I get it. I remember believing similar things. It is because we have been programmed from an early age to view sex is the same as breathing. While it is completely natural, it does not change the physical and emotional baggage tied to the act. In the simplest terms, modern marriage has been watered down into a fake and gay civil union when it is so much more. It is about duty, honor, protection, procreation, family. It is a commitment that separates us from our primal passions. It was once respec…

I am sorry for any past trauma that may have been inflicted upon you. Whatever it may be has no bearing on the reality that sexual attraction and mating signals are not sexual assault. Plenty of good men have had damaging charges pressed against them for simply being on the wrong side of the personal opinion of a potential partner. Men should not follow this insidious reactionary path to simply point out the double standard. We should encourage honest discussions about adult sexuality and natura…

Yea, I can understand your point on the last part. I could have omitted it. People do deserve having their personal space respected. I just hate when man fall into the trap of changing standards to fit feminist talking points. Being uncomfortable is not automatically sexual assault.

We should play into these feminist redefinition of observing reality. If women find a man attractive then they should be free to say so. Same is a man finds a woman attractive. People have sexual desires. It is completely natural. Modern feminism wanted men to pretend otherwise and it was foolish. Now men are foolishly buying into this puritan take. Don't fall into this trap of tit for tat. Women are beautiful and are worthy of our gaze. Men should not be afraid of a woman feeling the same about…

I once looked up what a child support payment would be for me in my state and foud that it would cost significantly more than what I pay now to keep the family running. Think about that. Theoretically I should be paying less because I would have one less mouth to feed and support. Child support calculations include the idea that a child needs shelter, heat, and water. Things the custodial parent would already be paying without kids in the first place.

I never meant to claim otherwise. My anger is directed at media outlets who have access to the complete story this morning and choose to frame Depp as simply a wife beater.
/r/MensRights02/11/20 06:44 PM
16

I understand completely. The issue is how only half the story was reported. Currently on my Google News feed " Johnny Depp is a wife beater who abused Amber Heard, British high Court rules." I'll admit that I have not read all of the details of the libal case, but I suspect the evidence requirements of the case are far lower than a criminal case. The Sun would simply have to establish that they reported in good faith. Not that Depp was in fact a convicted "wife beater".
/r/MensRights02/11/20 02:21 PM
51

The case was about vindication which is exactly what Johnny Depp got and what he continues to be getting. I am not so sure about that. 30 second NPR story on the case this morning stated "the judge ruled sufficient evidence was found that Depp physically abused Amber Hurd." Zero mention of alleged abuse by Amber Hurd.

Fair enough. Thank you for taking the time to chat about this. I had a long drive today so I spent some more time thinking about it. I thought about the possible scenario described above. It still seems fucked up that as far as credit scores are concerned, the student would be the gurantor. They would have a ruined credit score as a result of a default. And if the government, a trillions dollar money printing power house, is seen as the guarantee of the debt then the interest rates should be muc…

To the creditor and not the recipient. In that case the college the recipient and should be treated as any other loan. Example. If I borrowed money from my grand father made a guarantee to my fa her that I would pay off the loan to pay for a car that dealership has no obligation to my grandfather to care what he thinks. My personal credit is on the line.
/r/MensRights25/10/20 06:05 PM
1

To whom? When I take out a traditional privite loan for say a vehicle, all of the money is paid immediately to the dealership. It is a complete payment guaranteed by me, the borrower. /excuse my ignorance. I am not trying to imply that you are wrong.
/r/MensRights25/10/20 01:58 PM
4

And since most student loans are federal, if a private school accepts federal student loans it is now bound by Title IX. Honestly, this way of thinking seems a bit fucked up to me. A loan is a private guarantee between the holder and the client. It should no longer be viewed as federal money once it passes from the holder to the student. If the student is the one responsible for paying off the loan than it is not federal funds. It is the students funds.

It is ridiculous when you think about it. It is like the calculations include shelter and childcare. Something parents provide at no additional cost. I went to my states website to calculate the cost of child support for my kids and it would cost me significantly more in child support than what I pay now. Technically, you would think I would be saving money because I have one less mouth to feed. Nope. /I love my wife and kids. I was just curious.

That's a bit subjective. I avoided social events in high school. I would say I started going out more when I was about 19 or 20. Even then it was a bit slow to get going. I did not know what I wanted or what worked best. A few late nights were just learning the city and the scene. What worked and what you could get away with. For clarification, I was referring to how quickly a decade passes once you get into the groove of life. Calling someone white trash is not saying that all white people are white trash. Saying all white people are trash is racist. See the difference. Racism is essentially the belief that one race is superior to another. Stating the fact that someone is trashy and also white is insensitive. I have relatives who are white trash. It is not racist for anyone to point out that fact.

Just because you enjoy something to excess does not mean it is an addiction. Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry.
