45-55 To be fair, male interest in your listed bracket (45-55) is fraction of what women receive in their prime dating years (20-3x). So that alone may be great difference maker

Yeah, sure buddy. Liberal scholars have been making it up for last 30 years as some sort of a prank. https://news.ubc.ca/2012/01/23/monogamy-reduces-major-social-problems-of-polygamist-cultures/ (that was sarcasm, by the way. Apparently I have to state it these days)

You don’t earn rights, they are called human rights for a reason And that reason is ... wealth & stability of the human civilization since 1950ish, which lead to universally accepted respect of fellow humans, codified in set of laws called human rights. Remove the stability or wealth and watch the "human rights" disappear quicker than snow in summer. And I kid you not - society with a lot of lonely men without perspective is anything but stable. Just look at the middle east, or human history in …

is totally reasonable and not at all unrealistic and, sadly, empirical evidence proves them right. There's always a man to suck up to these women. Until the male half of the population gets back some dignity, I fear the dating market will remain the hellhole it is now

I think this age definitely proved that while women are more relationships-oriented in general, men are way more romance-oriented then women will ever be.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:12 PM

I do see men becoming less keen on having relationships, but I think that’s a good thing. If you think this is a good idea, you have been a very bad student of history. Like, you're in for a surprise.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 09:27 PM
1

Are you surprised? Social contract for men was broken beyong f*ing oblivion these past 25 years. Same as everyone - why should they continue to support society that doesn't benefit them? Women stopped 70 years ago. It feels like it's men's turn.

Now this is a good info here since you can compare both: How unhinged? And does the unhingeness differ between the sexes in any way?

Blah blah "men don't put effort" argument. Men did not change completely within one generation. So if you, statistically: 1. had previous generation of men who put average/usual effort into relationships, and absolute majority of them formed families have a generation of men that does similar or same effort, and you suddenly have SIGNIFICANT portion of men's population not forming families ... then no, sorry, it's not fault of "men putting any effort". Something else changed, and you know very w…

Tinder, OKcupid etc data show that is still orders of magnitue higher than what men get. But not endless, true. Anyway, I would be definitely more OK with overwhelming attention than no attention at all. That's not even an argument. Imagine the same situation, but in a non-sexual context... Job offers, for example? Getting harassed by headhunters would be annoying, sure. But still better than the alternative.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 07:36 PM
1

Sigh. This is nitpicking at best. It's not like men demand only ONS - quite the opposite, actually. Some sure do, but then again, some % will always be morons, statistically speaking. Generally speaking, the advantage in having plentiful options is certainly worth the disadvantage in today's world
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 07:17 PM

It is, however, a privilege to have a steady supply of potential partners and minimize the chance of involuntary loneliness in life, is it not?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 10:49 AM
1

Makes me laugh. Two different wordings, same meaning if we want to get to core of it. But the bottom line is - if the OP wrote "the attention is overwhelming", I'd have to agree because yes, it's likely true. But pretending that the attention is not a privilege/advantage, and acting like it's somehow insulting to call it that? Well, that's just where the moral high horse falls to the ground
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 06:33 PM

You're way too young - 18 and likely skinny AF at 6'4 unless you're naturally buff or go to gym. Women do prefer older guys and stronger builds. But yeah in men it's always personality>>>looks. Women have it exactly opposite, unless the personality is really really bad
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 02:59 PM

What can Mr Average give them that they cannot give themselves. Well, how about LACK OF SOCIETAL COLLAPSE that will inevitably come if demography collapses to a degree where senior care, let alone healthcare will be completely impossible? Sort of return to Eskimo retirement plans? Cause you know, if one woman does that, no big deal. If ALL women do that ... what a beautiful prisoner's dilemma, right?

Well, yes. There is a difference between marriage rate and singleness. While singledom is not captured on any reports, I believe it is much more important than marriage rate for these discussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 01:12 AM

Sure they do. The number of female breadwinners/sole earners has been increasing for years That doesn't mean they don't hate it. In the very study you linked, it clearly showed they had higher divorce rate than "standard" couples. "But the divorce rate of couples married in the '90s in which the wife is the breadwinner fell to 4% higher than those in which the husband is the breadwinner, the study showed."

So for you it's normal to have sex with a person who is black out drunk See this is exactly you jumping to extreme examples to justify nonsense laws. I'm not talking about sober weirdo spiking drinks and chasing unconscious drunk women. I am talking about a couple being non-blackout drunk, but still considerably drunk having consensual sex that night. Because that, too, is now legally rape i.e. sex without informed consent which can be prosecuted as such.

Sex with a very drunk person was already rape before metoo (yes, it's rape to have sex with a very very drunk person who can barely walk, even if that person says "yes"). Your post is delusional. Let me illuminate by an example - if you REALLY believe what you wrote above, you must know that your dad raped your mom at least a few times, right? No, it has originated in holywood as backlash against rapy figureheads in the industry. It since devolved into targeting ALL men. It indeed led to extra laws and as I mentioned in my post, it completely missed the purpose - as predatory powerful men have way to protect themselves through wealth or abundance. Predatory non-powerful men have had effective laws against predation in place even before metoo. And non-predatory, non-powerful men (95%) are now facing some ridiculous legislature (informe…

I already suspect for a long time that whole #metoo thing was directed on high-status men of holywood, politics & corporate america (either rich, or powerful, or attractive, or all 3). Now of course research tells us dark triad is abundant with high-profile men, as it directly improves their ability to climb power hierarchy. This is a major problem - if laws that are hand-made against this type of men affect 95% of normal men negatively - and still don't do shit to improve behavior of these high…

"Problem is that theories about society wide trends are often BS." I tend to follow reputable news sources and peer-reviewed papers for reliable statistics. What you seem to describe are your "gut feelings" how things are and should be, which doesn't necessarily reflect reality. Buddy, in here we're discussing society-wide trends, not 1 person experiences. If there's 30% uptick in singleness within barely a decade, that signifies something. Major trends need to be discussed. It was blaming women "entering the workforce" for why wages are so bad now and no one can afford to be "traditional". That's false on many levels. By default, if the feminist push for equality causes women's wages to equal or surpass men's wages, makes it statistically hard for a woman to find a man that makes more than her i.e. can "provide", no? That's just logical. Also, I did mention in my original post that women's push for wage equality was definitely supported by entrepreneur class with u…

Women have always been in the labor market. You keep missing what I'm trying to say. Even in more remote past, women did not generally participate in LABOR (PAID) market. They did work, sure, but 1. not that frequently in salaried jobs 2. rarely outside home in a "full time" 40h weekly manner 3. did not participate in craftsmanships. Again, some did, but not in numbers that would impact economics of the era. Now the question is how long into past you want to go in these arguments. Pre-war? Pre-b…

They have mostly worked at home i.e. not on labor market, but you're partially right, of course: tech/immigration/outsourcing were also major contributors. But the underlying result is the same - all of these caused men's wages to plummet (well plummet... but compared to previous generation their wages definitely got lower) and women that look for traditional setting/provider man have suddenly nearly no prospects.

" not wanting to financially provide " Sister, that ship has sailed three decades ago when feminist power trippers (generously bankrolled by anti-labor capital) decided to dilute wage pool by flooding labor market without thinking about consequences. Expectations were to double family income, reality is that a family now NEEDS two incomes to maintain same living standards. So yeah. Very few men in middle class can now act in provider role. None in working class. Wage stagnation saw to that. Kiss…

I don’t believe a man’s value comes from his net-worth so it’s a moot point if you ask me. But it doesn't matter if you don't believe it, if majority of society believes in it. Remember men are trying to improve their chances in general, i.e. aiming for what is perceived as high value in majority. Again I'm not saying anything bad about volunteering, I'm just explaining why there's such a gap even though it would be a great ground for lonely men to meet women - about that I have no doubt
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:40 AM

I meant that fighting in wars pre-WW1 was usually highly lucrative - of course only if you survived - so men tend to use up the hierarchy ladder after a winning war. The dead men of course did not profit, but then again, they were dead so hardly could express any regrets.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 12:27 PM
1

Sure, all you wrote makes sense morally. But I meant this in specific economic/sociological sense: IF society perceives man's value as his net worth (and it does), THEN statistically speaking, men will minimize their low paid effort i.e. volunteering and maximize their high earning efforts, ie work. That just can't work any other way, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 12:22 PM
2

Yes, something strange happened in holywood after 2000, and since 2010ish it exploded. Each man archetype is either dumb, pitiable, evil or cruel, and every woman is just morally superior at all times. Makes for very bland and predictable storytelling.

The number of involuntarily celibate men has stayed consistent throughout all of human history. Well at least we had decency to let them die in the wars back then, so either they made it big or at least didn't suffer too long ...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 03:19 PM

Well written opinion. And sad truth is, also accurate - there are not many options to achieve any improvement for men in the future. One path is that current discontent will erode societal stability and cause war, either civil or actual (see: france, russia). Another would be indeed wide-range apprenticeship but with that we're getting dangerously close to abandoning mass production and moving on to economics of roman decline / latifundii serfdom.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 02:12 PM

Idk what texts you read, he said either change or let’s part ways As opposed to... what? "Either change, or I will do nothing and suffer in silence to please you"? OP is delusional. First, most of what she wrote is factually incorrect. If we are talking about the top 10% of women Not even that picky, let alone 0.0x%. The mating market cannot grow imbalanced. Women are still looking for long term relationships with men. Well, are they looking for long term relationships? I think men really need to consider what is it that would tempt a woman to give up safety, comfort, and luxury Interesting. If this is really default woman's psyche, it would mean that the survival of human race did rely solely on need for safety/resources until now.
