A lot of strong, masculine men want someone they can be soft with and show weakness around. I've known men who dominate their wives and kids and they tend to be weaklings who have no authority around other men.

To have a healthy diet and exercise you really need lots of self discipline. It's hard to not buy the bucket of ice cream. It's hard to get out of the house and exercise. If you're already trying to look for exercise you can do that's low maintenance and easier than gymming, your self discipline is lacking. Luckily self discipline is a science and can be learned, and our brains are plastic and we can easily become more self disciplined with practice. There are plenty of good books about it. You …

I'm tall and not skinny but have a very small build. I don't like showing my boobs off or anything like that, but I often wear micro length dresses which show off my legs. I don't think showing your legs off is too sexy. I wear skinny jeans, leggings with baggy jumpers/t-shirt and micro mini dresses with tights a lot. If it's a hot day (rarely) I'll go bare legged. I also wear heels. I didn't used to, but I've recently discovered that I love wearing them. I'm higher than everyone else, but I'm s…

Rough housing is important for little boys as it helps them learn boundaries when being violent. This will help him later on in life when someone initiates a bar fight and he has to decide whether to fight back, to do nothing, or to go too far and smash someone in the face with a glass. He learns the boundaries from his dad when he goes too far. He is learning from you that he can't go as far with women, and has to be gentler around women. That's an important lesson.

I think it depends where you live. Where I live, not cursing is suspicious and even a bit saccharine. When I go to America, people think I have filthy language, in the UK swearing is quite normal and even expected.

The dad needs to be ready too. Having a kid is MEGA hard. You'll be running a relationship on zero sleep, with a screaming baby, when there is a shit tonne of stuff to do. You will need his help often. You will perhaps even be completely physically dependent on him. If he even slightly resents you for having a kid too early, or even slightly regrets having a kid too young, it will cause problems for your relationship. When a man is ready to have kids they get as broody and excited about it as wo…

My husband's mom and his best friend both hated me. I did make a big deal of it at the time and reacted really badly to it which I shouldn't have. He is head over heels in love with me and people in love don't even listened to well reasoned arguments about why they should break up with someone. Just act nice to him and he will look like he's being a baby.

Men tend to relate to women based on their relationship with their mothers and it's why our roles as mother's are so important. If his mother does everything for him, he will probably expect you to do everything for him once he moves out, because you're a woman. In my opinion it is essential to have a man who can do basic cooking and cleaning because once you have a baby, you will then have two babies to look after and that can really break down a marriage. Honestly the drudgery of doing endless…

I'm 32. I rarely get any men look at me or approach me because I usually meet met in a work context or they know my husband so they are always respectful. If I do go out on a very rare girls night, I do get hit on by men in the same way I used to, it now makes me feel incredibly shy. Although the men will usually be the same age as I was when I was going out a lot (20-25). To be honest I find it really gross as my step son is 21 and I see men in their early twenties as little baby boys. I like t…

This happened to me multiple times when I was younger. I'd be flirting with a guy for ages, we'd make out, they'd ask me to go back to theirs, I'd say no. They would ghost me, until the next time they were drunk in the club, they'd say "baby I lost my phone! That's why I didn't text you!" They are only interested in having sex with you and if you don't provide that right away they will ghost you. They'll also ghost you if you did have sex with them right away. There will always be guys like this…

He's hard not to love. He's big and strong with amazing blue eyes and is a fantastic artist and successful designer. I met him on the bar scene and he is very fun, loves to dance, very popular. I fell for him in about a week. What's kept me in love with him is that I find out something new about him all the time. He's interested in so many things. I never get bored of him. On the surface he is very masculine on the inside he is quite feminine and loves colours, nature, cooking etc.

I used to get irrationally jealous of my husband's exes, so I came into this being prepared to give you advice to get over your insecurity. However, I don't think this is a problem with you. I had a boyfriend who put me in quite a similar situation, he was obsessed with his ex, took and kept plenty of photographs of her and talked about her non stop. She left him I have no doubt he would have never left her. They reopened communication on Facebook and I told him I was uncomfortable with that and…

You naturally become less attentive to your husband because your baby needs basically everything you've got. Your newborn baby/toddler can and will push you until you feel like you've got nothing left and you become a human zombie who is capable of little else than drinking coffee and staring into space. Every husband needs to be mature enough to handle that, and it helps if they have a role model in their lives who can explain to them that they won't be number one for a while after baby. A lot …

I personally haven't aged very quickly and usually get mistaken for being much younger, but I peaked really late. I was the ugly girl throughout high school and every one picked on me for the way I looked. I didn't really grow boobs or fill out until I was 21. I feel like this is why I look young for my age now, but I'm definitely past my peak. I don't look much older but my face has changed and I'm definitely not as cute as I was. I think I was at my best physically at 25 and not at 18. I think…

My advice is going to sound pretty old school but here it goes. You made a decision to marry this guy on your own free will, as an adult. When you marry someone, you make a promise in front of your friends and family that you will stay with this man though richer and poorer, sickness and in health. YOU promised that. You didn't promise to only stay with him if he grew into a high value alpha who earns more money than your friends. What do you think married people do when their husband develops P…

I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant. I got a double chin! I've lost all the weight and then some and that came off in the 1st 6 months due to breast feeding. I don't have saggy skin, but some extra skin around my tummy. I'm probably in as good a shape as I've ever been. Also not everyone hits the wall at 30. Everyone ages differently. My vagina is just fine, I had a lot of stitches but it looks the same as it always has and is much tighter which makes sex much more difficult and has mad…

30 isn't really as old as 22 year olds think. But someone ideally should have an established career by 30, some savings, know where they want to be in life and have their own place whether it be rented or owned. Getting these in place isn't as common as one would expect. I think it's our generation, we have failed to launch in some cases.

I've switched from getting white bread from the supermarket to home made sour dough from the bakers. No juice or soda - just drink water or tea without sugar. No latte frappe pumpkin syrup chinos. No bowls of branded cereal, they have heaps of calories. As do yoghurts. I eat plain yoghurt or plain oatmeal. If you don't eat sugary things often they taste just fine with a few berries. No mcdonalds, pizza hut or KFC. If I'm going to splash out and eat a pizza I'd rather eat one from a local resturaunt that doesn't have the gross thick greasy base. Or make fried chicken at home. No candy bars. You …

Self discipline is hard to learn. I wasn't raised with it, most people don't have it in the first place in order to teach it to their kids. Once you have self discipline these things won't be as tough, don't expect your friends to do it for you, they aren't doing it to themselves. So they aren't going to hold you accountable, no one is, no one cares as much about you as you do. It's a hard trait to master, but it's possible.

For me, red pill is a conscious decision to not flow with what I feel like society is trying to encourage me to do as a woman. I feel like it's become normal to think you can mess around until your thirties, and that someone will be there waiting for you at the end of it. We're told any kind of hopes you have for a husband and kids will all be fulfilled, so don't worry about settling down when you're 25, that's too young. I use nothing, no skin care. If I wear makeup on my skin it's only a bit of concealer and I just wash it off with a little bit of soap. I'm more concerned with building up my skin microbiome. I was over using products and I got dermatitis. Makeup and products were making me ugly when I took it off.

Build up your bones. Seriously, your bones grow in density in your twenties. Eat enough calcium because otherwise you have less bone in the bank and it starts to deplete fast after menopause. Once you're twenties are over you can't increase your bone density. So do weight bearing exercise and eat enough. Too many girls diet in their twenties, it's dumb. Sometimes people aren't fully invested in a relationship but they like the validation you bring them and don't want to be rejected by you because it stings. Be careful of spending time with a guy you feel isn't 100% into you. I think it's a case of not trying to look like you're sexually available or courting attention, but still looking fashionable and sexually attractive to your husband. I've seen a lot of women give up. Particularly after having kids or the menopause. They think their man doesn't care about how they dress/ not having sex/ how over weight they are. Guess what? I am very career orientated as well. I met my husband at 26, got married by 28 after a year long engagement and got pregnant at 29. I will be having more kids in my early 30s, hopefully last baby at 35. It's at 35 that your fertility really starts to decline but this is different for every woman. The women in my family go through menopause in their mid sixties and several have had babies in their early 40s. For other women, they're going to get early menopause. My mum is like this. My son had spilt a little of his drink down him before we went out. My mother wanted me to change him, I said no, she said "its no wonder he's always sick". I pointed out how I was in hospital through ear infections a lot because of her smoking fags around me. This is a typical day for us. Most people are armsy dancers and dance to the lyrics/melody, which makes their dancing kind of suck. If you find the beat in a song, and practice dancing to that, you will automatically be a better dancer than most people in the club. I practice dancing in the mirror before I go out. I think if you work on yourself to get to a stage where you are happy with you, you will attract a higher quality man when the time comes. If you're insecure you're just going to attract dodgy men who wish to take advantage, in my opinion. I can't see you getting a relationship where you're truly fulfilled if you're currently unhappy with yourself. I think you're incredibly mature because a lot of young women would seek to find their validation/self esteem through a relationship.

I think it's good to post what you have to offer instead of what you expect from a man. R/whereareallthegoodmen is an insight into what men hate on tinder. Maybe focus on feminine qualities you have, like being a good listener or being caring. Having babies is hard graft. It'll take up the majority of your energy and you will inevitably be dependent on him at some point whether you decide to have kids now or later. That's part of married life! Providing you pick a good provider, it should be quite a pleasant experience! You can choose to do babies now and career/education later, or you could do the reverse. Both are worth considering and I think more young people should carefully plan how they spend their twenties. Not to depress you …

I didn't move in with my husband until a few months after we were married. Sure he stayed over at my place quite regularly, but I made it clear it was my place and would even ask him to leave if we had a fight.

He gives my toddler his evening meal, bathes him and puts him to bed every single night. Our kid is OBSESSED with him. I'm a stahm and do all the night time care so I really appreciate a glass of wine and some reading time/reddit time in the evening. He also wakes up early with him on weekends so I can have a lie in. He's actually the best dad ever.

My husband's ex cheated on him with another man. Neither of us feel any kind of way about it because the relationship wasn't working anyway, he's happier with me and his ex is still with the guy she cheated on him with 10 years later. Life is usually messy!

I don't know when I lost my hymen but whatever happened to it - I don't miss it one bit. Probably all it did was made sex a lot more painful when I lost my virginity. Like really painful.

Totally cut sugar from your diet and you'll probably struggle to keep the weight on. Cutting sugar includes cutting stuff like white bread.

You can play with yourself at the same time. He will probably even like that. I always say a blow job is called a blow JOB because it should feel like you're going to WORK. It's not easy to give a good blow job, it's tiresome but guys really like it so worth it for 10 minutes of serious effort. Kinda like the gym.

How much do you like this guy honestly? It's been a month and it seems like you both cannot communicate with one another. If you've just started sleeping together, the first month should be all heart eyes and not getting out of bed. If this is what it's like one month in I don't think it bodes well for marriage.

Older men are great. But I don't see any reason why you shouldn't see where things go with this guy.

To me the situation sounds really odd. Because I don't think there's anything special about my situation or my husband, I think men are horny by default and I've heard so many cases of men wanting to sleep with women they don't even like/aren't really even attracted to that I think there is a bigger problem with your husband's sex drive. Plenty of women I know, even way older women, feel pressure from their husband to have sex EVERY day. A mum bun and tracksuit isn't going to put off most men. I…

Here's a standard marketing tactic. We perceive things that are in short supply as being more valuable. I don't see any problem with texting back quickly but don't always be available to text. After you've done with the convo be like "ok it was great talking I'm going to go and have a bath now". Don't hang out all the time and when you are on a date, pick a time to leave and stick to it. Leave him wanting more, don't wait for the conversation to be exhausted. You don't need to play any games wit…

I was really confused about this because I was a psycho while pregnant too and I rarely make an effort with my appearance, too busy with the kids. My husband is ALWAYS horny. We had a great sex life when I was a hippo at 9 months pregnant. He knows I need more effort from him to get in the mood now so he takes me out regularly, wines and dines me, we spend the night flirting and then get into it. My husband wakes up with a boner like most healthy men and is pretty much ready to go for the rest o…

At the start of my career I was "one of the boys". I went out drinking a lot with my bosses. Looking back I don't think I made any long term positive impact on my network. I wish I had stayed for a drink or two, then left. Not stayed until things got messy. Many of my ex bosses were alcoholics/coke addicts. That's part of my industry. Doing this didn't get me far, my actual work was what got me places. I avoid these people now and I think they probably avoid me too because I know too much. I kno…

I'd say the opposite to most people here. Don't be one of the lads, don't engage in their jokes and go out for after work drinks. This is basically asking for people to cross the line with you and confess sexual or emotional feelings. Then you'll have to reject them and then they will get butt hurt and potentially make your life difficult. Been there, done that! Be the kind of woman that people don't feel like they can try it on with. Keep it strictly business. Show up, do your work/overtime and…

I've had the same feedback that I am "intense". Just hold back a little and try and do more listening then talking. Social skills are hard but if you study them you'll be way ahead of the game.

I started writing and deleted a reply to this many times. There is so much to developing social skills that I can't condense it in a post. I improved my social skills from watching you tube videos and reading books. Also from watching people who are more popular than me and actually copying what they do. I had severe shyness, which I tried to sort of explode out of, making me appear brash, argumentative and blunt. Now I've managed to tone it down and have many many female friends. I recommend re…

Apparently it starts declining properly at 35 so you have time. Everyone ages differently. It's not a hard and fast rule for every woman. I'm thinking about baby number 2 in a year or so. I'm not ready but that clock is ticking 😥

Look not all of us have been well advantaged in life and plenty of people, including me have had a bad past. It's not fair, in my opinion to judge them on their start. It's what you're doing now that's important.

This is kinda like the opposite of when I get hormonal and say to my husband "I'm so sad that you'll never know what it's like to carry and give birth to a baby." Or i say "don't you ever get jealous that you can't dress up all pretty and have people tell you how cute you are?" And he's like wtf why would I want to do that?? Somewhere along the line it seems like women have wanted to become more like men. Where as men don't really seem to feel the reverse.

I wore a lot of tight knee length dresses, or just this big moo moo type of shorter dress. When you get pregnant enough nothing is loose anyway, and I think it's ok to show off your pregnant shape. Dresses are good because t shirts tend to not be long enough to cover the bump. I bought some maternity jeans which were pretty amazing. Binned them right away after though because I wore them almost every day.

My advice: it can take a healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant. It took me 9 months of trying and I was so stressed - I regret that now, everything was fine. Nobody talks about how long it took for them.

You absolutely can't predict what kind of mother you're going to be and what you want for your kids before they're born. It's totally animalistic. I thought I would be still focussed on my career after my son was born, and wanted to stick with my husband's plan of having 3 kids in quick succession. Not gonna happen. My bond with my son has killed me, I pander to his every whim, breastfed him to one year, won't put him in day care and I can absolutely not think about having more kids while I'm so…

I read somewhere that women can't expect men to be gentlemen nowadays because they aren't ladies. True, but if you are a lady then you should expect someone to be a gentleman. He should be respectful of your politics and not make sexual jokes about you right away if you're doing your part of being lady like.

Could be solved today if he goes over there and she takes a pregnancy test in front of him. If she's genuine she will be eager to do it! There are very rarely false positive pregnancy tests I believe. Anyway, I'm sorry you're going through all this it sounds like more drama than I could handle.

Damn that's bad. I guess if she is pregnant you'd have to give him some space. It would be REALLY hard to continue a relationship with someone who's supporting their ex through a pregnancy. Pregnancy is FULL ON. My spidey senses are tingling with this though, it's not like pregnancy is the most common event in the world and it wouldn't be the first time I've seen a girl pull the "I'm pregnant, oh no wait I've had a miscarriage" game. Make sure he sees her do a test in front of him. Seems a bit o…

Yes! So true. Jealous and possessive men aren't "alpha" they're insecure that some other man can easily take you away from him. And in my opinion, jealously is the unsexiest thing in the world.

Guys really don't work the same as girls, and you know what, I don't know the whole situation, but I think you may be over thinking things. Maybe it's a situation totally different to what you have in mind. Maybe he's taken it for granted that you're interested and doesn't feel like he has to try as hard. Maybe he's realised through talking more that you're not compatible, maybe HE is trying to play it cool. Maybe he is just busy. It could be a number of things. I wouldn't worry about it too muc…

In my experience when people have used the silent treatment on me it's always been about something crazy. Something they're a little bit embarrassed to admit they're angry about. Like my nephew, 14, will sulk if I tell him to turn fortnite off, but he won't "have it out" with me because he knows he's being stupid. I've had a guy use the silent treatment on me because he thought I'd had sex with a random stranger in the bathroom at a cafe in the middle of the day. And this insanity was a regular …

When you're struggling with motivation, make sure you're taking at least one step forward a day. A lot of little steps can take you quite far you know! A book called the compound effect sums this up pretty nicely.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I think every one has baggage to a degree, but in my opinion it's about working on yourself and doing a lot of self improvement. Even with no baggage, if you aren't in the habit of improving yourself you'll fail to grow up. Some of the most inspiring people have had difficult pasts!

I agree. My husband went ghost white when the baby was coming out and I'm surprised he didn't faint. Made me start panicking that something was wrong. Next time I want my mother there so my husband can just observe it and not have to do the pep talk and fruit juice supplying. The only useful thing he did was run me a bath. Bless him. Men aren't used to feeling like the most useless person in the room. I think he'd be the first person to admit that he had no idea what to do, even with direction f…
