All that granted, I was foreman on a child rape case jury. 3yo and 8yo were raped multiple times over the course of years by their step dad. He was caught in the act with the 8yo. He confessed, there was damning DNA evidence, and the boys both testified against him (they were 5 and 10 at the trial). That fucker deserved to be executed, and I don't care what it costs. Instead, he got 25 to life in CA.

It's worse than you probably know. One of them was 16 the other was 7. Burned, mutilated, buried in a shallow grave.

I was the foreman on a jury about 6 years ago. Child rape/molestation case. Trial took 9 days. We were sent to deliberation at 2:20pm on Friday - 40 minutes before court closed for the weekend. Dude was guilty as all hell. We all agreed and I had the verdict signed and given to the bailiff in 23 minutes. The judge was shocked and asked if I was sure that we were done. Yessir. Hope that fucker has gotten justice in chomo hell.

If you have good attorneys, prenups can be solid. Also, you only lose half of the community property. So, let's say you are worth 100 million before you're married. That would be your separate property. If you earned $25 million after you're married, that would be the community property. So if you got divorced, you'd pay $12.5mil, not $67.5. The real killer is the alimony. Stay married for at least 10 years and that gets you spousal support for life unless you get remarried or cohabitate.

Also, it's very, very rare for prenups to cover normal income made after marriage. Usually, that's community property. Source: wife is a family law CPA

Oh jeezus. I had forgotten about the Tour de Franzia. Are there standard rules? We had backpacks on bikes and it was like a relay race but the catch was you couldn't win until the box was empty and everyone had to do 1 lap after the bag was empty. If you fell or put a foot down, you had to walk your bike back to the start and go again. Someone added a yellow jersey at some point but it's been almost 20 years, so the details are fuzzy.

This is perhaps one of the stupidest things uttered on the internet today. Well done.

You pay alimony for life (or until your ex remarries or cohabitates with someone else)

Oh yeah. Heaven help me if our marriage ever goes south. Word to the wise, boys, if you're gonna get divorced, make sure you do it before you get to the 10 year mark. Otherwise, you're good and fucked for life.

There's no scenario in which he isn't damaged to some degree by this. At 15 you simply lack the cognitive ability to handle a sexual relationship with anyone, let alone a teacher/authority figure 10+ years your senior. While it may not be as dramatic as, say, a 15yo girl being violently raped by a 25yo man, the damage is still real and will have lasting effects if not addressed and dealt with.

More importantly, how is an orchestra going to fix a leaky ceiling?

Hahahahaha. If you think $20k/month is crazy, you don't know the tenth of it. My wife has had clients on their 4th divorce who are still paying their 3rd wife $60k/month and are HAPPY that they only have to pay their 4th wife $85k/month (because the 4th wife was asking for $145k) It's absolutely bananas.

Weaponized victimhood is a bit redundant.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
