I still consider myself on the fence about RPT, I'm here to lurk and learn but I just wanted to say: this behavior is unacceptable, period, all pills aside. I was concerned about my best friend who's engaged to a man who - without going into too much detail, is showing signs of an abusive partner (and I do mean abusive, not just a dominant male) and I handled it how such a situation should be handled: We went for coffee just the two of us, I told her my concerns and my reasons for these concerns…

I believe the context was that she just didn't seem to be into oral sex in general, whether he ate her out or not, it just seemed like something she wasn't comfortable with doing. More than that, she thought him watching porn was equivalent to cheating. And that's neither here nor there, as far as I'm concerned. These are things you should know about your partner before you go get married. But, that doesn't help now that they've already bitten the bullet. He said she was noticing a change in him…

I know I didn't know any better, chalk it up to a mistake, by some miracle didn't get any STD/I's from it. But I do want to talk to someone about it in the form of therapy, because while I browse TRP and hear about them ... seducing women into having sex after they say no ( I get it, her mouth says no but her body says yes;…

Wow, that clears up a lot of misconceptions I had. Thank you. I never had proper therapy for either of the events, my mom just kind of expected me to deal with it on my own. I think I did fine (of course I do) and after I got older and had the talk, instead of running towards the carousel to cope I went in the opposite direction- I've only had sex with 2 men (both of whom I was in serious relationships with.)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
