1	Just wanna vent about my (currently) 7 month long divorce We are similar situations man. Just wanted to say I feel ya. My STBX has dragged this out past a year, courts are slow as hell. Bleeding the last of my money and credit cards. Gonna lose this house to foreclosure if it doesn't sell quick, and 400K in equity will be gone, all because she thinks the house should be given to her by the court. 1	How emotionally hard is the mere financial side of a divorce? I'm an independent contractor in a live events related industry. So after the pandemic, I had the best year ever (2022), impossibly busy, as everyone wanted to get together again. Unfortunately, that year is what my earnings are based on, regardless of the fact that I'll likely never match it again. 1	Can she stop paying mortgage on our house and let it go in to foreclosure? Hey man, I have no idea what to tell you, but only because I am in exactly the same situation. (Except it's my name on the mortgage, and I have no desire to stay in this money pit and she won't sell.) Have you spoken to a lawyer at all? Even to get advice on how to file? (I have not, but after reading some of these comments, I am inquiring tomorrow).
