How are people in general in Portland?

Great advice. "I only surround myself with people who can do the impossible." -Elizabeth Arden

Call him right now and ask him what's up. If he's your friend, you can be open with him. If not, move on.

Noobs need strategy and logistical tactics to employ in order to test the field. Naturalness is only going to get us blown the fuck out if we are not in state of both confidence and congurence + knowing how to handle things if they go south. Sometimes the best strategy is to just dive right in. Is there a chance you'll get burned? Hell, yes, but learning to recover after a defeat is pretty damn important.

I bet a lot of women would love to have this problem. May I suggest 'dressing down'? Just dress really badly, get fake glasses if you don't already wear glasses, go out and make a fun costume that will give guys a totally different impression.

Self-deprecating is mostly useful in small amounts to show that you aren't overly cocky. Keep it but be more strategic with it.

Don't make such a big fuss of your appearance. There is more to you than that. A book is more than its cover. This is thousand times more true for a person. Next time, let your personality come out to play.

It's important to first have a serious desire to get somewhere in life. Not everyone has it.

I find social activities really enjoyable perhaps 20% of the time. You probably just struggle with being yourself around people, then. If you find that you're having a bad time with you're with people while said people are having a fine time, you're bottling yourself up and not letting your true personalty out to breathe. Of course that's not enjoyable. It's a matter of learning to be yourself around people because wearing masks is treading water.

It's best to not really focus on the numbers because they fluctuate easily and so will your mood because of it. Focus on putting forward a consistent effort daily. Be process-driven instead of outcome-driven. If you want any recommendations for turning things around, send me a pm. Good luck!

Decide where you are going in life. Go there.

I was thinking more along the lines of working out every day, cutting out any 'processed foods' totally and looking into stuff like Paleo eating, throwing your TV out the window and generally spending as little time on your ass as is humanly possible. But then, I'm the type of guy who pays little attention to what a woman might be wearing(less is usually better, though) and is always looking to see how shapely their legs/hips/bum are which is often a pretty good indicator of their overall health…

Unfortunately, most younger men aren't interested in a woman my age, so essentially, my prospects are zero. I don't think it's as simple as that. I see women your age who are easily more physically attractive than their counterparts from time to time. The old saying 'Men age like wine, women like milk' doesn't really fit what I'm seeing out there. However, a woman looking good as she ages is contingent on her actually taking care of her body. And this is apparently quite a rare thing. And I'm no…

Well, women are basically looking for someone who appears to be strong. It might seem fucked up to you, but it's apparently a pretty useful survival trait for them. If you come across as strong and confident, women should be eating that up. That's something you have to work toward. Everyone has their problems and you just have to deal with it and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Definitely this but if she was excessively attractive it's totally possible that I'd be unable to resist.

You still have some juice left in you to do something incredible. It's just a matter of being uncompromising with your health because being unhealthy will slay any energy you might have and, as someone here put it, 100% is easy and 99% is a deathtrap. It's no joke. If I remember right, Ray Kroc was in his 50s when he bought McDonald's from the original owners. Previous to that, he sold milkshake machines to support his family. Don't forget that you have a few edges over young people and one impo…

But on the unconscious level, touch seems to impart a subliminal sense of caring and connection. That's not necessarily all there is to it. Women dig guys who are brave. Touching a stranger is kind of a brave thing to do because you never know how they will react. They like guys who aren't shy yet know their limits as opposed to just full-out grabbing a random woman. Though I'm sure some women do like that.

It's all just semantics, but he was probably trying to say that any given person is more than the sum of their parts. You are more than how many chicks you banged last week. You are more than how well you did on that test. Accomplishment may be a part of who you are, but it's just a part. Don't get the wrong idea - accomplishments are important. Pretty much everyone has a drive to accomplish things and if you ignore that, you are basically lying to yourself. Just don't think that if you fail to …
