My ex was very eager to be a SAHD...his idea was that I'd work (I run a very successful business) and he'd stay home BUT when I mentioned that 1: it's not all roses and 2: he doesn't do anything around the home to help now and does bare minimum his answer was..."oh but I'd get a cleaner, Gardener ,home help etc On who's money!!!? His idea of a SAHD was to sit do nothing but play with our daughter and hire help on my money. (I can do that myself) This is the man who lied about his salary, complai…

I enjoy giving BJs , turning my partner on is a turn on for me. BUT...only if I'm in the mood and my partner is damn good at giving too. It took me a while to understand that giving a man a BJ isn't a prerequisite and I don't have to if I don't want to. Especially if he's not willing to go down on me or make sure I've orgasmed more than once. Like others I'm only willing to give in exclusive relationship's. It's actually part of my vetting, is he willing and able to get me off and enjoy giving m…

Since getting rid of my ex I have been dating myself regularly. The last month has been hectic as I booked my very first Business to business trade fair in less than two weeks 😬. (I'll soon have stockists 🥰) So I've not had a date with myself recently, but it's my birthday in a few weeks and I intend to take myself out, dress up and wear the new lipstick I bought a month ago. Ladies date YOU, because YOU deserve it no matter where you are in life.

I asked my ex for a break in 2017 it's now 2021. I never looked back, been happily single living my best life just myself and my daughter.

🤡 It's very common, I've had the same response from a ex male friend. He was surprised that I would actually be in a relationship with a woman 🤡 ...yes I'm bi which means I date women 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

This bought back memories....... One LVX invited me to his cousins JW christening, left me sitting with strangers for hours. His mum went off on him when he came back, he of course didn't see a problem. The same guy invited his cousin (never met them and apparently they were having problems so he invited him as to help out)and his girlfriend to our Valentine's dinner without asking me and told me just before we got to the restaurant.....a restaurant I might add I didn't like the first time he to…

THIS!!! I consistently asked my LVX to plan family dates, personal dates, help out etc nothing just nothing. When I booked mine and my daughter plane tickets to see family in Canada, he was shocked! Shocked about a holiday that my Aunt invited us both too. My grandfather died and I had to plan everything on my own with a 6month old child and a very successful business, my Aunt came over for three days and said come over to us in Canada for a break. Both of us, not just me but my LVX too. When I …

The only time I've ever offered to / paid for a "date" is 1: it's not a date, I've gone out with friends 2: I never intend to go on another date with said guy. If you've asked me out you are paying ,end of.

I'm sorry but having worked in the fashion and costume world for nearly 20 years, most photographers need to have release forms signed by the model / person who they are photographing. Just because you have a "professional" camera doesn't mean you can go around taking photos of people on the street.......would these commenters be saying the same thing if this guy was outside a school?!! She is well within her right to ask or to be photographed and to report him to the police.

1: Never planned anything / wanted to plan ( at the start he kind of did,but I actually realised that I actually followed through and planned because I run my own company and couldn't just go on the fly) 2: didn't / couldn't make decisions (not even what restaurant to eat at) 3: refused to cook, Not even together. He blew up and started shouting that he doesn't cook and it's my thing not his. (Later on when he sensed I was going to leave, he decides he wanted to cook. I said thanks but no thanks…

I used to do this in my teens / twenties works every time 😂. I'm now 40 and I still use it as I get 60 year olds trying it 🤢

I can't even put what I'm feeling into words...... But I know as a mother who for nine months asked for copies of every piece of paperwork I got from my midwives, so I could give to my then partner to read. Did he read any of it ....fuck he didn't!! This is exactly what this guy did, he didn't care to read any information or ask any questions because his wife would do all of it. I feel sick. This woman is half dead because of him and he has the audacity to want sympathy for being a whole hard re…

I've straight up asked for id on a date, no id no date. I dated a guy who told me his name and then 6 months later I saw his id and it said something different.

I'm definitely trying, she's already talking about babies and marring at five. I'm trying to make sure she knows that's not the only role a woman is for. Hopefully she'll see this as she gets older. I run two companies and didn't have her until I was 35 so I'm trying to lead by example. I can't protect her from what society dictates so I'll have to just make sure her home life is FDS.

Ok this isn't about a ring. I kept asking my NVX that the £150 a month he was giving me wasn't enough and that with childcare, nappies, food etc that the amount doesn't even cover a week of childcare. He upped it to £200 a month after 6 months of nagging. He kept saying he couldn't afford it (we didn't live together because he got a promotion when I was 3 monthly pregnant and moved 4 hours away) but every weekend he came down he'd spend 100's of ££ on stuff for the baby, filling the fridge, eating…

I started buying myself flowers weekly after ending it with my LVX. He'd only buy flowers for mother's Day and maybe valentine's. Never my favourite flowers which are Tulips and even bought me Lillies which I'm allergic to one mother's Day (I was sick the whole day ) so I treat myself to Tulips every week if I can find them. Once I had my daughter buying myself anything, even clothes went out the window. I spent all my money on my daughter, childcare or my Business. I was so burnt out that my bod…

I’d never want to make my children feel like they were a burden for being born. I definitely felt this, ohooo this 😔. It really is crazy because having a child made me think about my childhood, I just couldn't understand some of the things my mum did. I realised the reason I was in so many unhealthy relationship's is because I was trying to please others to be liked, I equalled attention to being loved because I didn't get that as a child. I'm happy you're in a better place, I do think it's a li…

Thank you, I'm doing the work with my therapist and with a young daughter I don't want her to feel she owes me anything for just giving birth to her. Sorry you've had to go through the same with your mother, it's sad but once you break free, you feel so light.

This is one reason out of many why I'm no longer in contact with my own mother. I was always told 'you're too sensitive' 'the world doesn't revolve around you' and to 'get over it' because of childhood trauma and being an adult means sucking it up and moving on. The one person I thought I could go to for emotional support gaslights me, tells me I'm ungrateful, selfish and that she sacrificed so much for me. I had no support when I was in a mentally abusive relationship, she even worked with him …

I completely agree. I was this woman 3 1/2 years ago, no support system. My mother telling me how I should understand my LVX side and maybe his upbringing was different. His culture was different (he's Irish, I'm Jamaican) oh well he at least pays some money / buys things. The last straw was when he came on holiday with me to visit my family in Canada and instead of it being a well earned break (I went the year before just myself and my 13 month old) it was exhausting!! The last week I told him …

This happen to me at university, I started seeing this guy and he disappeared for two weeks!! No text,no call nothing.... He came back two weeks later. He saw me out with friends ( I'd stopped to do my laces up) I saw two feet stop in front of me and when I looked up it was him....know what I did, got up and walked straight past him like he wasn't there and got on with my life. He didn't get so much as a word from me ever again and we had mutual friends. Other than my daughters dad I have no iss…

I'm 40 and not long found FDS, I understand how you feel. Finding out later in life sends you into a loop, but all is not lost and it's never too late. I have good days / weeks then sometimes it hits me that I've wasted so many years with looking through rose tinted pickme glasses. I blamed myself, I was more angry at myself than with my ex for sticking around and wasting valuable time. I have a beautiful daughter and all I can do now is level up and make sure she doesn't fall into the trap soci…

When I was with my ex and he'd taken our daughter on his own and then we'd see friends I'd get 'oh we saw Steve (not his name) out babysitting' I always corrected them. He's her dad, he's not out babysitting! He once had the audacity to turn round to me and say 'oh I'll babysit if you want' stfu!! I told him you don't babysit your own child and all I got was 'oh well you know what I mean' I flipped out and told him if he wants to spend time with his child fine, if doesn't that's fine too....but …
