The equal pay act requires the exact same pay for substantially the same job. So you are correct in that the overall average could vary - no problem there. However, in my experience with the DEI / ESG programs at companies they don't honor the equal pay act. They have affirmative action programs that result in Title VII violations that in turn are equal pay act violations. This is especially true in companies without formal pay grades.

That isn't how Title VII and the equal pay act works. Exact pay for the exact same job. Title VII has to go thru EEOC and has a ~180 day time limit - so they can hide it and get away with it. Equal Pay Act allows you to go directly to court and the statute of limitations extends with every pay check. Lawyer here. The speedy trial right under the US constitution really boils down to the govt can take as long as they want until you raise the issue and the time has taken so long that it is prejudicial against your case - witnesses dying / forgetting, evidence degrading, etc. It is a rather high standard to meet. The father has no rights until the child is born and he knows it is born. In almost all states the mother can hide the pregnancy, have the child, give it up for adoption without notifying the father, and if he hasn't posted to the putative father registry his parental rights will terminate automatically after 2-3 years. I don't think it is greater effect but the point I think is trying to be made here is that the woman can choose not to be a parent after the child is born (aka adoption) without the mans consent or knowledge. Because we see ejaculation as a voluntary act and ignore the woman's ability to not have sex during her ovulation time frame. Only when the two occur in sync can a pregnancy occur but we expect the man to control his body and take the risk but not the woman. As shown by statistics, men have a (biological?) preference for younger women. It isn't about becoming ugly, it is about the glow of youth fading and as it does the women fall down the preference curve. Well I'm a licensed attorney too and I've seen it time and time again. Both in the Family Law course in law school and in real life. The problem is that you can't trust family law. That branch of law has repeatedly made up its own new rules and ignored centuries of property law and decades of contract law. In most states Family court judges have tons of power and usually 'keep' your case for the life of the dispute (a long time for child custody). So given the very unfair and uncertain nature of family court, I can see why people would want to RUN as far away as possible.

I think you are referring to Brady evidence - as in Brady v. Maryland. That rule applies to the prosecutor and not to the police. As far as I know, that is only required prior to trial and not prior to a plea bargain.
