Wow my original comment got downvoted to hell but your comment is the point I was trying to get at. Denying privilege exists altogether also denies female privilege exists. We have to acknowledge ALL forms of privilege and start putting female privilege checks in these situations as well. Like you said, that race should also include “take a step forward if you have never been a male in divorce court” or whatever else.

Do you not think privilege exists? Sure it might not necessarily be male privilege, but i think acknowledging privilege where it exists is still important. Not everything ever achieved was 100% due to that individual’s effort - a lot of that is driven by circumstance Edit: to the downvoters, I am not a feminist. I am saying we should acknowledge privilege where it exists, INCLUDING female privilege.

I am all for a polygamous society that selects anybody with an IQ of 120 or any other equivalent measure of intelligence to enjoy their pick of mates. Interesting statistics, but what do they mean by "rape" and how did they gather said statistics? Do they mean forced penetration or feminism's definition of later regretting it so calling a previously consensual experience rape (if this is the case, then I've been raped several times before). Have to also remember that female rape male instances are rarely reported.

The sub-headline has a word I had never thought of using to describe Chinese culture - hyper-materialistic. "Materialism" never seemed adequate in describing the culture here. Also, any sources on the statistics cited in the article? Especially the 5,000 divorces/day and 1/3rd of marriages in SH, BJ, and GZ ending in divorce.

What the hell is up with that girl? If it was obviously a drunken consensual sex session, what does she have to gain from claiming you raped her and going through a trial, etc. Can she sue you and it is money that she is after? Have consensual sex > make false rape claim > ??? > profit Did some girl call her a slut for having sex with a guy at a party? And so she is trying to cover up for that by pretending she wasn't willing? This is about the only reason I can come up with.

I don't see how it is necessarily questioning your character; it is just a joke after all. If I make a joke about someone being the molesting-type teacher, I am not seriously thinking they are that type. This coming from an ex-elementary school teacher.
