0	The Gendered Killing of Men and the Double Standard of it The reason women historically haven’t been conscripted is because the men (the majority of whom are the ones in power perpetuating war and the draft btw) weren’t seen as capable of becoming soldiers, a fact that is slowly starting to change despite the fact that female soldiers are still at much higher risks of sexual assault and discrimination than their male counterparts.
