If you are married you should not be spending this much time with a stranger of the opposite sex to be able to get to know them this intimately. Forming a platonic relationship with the opposite sex carries it own inherent risk. If you are coworkers, for example, why are you spending so much time talking about non-work related topics to know this about them? If you can feel even the hint of an attraction building to want to get to know this person on such a level, WHY are you continuing to inter…

I think it depends on the situation. I'm wary of both men and women in their 30s who are unmarried because I'm worried it meant they were "slutty" in their youth and just decided "it's time to get married!" To me that speaks of a lack of core values. However, it's often not the case and I reserve judgement until after I ask about relationship history. If they have had a long term relationship that didn't work out, that's okay with me. For the woman, they could have been young (early 20s), niave,…

Not past 20, but past 25 yes unless there are clearly religious/moral reasons (i.e. it was voluntary). It sends a signal that they were not properly socialized.

Before a proposal, it's never immoral. It's shitty, for sure, but in the end it's a favour because anyone who would break up a super committed relationship is likely the same kind of person who would divorce and view staying married as a "choice". After marriage, it's always immoral unless there is real abuse/cheating AND you have given the person at least one chance to remediate this behaviour. I'm talking a clear cut conversation where you tell the person "you are not acting in accordance with…

Actually wanting children is a good start. If they talk about how they want to have children, if they have mini visions or fantasies about what they would do with their children (e.g. can't wait to throw the football with them in the backyard, can't wait to teach my kids how to build an x, etc)... these are all indication it's something he personally values and wants for his life. It doesn't mean he'll be a good father, it means that he wants to see himself as a good father and is more likely to…

Lust and initial attraction are an illusion based on very real hormonal processes. Love is built over time and shared history. If the goals you want for your life align with the other person, love is very possible through achieving those goals together, although I agree it's more similar to respect and gratitude for that person than the "love struck awe" we usually think of. Would a woman leave a man if he didn't have the resources, and would a man leave a woman if she wasn't fertile? It depends…

Are they entering "good girl mode", or are they actually good girls? I can't really understand why you think it's an act. If you are dating women who want children, obviously they are looking for commitment. Most dating apps (POF, OKCupid, etc) have a box you can tick when filling out your profile on children (wants children, does not want children, undecided). I suggest you tick the "does not want children" box and you will have a much easier time avoiding this problem. Taking women on vacation…

I don't know if it's such a bad thing to dislike promiscuity. I think the danger lies in the "AWALT, all women are sluts" mindsight. Some women are promiscuous, and some men are promiscuous. You are not like this. Many other women are not like this. It doesn't make her a bad person for sleeping around more liberally, it just might mean she's not a good match for you. I think your personal challenge will be deciding: 1) are you a person who is not promiscuous, and doesn't value that trait in othe…

There is a much better solution to this. You don't sleep with them. You show desire, you compliment their appearance, you make it known how much you enjoy kissing them. When they try to progress to sex and you say I'm not ready, de-escalate, etc.. They will ask why you don't want to. You smile and say you are not the type of woman who has sex outside of a committed relationship. Then they will either commit or not, without you ever having to aksk. This is very easy to do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
