depends where you live. Check out "conspiracy law" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_(criminal)#Conspiracy_against_rights and by your logic, anyone considered an accessory would not be held responsible. in reality - you knew that your friend was going out to kill someone, and you let him borrow your car. but you didnt kill anyone. doesnt matter that makes you an accessory to murder
