Whether it's sexism, racism, bigotry or whatever you need to call it out when you see it or it will keep happening!

I completely agree. That's why I have said in other comments if you are in this situation consider if you are being condescending or dealing with an asshole.

Like I said if you are concerned ask yourself are you being condescending or are they just an asshole? You can do everything right and still have to deal with shit people.

Think about when you go see a dr you know they know more about this topic which is why you have gone to see them but think about the difference between a dr with shit bedside manner and good beside manner. I don't think only men can be condescending but it comes as a response to the 2014 essay "Men Explain Things to Me" but even the author of the essay doesn't like the gendered term but the thing is English is naturally ever evolving language and will change in ways we don't all like. You might …

Yes you could definitely call that "femsplaing" in the exact same way women say they get "mansplained" about topics they already know. You are unfortunate enough to deal with a cunt of a person and that sucks but you did the right thing calling them out. According to google manspreading "is the practice whereby a man, especially one travelling on public transport, adopts a sitting position with his legs wide apart, in such a way as to encroach on an adjacent seat or seats." There is a difference…

The issue is assuming they don't know as much as you and being condescending to them. Like I said you do you but this literally isn't a problem for me anymore and it's actually been really beneficial to both my career and social life.

And here I was thinking it only refers to someone when they are being condescending to someone... If people are saying that everything you say comes across as mansplaining maybe stop and think about how you express your ideas. After talking to my wife and friends who identify as women and thinking about how I say things for me it went from frustration to literally a non issue. Sure the term mainsplain can be used in a hurtful way but if you talk to someone AS IF they know at least as much as you…

It's the exact same reason why so many men's rights activists are jaded towards women and that's because they usually start getting involved after they get hurt. It's sad how much toxicity in both groups.

While men get murdered more than women I think you're more likely to get murdered because of racism than misandry. Misandry sucks but at least it won't be the reason you get shot at a traffic stop or for example have the government infect you with syphilis just to see what would happen (The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male 1932-1972). Men have issues that only men have, women have issues only women have, people of certain races, face challenges that other races don't and to…

I still like the democrats more than the Republican despite disliking them both. When 100 Republicans voted not to fund FEMA then blame the democrats for there not being enough funding that sort of bullshit pisses me off more. If the Republicans actually went off policy making rather than fear mongering and being in a cult it might be a slighter harder choice.

"Until the feminists who actually stand for equality are able to address misandry in their own community, this rivalry between men's rights and women's rights isn't going to stop." 100% agree but I also want to point out the misogyny in men's rights groups also contributes to the rivalry and from the feminists / non-male identifying people I spoken to the main reason they don't support men's rights activists. Sorry for the late reply I was at work. I support the idea of paternity testing at birth as an opt out thing but considering how many people wouldn't even take the vaccines because it's their DNA or not want to be tracked, or having DNA in a data base. People wouldn't even do it to stop a global plague they're not going to do it to make some men more comfortable. 100% paternity leave currently only 63% of countries offer it. Swap the genders in your comment and you sound exactly like the people you are describing with such hatred. It's just too sides of the same coin but restricting your empathy, compassion, and benevolence does nothing but breed hatred, resentment and drives people away that would be allies. I have conceived far more men and especially women to support men's rights through compassion than I ever did with hate why would they help someone that despises them? True feminism is about equality but there are definitely people that have been hurt by men and use the name to hurt men. True mens rights is about equality but there are definitely men that have been hurt by women and use the men's rights movement and ideology to hurt women. It's almost as if people can be shit regardless of what genitals/chromosomes/gender identity they have. I agree. I think it's absolutely horrible but at the same time I think it's similar to how a lot of men make rape jokes and so on. I don't think either is acceptable but that just brings me back to the fact that we have got to work together rather than push each other down. Blaming each other doesn't do anything other than cause resentment but supporting each other can cause true active change.

Women are also lonely. Men are dying of thirst in a desert women are dying of thirst in a poisonous swamp. Both need water but neither can drink. My understanding these are they feel that they're loneliness isn't taken seriously because the loneliness is different to our loneliness. Once again comes down to humans being shipped to each other who are in different circumstances men need to support women for women to support men and vice versa. It's our lack of communication team

I'm with you here. Sadly there is is a lot of misogyny in men's rights communities. It's exactly the same as why some supposed feminist don't trust men because they have been hurt in the past. Men and Women are in this together because supporting men's rights and women's rights ultimately benefit everyone. As corny and shit as It sounds we need to lift up rather than put down which can be hard for a lot of people.

Women do get harassed, Men also get harassed but in the last 12 months 63% of women in the US and 61% in the UK have experienced some sort of harassment according to abc.net.au, assets.publishing.service.gov. uk , metro-magazine.com , abs.gov.au Spreading misandry is bad but harassment is also real.

You can be a feminist as well as a mens rights advocate they are not exclusionary terms. We should be working together to support each other not drag each other down. Men and women might have different issues but just because they're different, doesn't mean either is invalid. I know plenty of women who now support men's rights because I simply listened and showed empathy for their own issues.

Morning after pill isn't 100% effective and the period of time Texas gives is less than the amount of time most people even realise they are pregnant. If a male is raped all they can do is seek the police and therapy however if a girl is raped she may have to carry the baby inside her for 9 months and regardless if the baby is healthy or not any birth is a life threatening and traumatic event.

Other women? I am a man haha The USA isn't a democracy it's a democratic Republic hence the ridiculous electoral college. Women have had to listen to men for all of history or did you forget how women were treated in the 70s? The issues are places such as Texas were rape, incest, unviable fetus, or even the age if the girl is not a reasonable excuse for the abortion. The individuals life must be at risk which is why the article I posted is relevant. Bodily autonomy and parenthood or two different things. Yes they are related but not the same. RvW happened in 1973 but only caused abortion to be legal as of 1992. I was only born in 1992 and no offence men's rights hasn't been a priority the entire time however for the last 10 years I have been fighting for men's right and gaining the support of women across two countries it's not much but it's start.

Feminism is about equality but of course there are some ass holes that claim they are feminist but just hate men. Comparing white nationalism and feminism shows either a misunderstanding of the terms or a deep-seated resentment of the opposite sex. We need to support men, women and everyone in between because all have issues without furthering hate and causing more problems for each other.
