Oh man I can relate to this so hard. Good for you for cutting things off before getting even more attached.

Someone put this into words and I just-- Going through this right now. My girl will: make packed lunches, cook dinners every night, clean the house, go on his boat to watch him fish, fold socks, help him with his side hustle -- all for the same NVM scrote with a shitty moustache to tell her he has no time for her and can only really give her half a night every week if that. I hate it here.

My fave line: It's also a reminder that, in all things, the bar for male behaviour is subterranean.

Will forever recommend this sub. Best thing I ever did was realise having kids is not the only choice in my life and that set me free.

Omg. Sorry to hijack but this gave me PTSD lol My ex's best friend is actually a very HVM (I didn't like him because he never rlly made an effort with me but whatever I can see him treating his wife LIKE A QUEEN) and organised a surprise birthday/baby shower for his then pregnant wife over zoom. He got over 30+ people to attend (did you know Zoom can split screens to accommodate? I didn't) He made sure everyone attending had cake delivered so we can all enjoy it together. That was the type of ma…

SAD actually came from the meme group Subtle Asian Traits. There are a lot of other groups that focuses on the collectives' similarities. I'm not a fan of the group but thought I should point out how this came to be. The auctioning off aspect is cringe. You'll note that the people in this group are generally quite young, and it's just another outlet for them to flex for the most part. Not my cup of tea 🤷‍♀️

Girl same! Candle lit, fairylights on, the apartment smells like Christmas and cookies and I have Tinashe's Christmas on play. It's a vibeee. Will chuck on a facemask and binge something wholesome.

Ah if only I could have shown me this back in my pickme days 😌😌 I mean she probably wouldn't have listened. But to this day, I can honestly say: a man that you have to beg to do ANYTHING, is a man who is 100% not worth it. You can quote me on that.

Are you me? My ex made it seem like I suddenly lost my sex drive and it felt like a chore for me to have sex with him. It was. I was his free bangmaid and forever girlfriend. Now that I'm single my sex drive is back with a vengeance. I should have known though: I didn't want to have sex with him but I was more than happy with my sex toys? So many things coming to light esp since I've found this sub tbh

Sis, louder for the cheap seats in the back!!!!!! I'm also Asian and had ZERO curves growing up. I thought because I didn't look like what women in the media looked like, I wasn't beautiful in my own way. Now that I'm grown though, let me tell you: I fucking rock what I have. And it's not so much that my body has changed (it has, of course, because I'm no longer 16), but also my mindset about not wanting to fit into the mold of what magazines and tv shows tell me is beautiful. I know what I am -…

Ugh. I read this and cringe so hard at my pickmeisha self back in the days. I thought my LV ex was right; that if he wasn't comfortable with what I wore I should be the one making compromises. It didn't matter that I wore this exact "problematic" clothes back before he cuffed me but all a sudden it made him uneasy. FFS. I get so mad thinking about it now but I've vowed to never let ANYONE dictate wtf I wear, how I talk, ANYTHING about me. That chapter of my life is over.

Ok so this is a serious question (I have read the handbook but perhaps I've missed this), but if we should be dating multiple men to vet (and not catch feelings) does the same logic not apply to them either? I'm confused but open to a discussion about this. Edit: thanks for all the replies and PMs. this discussion was really eye opening and i really appreciate you all for taking the time to share your thoughts!!

This. Also I'm glad you posted this up because I am going through the same thing. The physical attraction wasn't there for me at first, and he's not usually my type. But the chemistry is real and now I can definitely say there is a palpable attraction because he's meeting me at my level and that's pretty sexy.

The Stoics believe the same for truth telling. If someone insists that they are 'being honest' one would need to question the clarification and wonder what they have not been honest about previously.

This is honestly my fave go-to sub!!! I love how encouraging you ladies are, but we also hold each other accountable. The female energy is real and divineeee

agreed!! humour is 100% disarming! it can add charm and attraction to a guy who, if he wasn't easy to talk to and funny, wouldn't otherwise clock on our radar.

yassss!!! these posts make me so happy! right there with you; felt all the elated/sad/disappointed feelings you're describing. try not to be tough on yourself. the old version of yourself that tolerated bs is waking up to this new version where you won't suffer fools anymore. certainly something worth celebrating!!

honestly just super happy that you're young and yet found this sub at your age! i wish i had - i wish ALL women had access to this kind of information and reawakening. i don't have solid advice because im rather new here, but i always tell my younger friends that they should never do anything they are not comfortable with. life is long, and when one door closes another will always open. if you find that you have a pattern of behaviour where you end up with a LVM or NVM, really do the inner work …

girl this is the sign to let that man goooo. i read somewhere (obvs in this subreddit) that men will rarely initiate the breakup. why would they? they get so much more from us and have more to lose when we bounce. you got this!
