Just ask her questions!

I’m a 28M and I’m suddenly feeling the exact same thing. I’m not in a rush to find a relationship, but casual sex has lost its appeal for me. I either want something with long-term potential, or I want nothing at all. By the way, this is something that I just started feeling this year. Many of us have to experience “success” with women before we realize that casual hookups aren’t as fulfilling as we thought they’d be. Nobody could’ve convinced me of this five years ago.

Bingo. You said it perfectly, “It’s the mindset that most women will be coming to the date with.”

This is turning into a Strawman.. At no point did I say that a man (or woman) is justified in blatantly lying about their intentions in order to procure sex. Don't think OP said his intention was to "just get sex and disappear" either. But if someone's open to a relationship (with the right person), there's nothing wrong with answering the relationship question with the truth, "I'm open to a relationship with the right person." Or as OP said in the original post, "until I find someone compatible…

Nobody said anything about intending to “just get sex and disappear.” With that being said, yes, a woman has every right to want to know a man’s intentions. But no self-respecting guy can definitively say he wants a relationship with a woman after they’ve been on one date. These things take time. And that’s why I continue to repeat - A woman isn’t entitled to a relationship (nor the promise of a relationship) just because she went on one date. Both people have to earn that exclusivity over time.

It’s not leading her on if you’re legitimately open to a relationship :) As I said above, a woman is not entitled to becoming your girlfriend just because she went on a first date.

I wouldn't mention it, because you're not doing anything wrong. If she asks, then simply say "I'm open to a relationship, but it has to be the right person & the right situation. What about you?" That is a fair & honest response. Nobody is entitled to becoming your girlfriend after the first date. As you said, these things shouldn't be forced.

As a guy (28m) who does well in dating... I’d say #1 apartment factor is cleanliness. Have a clean living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Mop or swifter the floors before her first visit. Wash your bed sheets. etc. Beyond that? Living alone is ideal if you can afford it financially, and Have the materials you want handy for sex... condoms, lube, towels, etc. All of that being said.. Remember that confidence is still king. Good luck!

Until you mutually agree to be exclusive... there’s nothing wrong with seeing other women.

Love the idea of being playful! But I still wouldn’t double text. I would let her reply first, then go with something light hearted & playful for your response!

Move on. If someone’s already ghosted you before, then that person isn’t worth your time & energy. Onto the next! Edit: Even if you still want this person.. by initiating contact after YOU’VE been ghosted, you’re only going to lower their attraction even more. Best case? They’ll take you back & then ghost again. More likely case? They’ll continue ghosting. Move on!

Give her time & space to respond. If she’s interested, she’ll be in touch. If she’s no longer interested, then a 2nd text isn’t going to win her back. So, now we wait. Good luck!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
