She would not have had sex with him unless she thought he was going to marry her because being a single mother in India is a pretty terrible life. Dishonesty about what you look like or how many previous sexual partners you have is very different from lying about having an STD or marrying someone to have sex. By lying and saying he would marry this girl she had sex on the basis that the child would be coming into a family, now she is stuck on her own raising the child in a society where there is serious discrimination against single mothers. She's a feminist and doesn't even think men can face discrimination, its a stupid view given she knows next to nothing about living life as a man but I won't fight over it, she's lovely otherwise.
