Another factor that colors this perception is that women generally tend to have an in group bias (~4X more then men), while men don't. So acknowledging that a lot of women make false accusations, will mean an L for "team women." Reputation damage and stress on men who have been falsely accused be damned.

Oh, sure, I agree with that point wholeheartedly. I agree with your above point on influence and power as well. People like that can/do get away with whole lot of stuff.

Dude, Kevin Spacey was cleared of all counts of his "crime". So no one was his "victim" at all! That shit was all FAKE NEWS! Edit: He had gotten acquitted of all false charges.
