20 years old, went to a technical school after high and got my associates in a good blue/white collar career. I work at a Chemical Plant now making 60k a year. To be honest, trades are where it's at. I have no debt and make a killing wage, and this plant is on the low end of the pay scale compared to oil refineries.

Thanks for posting this. I'm at a local community college so I'm not experiencing the whole college/partying scene. I have to travel to near by colleges to experience it but it costs money. I've been trying to save, but since you broke down that money is for experiences rather than physical objects its made me not so uptight about spending on trips.

Ritalin and any other ADHD medicine definitely helps if you have it. When I don't take it, I forget and am less productive. Last semester I had a 2.25GPA, this semester while on it I have a 3.35GPA. I just have that nasty feeling that I'm dependent on it. Like some kind of meth head. But the quality of life without it sucks. If anyone feels the same, can you give me your insight on your views?

I'm so glad I'm swallowing the pill at 18. You guys are saving my 20's and 30's. I had a few girlfriends in high school and typical shitty friends that only wanted to drink. Girlfriends took up most of my time and I wasn't fond of drink due to my exercise regime. Since then I've dropped all of them and start focusing solely on myself (grades, working out, diet, philosophy, etc.). So thank you guys.
