Yeah, they could, my point is that they didn't or haven't yet, hence why the cases would play out differently in court.

I was speaking in legal terms, the 14 year old never got his rapist convicted, I'm assuming if this 11 year old does get justice then they would have a different case and might not have to pay child support. Just pointing out that the cases aren't similar in that one regard.

There were no charges filed nor a conviction of rape in this case so it's completely different.
