I tried to voice my opinions on dr peterson on another thread. Every negative thing I said got down voted to oblivion. Most of the responses were "ha ha dumb leftist"

"Dr. Jordan B. Peterson is a clinical psychologist" Literally the first thing on the about section of jordanbpeterson.com. I'll hope you can forgive me the very common mistake of psychiatrist and psychologist

When I bring up his frequent crying it isn't to shame him or make fun of him. I'm just pointing out the fact he weeps so easily and so often says to me he has some level of emotional instability and the things he says should be colored by that

He does nothing to hide the fact that he left the country to get put into a coma. And watch any recent interview with him the tears are always busy below the surface

Exactly what Jordan should do

I'm not making fun of him I'm saying crying as frequently over such small things is indicative of an unstable mind, and it would probably be best for him to seek help of his own. And I don't blame him for having a drug problem, I blame him of hypocrisy for being someone who advocates for personal responsibility, then uses his wealth to circumvent the law. These aren't attacks they are criticisms.

As a member of the left you are simply wrong. We want universal Healthcare, not women only Healthcare. We want to reform the police so they stop abusing ther power, not use it to abuse men. An overhaul of infrastructure, more social programs for the homeless [a mostly male problem] A movement towards clean energy so the world can support all people not just women. If when you think of the left all you see is that meme of the screeching feminist that's on you for not actually communicating

So what's Bernie? He's who I would have voted for He's the true Scotsman, and the democratic party saw him get most of the delegates and went "yeah no we want center right Hillary because she won't actually do much" Biden rejected forgiving student debt and threw progressives a half assed 10,000 to look good for the mid terms He wants to increase police funding and has no plans to reform them Joe's best case scenario is getting back to a pre Trump staus quo rather than any sort of progressive pu…

He was debating an atheist and they got to talking about smoking Jordan says. "It [the supernatural] stops people from smoking" the atheist says "you don't need the supernatural to quit smoking" and Jordan says "no not really" so. . .I'm quoting him The other is about how he likens successful lobsters who win fights get boosts of serotonin and it puffs them up and how anti-depressants work on people. When I fact serotonin increases the lobsters aggression.

I like that the mrm exists and advocates for men, but they get bogged down with anti-feminism sometimes and just glom onto anyone speaking against it. Which leads a lot of MRAs to the right. I don't want the mrm to be a right wing movement so I can either voice a counter opinion or leave

No I'd like him to find a psychiatrist of his own, get over his delusions of grandure and find a profession that doesn't make his brain boil

There is no modern left, joe Biden is a soft republican in democrat drag I believe in mutual respect, a more robust social safety net like every other industrialized nation, the breaking of monopolies, better gun regulation as well as a plethora of other things i won't get into, but most importantly and what drew me to the MRM the honest understanding of the problems every gender, sexual orientation, and ethnic group suffers its own set of hardships and that they need to be addressed. In this wa…

He's sad because he cries at the drop of a hat He got addicted to benzos and flew across the world to get put in a coma to get off them? Easy to "take responsibility" when you have the money to fly wherever you like so you can ignore laws in Certain countries And he broke a website's TOS got suspended, and rather than take responsibility for it whines about how "Woke moralists" are silencing him.

I'm on the left and I know exactly what I stand for and want. Is the MRM a right wing movement now?

He's a clinical psychiatrist, and he's good at proclaiming solutions that will help SOME people. But he doesn't present as just a psychiatrist or self help expert any more, he's a full throated [let's be honest here] conservative influencer Dead naming a trans man, then being obtuse about how "confusing" it is Taking stands against "cultural marxists" and "post modernists" using bunk science and his own over Inflated celebrity. He was able to help you because you are part of the subset of people…

Jordan Peterson is an unstable, magical thinking fool who thinks spewing word salad and misrepresenting facts makes him more intelligent than everyone else. Nothing that man says should be taken seriously at any point

I kind of don't mind that, that's what society has decided, because society decides a lot of dumb shit. I just wish more people acknowledged and fought against it like other injustices

Jordan Peterson is one of a group of modern "intellectuals" who do little more than spew word salad, make sweeping pronouncements and have very few if any good ideas of their own. I have no time for him, and I often times find plus sized women attractive.

Short answer. A man named doctor Kellogg decided masturbating was the reason for all sickness so started secularized circumcisions as a means of curtailing it in young men. (He also applied acid to vaginas but that didn't catch on) From then on it just got folded into tradition we haven't broken away from.

I've never been a fan of insisting that anyone needs to be "A better ally" because it gives this idea that you need to hyper focus on one side's issues. I'd say if you feel like someone is being wronged and you try to help that's all you need to do, don't get hung up on your own "privlege"
