Don’t put too much stock in small experiences like this. As someone said, not everyone is going to like you. Just move on. Don’t harbor negative feelings as that negativity carries on to future relationships and you don’t want that. Best of luck.

Okay then by that logic you can say the same thing about sociopaths. There are varying degrees of it. Or Autism for that matter. not every autist will be Rain man. it’s all on a spectrum and some people are more narcissistic than others. Also it’s a disorder that is tally paired with something else too. all of these factors lead to why it’s hard to diagnose. not to mention how easy it is to fool doctors/ psychologists when trying to get diagnosed.

My sister in christ you are on one of the most niche, chronically online places on the interwebs rn. Reddit is a huge place. Thats why there are people who have different experiences. There are plenty of subreddits that are feminist or have feminist undertones. While I agree somewhat that yeah misogyny is everywhere, there are other places you can go on here to not feel like that because this isn’t one of them

lol nice. I dated a girl with your exact same mentality once. She tried to destroy me. Didn’t stoop to her level. Tried to help her out with her next bf after we sort of were on good terms for a bit. Then she tried to destroy another guy. He didn’t stoop to her level either. Then she met the third guy and she tried him. He was not having it. He spun it back on her. More than she could handle. Physical, verbal, mental. really screwed her up.

yeah i agree, i take no offense when a woman prefers another woman to talk to/ hang out with other than me. or maybe she’s standoffish to me but not to my women friends. thats fine. maybe she has had bad experiences with men and is just fed up with them. no big deal to me. i’m not going to take that kind of stuff heart

also to note, i do have nuanced views as well. Are there a lot of women i do look down upon? Yeah. it i realize a lot of that is due to my own plethora of mental illnesses and is not limited to just men. I am also completely pro-choice, dislike the american right, etc. you’re right. people are complex

Yeah exactly. We all have prejudices and dislikes of a group of people. But there are women out there that say “respect all women” and will get mad at men who say they don’t respect a certain type of woman. yet they have a laundry list of types of men they don’t respect. complete double standard

that’s unfortunate. But i hope they treat you well. Everyone has prejudices sadly, men and women. no matter how big or small, gender or race or creed or whatever. we can only hope that we don’t let them get the best of us. It’s true. Most men won’t admit it but I’ll say it. Most men don’t actually respect women, or respect certain women. Yes, we will be respectful in public. We will respect our partners, mothers, etc. but i think that every guy has a certain type of women (Fat, trans, OF, take your pick) that he just straight up thinks are inferior.
