Monetizing is getting there (finally lol). For the first time ever I have several paying gigs lined up for this summer. One of the more serious guys in town scouted me and added me to his line-up. I appreciate your perspective :) Hopefully I have some luck at the venues. At the very least, it will be trial by fire for the social skills I want to work on.

Guess we could swap places for a bit 😅 It's straight up awkward at times because people will be like "what kinda movies/books do you like" and I can only really name off one or two of each in the past 2 years 😂 Mostly will have the TV on, but the bass in my lap. I don't really pay close attention to what I'm watching anymore.

Insert my dumbass who has sunk more time into bass guitar than anything else. I'm not unread in the realm of music 🤷‍♂️ lol.

I counter with; building that career takes time. I'll be a low-income earner for at least a couple more years, if my degree works out. Right now, I usually just pitch my music business as a career. I can understand why that isn't terribly appealing, but it's something I'm very passionate about and have worked so very hard to curate. Ye' of little faith can see the door for all I care. Maybe my lifestyle isn't suitable for longterm companionship. I very much so think it is, however.

Losing the weight and realizing you were a catch all along is kinda emotionally painful. It makes you bitter that others couldn't see your value until that happened... and that is made worse if the weight loss was from depression/poverty to begin with. If you can swing it OP, go talk to a therapist. It took me quite some time to adjust to my new lot in life. Wish I could say I'm out here killing it with the ladies, but at the very least therapy has helped me become immensely more comfortable in …

Yes. Personally, it made social anxiety much worse for me as I felt that it undermined my social credibility (it doesn't, neccesarily). I think the biggest obstacle weed placed in front of me was not allowing me to actually learn from my experiences. I'm much worse at reading people's emotions when I am high. I really think it inhibited my social growth by not allowing me to learn from my experiences with other people. I was smoking everyday, which was detrimental to my REM sleep. REM sleep help…

Excellent advice. I had to quit smoking weed to get to a point where I could start making these steps, but it's finally happening bit by bit. I really appreciate this perspective.

You need to bring good energy with it... and a smile! Hell, the latter doesn't always work if I'm stuck in my head that specific moment. It's really weird, but quite predictable. I think for you, focus on positive thinking. Replace your doubts! It takes a lot of time, but keeping with it will help you out in many, many ways. Not just seduction.

I should definitely try this out at my band's next show!! Good thinking, sir!

This is the best advice he will really get in here. Sadly, it takes the most work. I'd say no one really heals themselves fully, but I'd say getting up to a solid 80%-85% healed so to speak will do much more for you and your relationships than anything else. I hope OP finds some peace and life gets a bit easier.

A cold approach with nothing more than social media links in the bio leaves you grasping at straws my friend. Mentioning the match wouldn't help much either if they are really just out there for venmos and IG followers.

Same as the one I was about to give ya.... none. lol, but if I see said girl out in the club/bar (smaller town) I can just approach and be like "Ayyyye, it's that dirty thief who didn't toss me my ball back!!" bahaha, that one probably won't work either unless the initial ignored DM was just that distinctly strange, which I doubt. Oh well, still trying it!

I just accidently lost a ball in their dms and asked for it back lol. Like this; ....⚽️ shit, sorry ball got away from me.

A couple times to no success. It's a good strategy for Bumble though because that way you can shoot your shot rather than just watching as your match fades to oblivion lol.

It's a strategy and there is no shame in it... especially if they are (likely) just using you as a follower.

Being a man who plays in a symphony orchestra, eye contact is a fun, but tricky business!! haha, it has gotten to the point where I catch multiple ladies looking at me during rehearsal. It's almost overwhelming! All of them get my cheesy smile :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
