Wearing glasses with no prescription or safety reasons is like pumping around in a wheelchair because you like the way your legs look in the stirrups.

Ehh, part of my aesthetic is my frames. I can't stand contacts because I have an astigmatism and the special contacts for that condition feel like sandpaper on my eyes. So instead, I embraced my glasses and got thick frames that are relatively prominent. Wire frames and glasses that are designed to hide on your face will never be attractive, but if you embrace glasses, you can definitely rock the look.

Or not. Dishwashers are to glasses as Vikings are to British wenches.

Solid color sweaters. H&M sells them for like $20 per on a bad day.

Explicitly conveying your intended tone (winks for jokes, smileys for compliments, :D at your own discretion) makes it a lot harder for a woman to misconstrue (which they are amazingly good at doing) what you were trying to say. If like me, you have a dry sense of humor, it's wildly important to use emoticons when you're first establishing your tone.

I don't. I see no point. Occasional naughty texts are different, but I don't really get the point of exchanging pseudo-creative ways of how much you're gonna go to town on each other over SMS. It's a huge tease in multiple ways, and it never really leads anywhere except you taking some quality alone time in the bathroom.

I don't like bringing up cheating. It has poor connotations, and it implies that you're ok with compromising both her and your integrity. Plus, it's cliché.

I see triangulation as more a gauge for if a girl is into the moment.

A trick for k closing I picked up from this sub a while ago: A seemingly simple gesture: make eye contact, look at her lips, then back in her eyes. When you do this, one of a few things will happen: she wants to kiss you, so she mimicks the gesture, then you lean in; she wants you to kiss her and take her home so she gives you the lion king look; or she's not ready in which case she'll just have no reaction or look away/bite her lip/twirl her hair/etc and you can either lean in and go up for the…

Her: "I have a boyfriend" Me: Lean in, look around to make sure nobody's listening, then with a smirk "That's ok, me too." Seriously works every time.

The instant you learn her name, think of a correlation between something about her (clothing is ok, but if you end up seeing her days later, it won't be as effective), and her name. The weirder the correlation and resulting thought-process, the better. The idea is to set a trigger in your brain to remember some abnormal though when you notice that something about the girl later which is connected to her name. Her: "Hi my name's Penny!" Yourself: Ok, she has brown eyes, like copper, penny-colored…

when there is a true potential For me that sentence came off as a little strange…probably because you're using 'potential' as the subject rather than specifying 'potential' as an attribute of the woman you're doting on. when there is someone with true potential, I don't really care what I spend. Make sense? The date after that, I took her too to tepanyaki, spended spent €100 that day. Aside from improper conjugation, the sentence probably could have been recast: The date after that, I took her o…

In college you don't have to be so lavish. If you're dropping $20 on a date, you better be pretty confident she's willing to invest as much emotionally.

Tons of DHV if you can string several decent art galleries together for a date.

Just keep in mind that these girls could be this way for a reason (read: bad experience in the past with intimacy or physical contact). If they don't like being touched because they were assaulted, going caveman would 100% be the wrong approach. I'm not white-knighting here, just pointing out that you might need to tread lightly.

I wrote short stories, but have a really hard time coming up with good dialogue. You might see traces of this conversation in a story if you start getting into the short story scene *crap, that was supposed to be a direct reply to your original lost. Meh

The use of that word reflects a serious insensitivity to societal norms and an unhealthy level of bigotry. Open use of terms like that and the attitude you hold towards that group of people is a pretty good indication of why you're not successful with pickups. No need for words like that in civilized conversation.
