I have fairly strong feelings about this kind of issue because I worked at a place where a woman was very unashamedly sleeping her way through promotions. An office position was even created for her when there was no other promotion left to give her, a completely unnecessary position that came with a pay increase with the only added responsibility of "you're now in charge of this other portion of office workers". It was terrible. She was already unqualified for the office position she had before…

Hmm, as a man, I believe less men who say they want a strong woman who will etcetera, etcetera, actually mean it. Sure, lots of men actually do, myself included, but many more really don't. A lot of men think they want a woman who has traits much more similar to men -- it's why so many fictitious female characters are essentially just men with softer features -- but when they actually meet a woman like that, many dismiss them as "dike", "bitch", maybe even "stuck-up", so on. A lot of things. Mos…

this thread smacks of some incel shit You see his flair? "Black licorice pill". That is incel. Before the sub was banned, that is what incel's used to identify their unique brand of "pill".

Sounds to me like she's trying to entice you to be aggressively Dominant and just take her. You say "hard no", but what is that? Like everyone else is saying, establish safe words with your wife. A good one is the "green, yellow, red" system. Red is obviously the hard stop: it ends as soon as either of you say red. Yellow is the slow down, I'm still enjoying things, but this is near the limit. And yeah, maybe she is fucking with you. Teasing can be fun, tease her back. That's a lot of fun when y…

Agreed. He isn't doing himself any favors by pretending his "side-girl" is anything but that - I don't understand why he would even want to - and this is almost guaranteed to explode very badly in his face at his current rate.

Um, just tossing in my two cents, but I don't think he's trolling you at all. I think he's legitimately asking your advice. I also agree with your initial comment, I don't think OP would take responsibility for his actions if he were to get caught today. That said, if I was OP and I could also acknowledge my "oneitis" in this other girl - which I just chalk up to she's new and he's into the novelty of it rather than the girl herself - I'd probably also ask what you suggestion to "fixing" that wo…

The miscarriage is definitely a huge emotionally traumatic event in a woman's life. It sounds like it happened shortly after you "red-pilled" (since you say you started last month and the miscarriage happened a few weeks ago). Look at things from her perspective. I don't know how dramatic your personal change has been, you do say that you overdid "the jerk". So to her, her husband of 4 years suddenly changes drastically and she has a miscarriage. She's probably finding it especially difficult to…

Oh! You think I mean I'm thinking of a condensed message of RP for me, don't you! Ah, well, thank you for your input, my dude, I appreciate that. Actually no, I'm in a good place with myself (I am actually not even red pill, either), I actually was thinking of the future of RP entirely. That's what I was saying about how I feel the RP itself has become unfocused.

Oh, I see, that is your "red pill". Okay. I was thrown off by the end because I don't write field reports (I thought you might have accidentally replied to the wrong person, that your comment was meant for a specific person instead of a general statement to all of red pill). It's a conundrum, isn't it? Red pill isn't so new anymore that it can easily re-focus its message, but it also isn't so old that it's current.. "platform"(?) is totally concrete and established. But anyway, I think that's just ONE of the big reasons for the grumbling about bad content. Not the only. Of course it still needs to be accessible, I mean, that's the whole point, that ALL men should be able to ascribe to red pill. I don't think splintering is necessarily a bad thing, not at all. Well, it's been my experience that I think I've been treated fairly by the mods. If you stay on topic and discuss things through the scope of red pill, there really isn't any reason to be banned. It is inevitable that any "politicized" forum will have people of the opposing viewpoint infiltrate. That cannot be stopped. The issue, in my opinion, isn't about how to prevent that from happening, but should be how to confront them when it DOES happen. Because it will, 100% it will happen. And yes, I know that Red Pill isn't inherently political, I used the word "politicized" just to mean that, like politically-charged mediums, Red Pill is a strong stance on one side of a spectrum and a Red Pi…

I think there is room for different styles, but surely TRP is about leading ALL men (who want to learn) to a better life, no matter where they start from? Yeah, definitely. Most members here all admit to a blue-pill past. I personally think that RP needs a more focusedddd, ah, ethos. RP has stood by it's distance from that, trying to be more "all-encompassing" of all politics, morals, creeds, etc., which worked out fine when RP was still new. But it's gotten so much bigger now that having SO MAN…

Interesting. I would have thought that the subreddit that began as the endorsement sub for the Republican candidate for the office of the POTUS that would eventually become the elected POTUS would have gotten big naturally, because, you know, he's the President of the United States. That's awesome about Daredevil. I haven't seen either Star Wars 7 or more than just a couple episodes of DD, but that sounds like really good writing for DD. I am bothered by standard hero stories, where after the character has worked their way up from, like, gang members and ne'er-do-wells to super villains and meticulously orchestrated terrorist organizations, those low-level thugs never provide any threat at all to the character ever again. A desperate, scared, sick junkie with a gun can kill…

I think a lot of it still comes from media. Every story on t.v. or movies or books shows near-perfect couples or flat-out dysfunctional relationships; perfect job, w/ good boss, friendly co-workers, versus Hell Inc., General Manager Beelzebub, and incompetent, dick-sucking demon lackey's. I get why, because in t.v. or movies, literally every second counts and it's difficult to portray accurate human relationships that involve disagreements and minor conflicts w/o the audience thinking it's indic…

Solid. I would say there's a limit to that, in the sense that the opposite extreme isn't any better than the first. Going for perfection to going for literally anything, that's obviously also bad. And in some circumstances, waiting to get what you know you are really looking for is good, too. So basically, just like anything else, incorporate OP's advice into your life, but don't live and die by it.

Is she wrong? Are you really trying to say that men don't take advantage of women with money? Or that men don't sometimes do the things that OP listed as examples of terrible women's behaviour? You clearly have thoughts about this, so rather than just saying that she's so far off base, explain why and how, dude.

So dumb when the only counter-arguments are, "well, you're obviously just an ugly women." No thought whatsoever. When I was deep in my drug habit, I stole from and took advantage of my girlfriend.. I feel like there's been a dramatic shift in the Red Pill in the last, oh, probably two years, where the member base is much more jaded than it used to be. Men here forget that love can actually exist between a man and woman. Like the argument from an above comment that all men will choose a hot chick…

I agree with you, it doesn't make sense. Turning him away instead of inviting him is totally counter-intuitive to "nailing him down", if that is what she wanted... Honestly, I'm skeptical, because it seems too much like he's writing specific examples of being treated like a friend-zoned beta... while at the same time she's trying to bag him as her own. But those two concepts are mutually-exclusive.
/r/TheRedPill05/05/17 04:05 AM
1

Why did she not invite you inside? If she's trying to nail you down, she isn't going to "friend-zone" you. I'd think that she'd want to invite you in and do all she could to keep you, since at that point playing hard-to-get while having a fuck-buddy relationship is just going to push you away.
/r/TheRedPill05/05/17 04:00 AM
2

Those are definite red flags, but it doesn't really prove anything. I think anyone would agree that a girlfriend doing all or most of those things is not good. Even doing just a few of those examples, any of them, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that'd say it's nothing to worry about.

See, I read your first comment like you were saying that the attempt to "...intellectualize, moralize, and virtue signal[?]..." is a bad thing. Not that you were necessarily saying that people should totally, 100%, embrace their lower, primal instincts, but that we shouldn't try to objectively rationalize those instincts at all in the first place. Less-attractive people have to work harder for better sex. That's what I think.
/r/TheRedPill07/04/17 08:06 AM

Good post. Personally I don't have a problem with cuckoldry, I look at it like it's a couple's choice that doesn't affect me, so whatever. But I've never looked at it the way you described before. What do you think of the "hotwife" kink, which is similar to cuckolding, but puts dominance on the man instead (man order woman to expose herself, service others, etc.)? Just out of curiosity.

It really weakens OP's position by calling her a slut with zero follow-up... You said he "already" said that, which means he says it before. So the timeline is, according to you, that he wrote a comment in his thread explaining that she lied about being a virgin, AND THEN - afterwards -created the thread. And THEN you say that anyone else has the delusional self-righteousness. Solipsism, sky-rocketing.
/r/TheRedPill09/02/17 11:52 PM

...nothing in the OP post instated she was a slut. He already said she pretended to be a virgin when she wasn't (she went under the knife) What the fuck, no he didn't. How are you going to make such a bald-faced lie when the truth is literally just above your comment for everyone to see and then follow it up with a condescending, "try to keep up" comment? Jesus Christ, this thread takes solipsism to completely new levels.

It's quite shocking to see the divide this thread has created. And God help you if you point out that OP provided literally zero information about the woman to the people saying she's lazy, that she doesn't deserve him, that she's a carousel-riding slut. ZERO. It really weakens OP's position by calling her a slut with zero follow-up as to why, except for a very vague after-thought put into an edit that simply states "ugly stuff". It makes me think that it wasn't nearly that bad, and OP isn't saying what because he knows it.

I agree with u/whiteknight49 about this. He broke it off to play the field. Pretty obvious. OP even said it was sudden. Of course marrying someone when you have doubts is a terrible thing. But so is suddenly calling off a wedding after five years of engagement. Yeah, I agree. It's like when kissless virgins finally get a gf and suddenly have confidence to talk to and date other girls. They dump the one they finally first kissed and fucked. The problem with reevaluating past events in a person's life is the same problem that people have when they first evaluate the event as it happens: the present situational bias. Yeah, it's not hard, just don't lie... sexual history isn't a big deal. Most men don't expect women over 20 to be virgins. I wonder how much this story would be different if the woman had just been honest about herself. Yeah, the man might have said, "you're not a virgin? Gtfo," but honestly a man that can't accept the fact that women have premarital sex is pretty fucking immature anyway.

And yet they never ever get banned from anything for it. I know, it must be so easy for them. As a boy, we're told to always conduct ourselves accordingly, be polite, that stuff like picking our noses and farting in public is disgusting and "un-gentlemanly-like", and of course these rules don't apply to women and it never prevents them from getting what they want. That makes much more sense, that the "turn around" comment not be used as an opener. Friends "break-up", though. They still would lose you as a friend if they act shitty, or really for a lot of reasons that romantic/sexual partners would break up (obv excluding sexual reasons or reasons you have in your response). In Red Pill, "plate" basically means "fuck buddy", or to a lesser degree, "friends with benefits". I think the origin of the word itself comes from "spinning plates", the sideshow attraction of plates being spun atop long, thin poles. In RP, the idea is you fuck one girl and give her attention (spin her plate), then move to another, fuck her and give attention (spin), move to another, (spin), and back to the first girl (spin, spin, spin). Are you looking into Red Pill because you're thinking of …

Okay, I get that. I thought from your first reply, you were saying that the second type of girl I described was "innocent and naive". And then the other part of it is just about how long they've been together. 2 months isn't long enough that either person should be drastically changing themselves for the other person yet, you know? And vacationing with friends out of country is an uncommon opportunity, it would suck to miss out on that just because a person started a new relationship just 2 mont…

Faithful, commitment, integrity = innocent and naive? And I don't think anyone is going to consider a girl they've been dating for 2 months to be their "significant other"...

Yes, I will absolutely converse more with you, if you'd like. Excellent. Red Pill shouldn't be accepted as hard dogma. Tailoring your life to the sidebar and then calling yourself an alpha would be completely imbecilic, and that action would be a total oxymoron. Take what you want, what helps you, and disregard the rest.

All of this, right here. OP's mistake was setting such a hard-line boundary so early in the attempt of seeming "big", even - especially - knowing it would come back later to test him. If he really likes this girl, he is going to have to take a lesson in humility by disregarding previous boundary. Which isn't likely. So he's obviously going to dump her, a girl that he had repeatedly said that he trusts even if she goes on this vacation, just because he can't handle it. Yeah, she's testing him, fo…

You've heard "the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem", I'm sure... So, what are your specific hang-ups as far as "giving (too many) fucks"? There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to becoming IDGAF, you won't be able to train your body and mind to stop caring about things until you can understand why you care about certain things that you'd like not to give as many shits about.

Those two examples are on completely different levels. Murder is unquestionably wrong, and by your logic, so is visiting a foreign country with friends and partying: unquestionably wrong; so much so that it doesn't even need to be addressed how immoral it is. Because anyone should inherently know already that it is a wrong thing to do. You say boundaries that were set "long ago", but that isn't really the case as it's only been months. That's really a trivial detail, though, what I question is boundaries set in the beginning vs boundaries and comfort zones as they exist after time as an exclusive couple. Obviously when two people date exclusively for longer and longer periods of time, their comfort zones change (usually expand), and so boundaries would/should also change, no? Edit: this is less about OP and his specific situat…

It isn't a surprising question, though, is it? Your answer is plenty fair. Something I think RP's sometimes take too far is "frame". It doesn't mean having to lose your own frame necessarily just to help someone else out - " you " in the general meaning, not personal. That was why I asked.

Those statements are both borderline hostile - aggressive. "What, you forgot how to wash dishes" is clearly rude and recriminating, and the second statement carries the implication of a threat. "This NEEDS to be done," otherwise there will be consequences. How do you not see that? Assertiveness can be rude, if it needs to be, but an assertive person is not going to immediately be rude in a situation where he/she doesn't try other avenues of assertiveness first. I agree with you that OP makes it sound like assertiveness is far less known that it actually is - I think many people understand assertiveness much more than he seems to claim - but for people only just learning to be assertive, there usually is a problem to over-compensate and become aggressive, trying too hard to not be passive. Out of curiosity, would you offer different examples of passive, aggressive, or assertive responses if the person cutting was a man? After several arrests and protests men finally won their basic human right to be ‘TOPLESS’ in public in 1936. As a whole, the BDSM community follows the 80/20 rule just like the rest of society. 80% of Men getting cucked and pegged, while 20% of men (if even) actually get any real action. As a "community", its fucking cancer tho. I feel like that ratio might be like what the OP was saying about city-to-city basis's (bas-ese?). I find that the easiest way to explain that to guys that have just recently made that mistake - the "confess fucking everything and send her running and wonder why" - to simply imagine the roles reversed. You're intrigued by a girl, still getting to know her, still in that "flirtationship" phase, and then suddenly she tells you how fucking in love with you she is. I'm in a five year relationship and the sex we had two nights ago was wholly different than anything else we'd ever done. We even talked about that the day after, how amazing it is that even after five years together we can still have new sexual experiences. I wouldn't consider this specific rp-theory, tbh. It's a question of sex before marriage. There was a recent thread here that addressed sexual compatibility (more-or-less, the OP didn't call it that). I maintain that sex before marriage is important to find out if a couple is sexually compatible. Sex is communication. If a couple is incompatible sexually, it's a communication that they likely are not right for each other. How far can anyone's love for another go without sex? Men and women can lo…

I think sexual-compatibility is a real thing. If doing what it takes to get the woman to orgasm isn't pleasurable for the man, then both are probably better off finding different partners altogether. I'm only addressing the, "Sometimes making them cum can fuck sex up for you" point in this comment, so I'm not trying to say that you're wrong because of this one thing, of course.

I was actually thinking about it like the commentator was saying, "she's a damn 16 year old girl, you shouldn't have trusted her word because she's a fucking teenager." At the same time, though, I recognized that it could be interpreted different ways, which is why I asked for context.
/r/TheRedPill12/02/16 08:12 PM

What's the context of that comment? Or is that the whole comment someone left? I can infer what I think it means, but before I commit to anything I'd like to know if there was any more to it.

Dude, seriously? So many comments are begging the OP to push to prosecute her, and that she and OP both are terrible people, totally vilifying her, on and on, etc etc. How can you even try to claim only 1% blame the step-daughter?

What would/should an RP father do in that situation? (Also, less an issue, but calling the OP of that blue pill? Come on guys, "blue pill" isn't just a catch-all for men that fuck up or that you just don't like.)

Calling yourself unique isn't the same as being unique. When I went to high school, the store Hot Topic sold a shirt that loudly proclaimed, "You laugh at me for being different. I laugh at you for being all the same." I feel I need to reiterate this. This shirt was sold in a store called Hot Topic. The store name specifically means, "this shit is what's popular!" It's not vogue to be different, it's just vogue to say you are.

but we're supposed to believe that women have ZERO interest in those types of men. Yup. According to who? Feminists? When do feminists, or anyone else if that isn't your answer, say that women have zero interest in being dominated by men in a bdsm relationship?

One thing to keep in mind is that books like 50 Shades, The Sheik, etc. is that they are fantasies. Analogously, men don't necessarily want the same type of sexual intercourse, or women, that they enjoy watching in porn. Who would want to read a book about a well-adjusted, newly-wed couple with no conflict? And yet, for anyone looking for a long-term relationship, who doesn't want a happy marriage with no instability? good sack of tits. O.O

I agree with a lot of what you said, especially how he set up the compliment about her eyes. Prefacing it with, "you're going to think this is [bad thing]" really shows a lack of confidence. If you've got a compliment for a girl and want to let her know, then just let her fucking know! Women are hardly taught that. Isn't that one of the big RP complaints, that women are constantly vilifying men, and young boys and girls are being raised to believe that men are horrible animals, and so on? I think that can go either way, though. On one hand, yes, everything you said. On the other, though, you can also get caught up in worrying about looking like a fool in front of your friend when you get denial after denial. So for the OP, I'd say to only try bringing your wingman if you know you've got a solid enough friendship that you won't worry about looking like an idiot and potentially giving them free stories at your expense.

You hear about guys struggling to find girls when they're single, and then those same guys having to deny girls advances when they're in a relationship, right? The reason for that is because when a guy isn't trying to get sex from a girl, and he's just casually interacting with her without ulterior motives, he's relaxed, confident, secure... That makes women much more interested than with the man desperate to get laid. Because they can see the desperation on single men with ulterior motives. Eve…

I think the phrases like "we need to talk", "can I ask you something", etc. are used to announce that it's meant to be a serious conversation. That the person who wants to talk/ask a question has been thinking of this specific thing long enough that they want an equally thought-out response to their thought-out question. Men and women both use those phrases. So I think it's more than to just make someone squirm (it can be, too, but you can't judge everything that follows "we need to talk" the sa…

I'm not a blue pill, but I don't even agree with his comment. A large portion of what he says is based on how she blows up over what equates to 0.6% of their relationship, but I really don't think that's fair. OP's gf asks him what's been going on (fair question, he made a pretty radical 180 turn in his behaviour) and he doesn't tell her the truth. You got secretive and lied about what was going on by telling her you've just been busy when she asked. It's been my experience working in an office that the male co-workers make more excuses and are generally more lazy, half-assing their work than the female workers. At my current place of work, there is just about a perfect 50/50 balance of male and female workers, and it's been my impression that the women work harder because they know they have to do more to prove themselves as competent workers than the males do - especially since the GM, who was recently "let go" after 8 or 9+ years, was ver…

I have a couple questions. The first is whether or not it's an RP-wide accepted belief that there are only three ways to increase your social value (1. money, 2. physique, 3. social status), or is that just your own belief, or is it just the "top 3" ways, as in most basic, general ways? Because it seems to me like that would be very limiting to a man's mental state if he's trying to "up his game".
