I recently watched a video by a psychologist who had a thesis on this. Men are viewed as sexual subjects, Women are viewed as sexual objects. This does not mean they are! 'Sex happens to women'. it is mandatory to press charges for a victim to benefit from social services and material aid I see, but in reference to the OP requiring the court means that someone *has to be punished* in order for a victim to access services. How this plays out in reality is that women will be forced to agree to use law enforcement that they don't need or want.

This sounds like it's based on the US family court. A similar thing was achieved in the US with the criminal courts and through the civil courts and the use of civil orders. But here they're only using the criminal court and pursuing criminal convictions. I hear you. King County's response to my abuse was itself a horrific extension of the abuse I suffered and it's still ongoing. I do have one good experience but someone here pointed out that it was because it was in Colorado which may have passed laws preventing this kind of discrimination. In my case a false accusation was used to cover up sexual assault, domestic violence injuries, to renege out of domestic agreements, and to bar my speech so that I couldn't say anything about it. It's been awkward and embarrassing to be on both sides of the situation, both falsely accused and victim. Often I've found that either side can't empathize with the other because of a superficial resemblance to their problem and I think it's a real tragedy.

I told my last girlfriend about being sexually assaulted, violence, financial abuse. Everything. She said in effect that Men are responsible for everything that happens. She was more upset that I had been angry and upset about it in the past than she was what happened to me. She used man-hating twitter and tiktok as an example of how all women agreed with her. She had no capacity for compassion.

I think it's underrated how incredibly creepy and abusive Menslib is. A normal person dedicates their time and energy to things they care about, either negatively or positively. I think probably no-one will be able to relate to this, but you have to be careful because even if you're in a feminist relationship there exists no legal acknowledgement of the shift in roles. Even if you're a stay-at-home bf baby like I was you'll be treated by VAWA and the Family Courts as a ruthless, evil patriarch. The amount of abuse you can be inflicted with and then blamed for is sickening.

That sounds really familiar. I was told that I was the emotional support pillar for the relationship and that it was my job to fix her and be responsible for keeping us together. It sounds like something that could be an acknowledgement of your strengths but really it's a setup to turn you into a self-hating punching bag.

Hey thanks. I've posted on abusiverelationships before on a previous account while I was still working to understand things, it was alright as I remember. I do thing that advocacy or rights subs should engage with victims directly though, rather than just talk the talk. This is a critique I have of Feminism too.
