Don’t give her the possibility or the temptation to hurt you. Tell her that her inability to even consider the possibility of trusting in your love enough to be happy with a fair pre-nup that provides for her, says a lot about her faith in your love.

Sexual desire doesn’t work on some logical schedule that’s convenient for you. It takes however long it takes to develop and it’s simple as that. If its taking me longer to feel horny and intensely attracted to you, than some other dude - um sorry SO WHAT? i guarantee it took me much longer with other guys. It’s not some conscious judgment. It’s not a decision. I’m not madly wanting to jump your bones, but withholding for the sake of it? I DONT FEEL SEXUALLY AROUSED OR EMOTIONALLY ATTRACTED ENOU…

Couple of thoughts - firstly you’re missing the wholesome nature of those comments. (Though I do see why it sounds…. Awful and not quite worded right). It’s experienced as a surprising, welcome, lovely experience when you find yourself becoming totally into somebody you didn’t expect. It’s wonderful to suddenly see the beauty and sexiness in someone, through the eyes of love. And it’s refreshing to realise through direct experience that “objective physical attractiveness” and perfection isn’t th…

I don’t know why people play dumb when it comes to the importance of factors other than looks. If you truly, thoroughly, believe that looks are the fundamental, inescapable, primary source of female sexual desire - and that we are all “pretending it’s not true”… All I can say is, you better be sure and check that assumption. Truly, honestly, scientifically see if there’s any way you’re incorrect on this one. Because if you’re wrong about how attraction and desire is wired in women, the very peop…

In my experience 30 days is a bit short. There is no point using arbitrary numbers, the actual answer is to listen to what your body is telling you. You don’t have sex until you are STRONGLY sexually and emotionally attracted to them and trust them. If this attraction persists, and doesn’t fizzle out over time - that’s a decent sign. But the most important thing to get in touch with internally is, do I feel any urgency or timeline about having sex with this guy? Am I worried about upsetting or h…

It’s helpful for confidence and discipline etc, but the gym obsession and musclerexia becomes unhealthy when guys spend all their time there and think that’s all they need to do to attract girls - improve their body. It’s unhealthy because it is untrue. Never allow yourself to lose sight of the fact that womens sexual desire is based on much more than physical attraction. So much more that you’re a fool to ignore it. Unless you’re unbelievably physically attractive, it’s unlikely that mere physi…

Doesn’t need to be an emotional bond or commitment, but it does need to be emotionally stimulating or interesting in some way. Bad boys at least provide some intrigue. It’s not enough to rock up and think your muscles, sex moves and silent emotionless orgasm are sexually satisfying for most girls. Also you don’t need sex to feel validated or to get affection. I would happily give you a hug and validation.

But it isn’t. Demisexuality is about what I am physically/sexually attracted to. ie what turns me on. I can have sex with someone but not be turned on or feel attracted or horny. happens a lot

There’s no contradiction, you just misunderstand what demisexuality means.

You could be more selective but still jump at the chance of a woman did approach you sexually like this. I mean, that’s exceedingly rare. Typically men seek out sex and actively try to make it happen, even when it doesn’t necessarily need to, even when they aren’t attracted to the girl really, and even when there might be negative consequences. Being more selective would mean, being honest with oneself (eg I’m actually not sexually aroused by this person at all, I think I’m just having sex for t…

It’s possible to be demisexual, but have sex for reasons that don’t involve sexual attraction. Lots of people have sex with people they arent really physically attracted to. Men included. Demisexuality is about what you’re actually sexually attracted to.

Women don’t think that, you’ve just completely misinterpreted the entire thing and offended yourself in the process. Good looks isn’t what turns us on most sexually, for the zillionth time. We aren’t very interested at all in purely physical casual sex. We are very interested in sexual exploration that involves emotional attraction/connection. So if you’re hitting us up for a casual sexual experience that completely ignores what we’re into (emotional stuff), and is based entirely on physical att…

But it’s not that the urge is only inhibited because of negative repercussions. It’s firstly that the impulse isn’t very strong in the first place, so it’s breathtakingly easy to disregard. And secondly, that there is a distinct lack of potential benefits involved in casual sex based on mere physicality. If it were more rewarding and exciting, we’d be motivated to do so. But. Its shallow and kind of pointless - really the opposite of what most women truly deeply sexually crave. I assure you that…

It’s crazy that you think that’s even possible. Hey, maybe that account of female sexuality does apply to some women. I can’t speak for us all. But I can tell you with absolute certainty that my sexuality does not operate like that in any way. Mate, I WISH I needed to suppress or deny my libido, because I want to be “virtuous”. It’s much the opposite. There’s a lot of “sex” on offer that is not even the slightest bit enticing, or attractive to me. Everywhere I look there’s sexual stuff and men a…

It’s not that difficult. 95% (higher actually!) of men are not physically attractive enough to arouse sexual desire in most women. It’s not a CHOICE, or a judgment. It’s not arbitrary. We aren’t trying to annoy you lol. We quite literally don’t find physical appearance particularly exciting or enticing on its own. (With the very odd exception.) Dudes get hung up on this idea that just because a few extremely good looking outlier men get casual sex a lot, then that must mean all women DO feel sex…

I’m so confused. Please explain! Why would I want to pretend I’m demisexual as a woman? What am I supposedly gaining from such a charade? I don’t understand why some of y’all think I’m feeling sexual attraction/desire to a dude, but acting aloof and hiding it and claiming to be demi? Why on earth would I do that? If I feel an attraction, that’s a rare/desirable feeling - I want to explore that, I want to satisfy that desire …. not pretend it doesn’t exist??

This scenario really doesn’t apply. It’s pretty different to the usual dating situations. Plenty of women are going to be more motivated to have casual sex with semi celebs and the like. This in no way proves they’re purely physically attracted, and dont require an emotional connection. Firstly, I’ve fucked a semi celeb before purely so I had a good story to tell. Yeah he happened to be good looking, and it was fun and exciting to talk to him - but that’s not the same thing as being sexually att…

In response to your point that the only people harping on about women being demisexual are folks women aren’t having casual sex with… Well, of course dudes having lots of casual sex aren’t talking about demisexuality? Why would they? If they’re into casual sex rather than relationships they probably don’t even know the difference? Not to mention that guys obviously (but wrongly) assume that if a girl is having casual sex with them, then that means they’re physically and sexually attracted to the…

I’m demisexual but I’ve had casual sex on occasion. Casual sex doesn’t imply physical attraction… There are all sorts of motivations for casual sex, if you’re not in a particularly healthy place (eg trying to get over an ex, being adventurous, desperation, way too drunk, having something to brag or bitch about, trying to make some jealous etc). Many years ago I had casual sex with 2 exceptionally good looking guys, mainly because we clicked instantly, they were fun and I was bored/lonely - but a…

That better describes the way my libido is reactive in the context of a long term relationship, long after the honeymoon period. Prior to having sex with my previous long term partners (and during honeymoon period), I absolutely had a heightened sex drive and desire to have sex with them. The emotional and mental connection came first, then a certain tipping point was reached and they became sexually attractive to me - suddenly, my perception of their face and body transformed before my eyes and…

Yes, if guys are still chasing a higher body count after a decade of success, I consider that a sign of pathology in most cases. They are certainly more likely to cheat, and in general it is a red flag that there are some attachment and interpersonal issues, often childhood trauma etc.

Excellent question. As humans, we need to think about this more. I think the average normie woman wants a guy who is vulnerable (but also strong). The average woman has a lot to figure out about her own emotions, too. So despite how they might feel about their own capacity to be understanding and compassionate, they are not always well developed enough to handle a man's true vulnerability in reality. The vulnerability most women are looking for, is a more developed vulnerability, I believe. A se…

Yes. In my early 20s I had a girlfriend who was very beautiful, but also very down to earth. She tended to have straight up ugly boyfriends. i.e., there was a major/unusual discrepancy in physical attractiveness. I remember finding this quite impressive, and interesting. It changed the way I thought about attraction. After that, I definitely felt more free to explore hookups and relationships with guys who weren't conventionally attractive in the slightest. It taught me a lot about how sexual/ro…

My boyfriend is 30 and very physically attractive, and his count is somewhere around the 150-200 mark. I understand that he considers this to be a lot lower than it could be. (From my perspective, this is accurate in the sense that he could easily have had a higher body count if that's all he focused on 24/7.) However, in the five years we've been together (open ish relationship) he's had long periods of being "lazy" on this front (i.e., where he is quite content spending all his time with just …

I'm fascinated by RP etc, and I have dated and been in relationships with RP guys where it's openly discussed. I think I am drawn to the concept, because I felt responsible for raising my younger brother when we were growing up. When he was 17, he asked me how to get girls. I gave him some advice. He followed it and it was very successful. We had a lot of fun with different ideas and strategies etc. I think this can be a really healthy and useful stage for young men to go through. Some may stay …

Hey thanks heaps for weighing in. I absolutely agree. It's a really tough spot because obviously we don't want to promote violence against women, but we still need to find a way to explain the whole conflict/aggression in mating thing in a nuanced but digestible way. Suppressing/denying aggression doesn't make it disappear anyway - it comes out in one way or another. PS I am so pleased you find my perspective refreshing, because I've been thinking deeply about this stuff for a few years now, and…

May I also run an idea of mine by you? I've observed that some guys can get very confused about the role of aggression in attraction and dating. We often see guys complaining about girls going for "bad boys", or the more modern version of this complaint which is something like "chicks ride the chad carousel til their 30s when they settle for beta bux". These complaints/misunderstandings seem to stem back to that fundamental lack of knowledge about the important role of aggression and conflict in…

I was going to say the same thing! From everything I listed, I had a hunch that the ability to express aggression might be the most important. For the reasons you just stated, and many more. One thing I think that's very important here, is that if you have some level of comfort in expressing aggression, that likely means that you've had at least one relationship in your life in which you were able to express yourself in an authentic way. In which you were accepted for who you are (at your best a…

Soz but this is a depressed and distorted way of looking at it. Also forgets that women are seeking something different than men are. Women seek men with capacity for long term relationships (and ideally resources/ability/desire to raise a child in the medium ish future). That's priority 1. (Obviously, if we could have it all, we'd also ask for strong immediate chemistry/physical attraction - however this is a rare occurrence and thus a stupid thing to place too much value on. Thus it is a lower…

From my own experience nurturing a younger brother who struggled socially initially, and did not have a masculine role model (besides what I, as a big sister, tried to embody as best I could): - Needs to have experienced at least one close, trusting relationship with a girl/woman. Whether it's a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, schoolfriend, or whatever. This relationship should have involved some sense of emotional attachment, as well as conflict. - Needs to feel comfortable expressing aggression …

I'm an intelligent woman, and I have never (not even once) felt that men were intimidated by this. Quite the opposite. It has always confused me when I hear women say that men are intimidated by intelligent women. I've always just assumed there must be something else going on? (Obnoxiousness? Inability to see things from a man's perspective?)
