Well, there are many different custody schedules that you could choose from. I think it comes down to how much time you each have to be with the kids(s). Here is a great resource for custody schedules: Parenting plans by age range - https://www.custodyxchange.com/ages/ Common custody schedules - https://www.custodyxchange.com/examples/schedules/

Interesting. I'm conflicted - so a judge could essentially throw out the entire post-nup? But only if it's challenged?...

u/TriangleSmartDivorce so interestingly enough, my lawyer told me we can certainly address alimony in a postnup. Also, curious - I asked if property division has to be equitable in a postnup. They said no... So.....what? How do I make sure that these things will hold should my spouse decide they aren't fair later..

I'm in the same boat. The thing is, we don't want to do it even though we know it's right. It is killing me inside!! It consumed my every moment. I'm literally at work not doing shit but reading divorce blogs and reddit divorce posts over and over. FML - I'm calling my lawyer ( that I've met with already and still haven't pulled the trigger ) I guess I just don't want to accept it...

I know, it's just so hard. I don't want to not see my kids every single day... I don't want to hurt her... Just fucking sucks

Nice, my wife and I are amicable and we want to remain close and raise the children together. This gives me hope.

This is what I'm afraid of... So no deals on the postnup, but would reduce my future exposure, if for example, I went to making significantly more money?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
