Don’t be so hard on yourself. I lost my virginity at 14 to an asshole much older who preyed on me and cheated on me after a year of utter humiliation and drama. Later on he ended up being arrested for diddling more young girls under the guise of being a youth group counselor. I blamed myself for a long time. And wallowed in my shame for a few years. As more time passed it became easier to forgive myself for letting him play me and others like a fiddle. We can’t control the actions of evil people…

I feel you on this. My boyfriend and I just talked yesterday and he brought up how he doesn’t feel appreciated since we’ve gotten our puppy. Despite me increasing the amount of chores I’m doing while simultaneously caring for the dog 80/20. Why? He revealed to me that he felt this way because the amount of sex per week has decreased. So even though I cook him 2-3 meals a day, clean the house, bring him coffee and multitude of other things, that didn’t matter. He did not feel appreciated. Because…
