She should be praised for this one thing yes. But she should also be demonised for the huge jump in homelessness and unemployment that is sweeping the UK because of their terrible austerity regime that systematically hits the young and disabled. Which as usual due to the lack of support available for them hits men the hardest.

I don't have an issue with this. I don't know the laws specifically but if I were a live in landlord I would prefer to have a male tennant purely for self preservation based on any potential accusations, accidental misinterpretation etc. It's their place and if an old lady feels more comfortable with having a female tennant I don't see an issue so long as that's a two way street.

It's not about that for the students i don't think though. It would have more to do with the fact that a University Rector is meant to be the position held by the highest academic official. I don't think Milo would suit that role.

Honestly i don't think Milo is deserving of the role of University rector. I'm very much in the best person for the job camp and Milo in my opinion wouldn't be the best person to be labelled as a universities highest academic official. I'm sure he would be able to bring a lot in other areas but not that one.

It's pretty disgraceful that tax payers are paying out for that woman's crime. I get it that there were shortfalls in the council and they should be made an example of for that but if the initial criminal is known they should be paying restitution for what they have done.

Depends who they are I think. If they are privately funded then they can give the money to whoever they like so long as they aren't breaking any laws. If however there's a law that would prevent this being set up for men then that same law should be applied here. And if they are government funded then personally I don't think it's right.

Reading the article it says that they were part of a group threatening to kill people including children and pulled a gun out on a black driver threatening them and throwing racial slurs. Male or female makes no difference to me especially when it's something like this. People that threaten other people based on the colour of their skin, including children should be left to rot.

Initially I was taken in by the video as well. I showed the original video release to my wife and we both agreed that the guys in the van deserved everything they got if what it said they had done was true. That's the point mate. According to this they all knew each other. According to witnesses they were watched rehearsing (including the guys in the van) a few times before the final take. The assault towards the woman didn't take place. The entire thing was apparently staged. The company that made the video were asking for publishing fees of between £150 and £400 according to The Guardian.

Outside the US looking in the only sexism I saw during this whole thing was a load of women openly saying that they were voting for Clinton because she is a woman. I didn't hear or see anyone saying that they were voting for Trump because he was a man. But feel free to correct me.
