Same situation 2 years ago, it was another man. Guarantee it’s happened to you.

Got through it by thinking and learning about the science of it. Used my rational side to think it’s my emotional flooding as an animalistic reaction to trauma.

I’d like to add a reflection on forgiveness with an ex, I reframed it into “being mentored in what love from that experience” versus “villianizing”. It completely changed my perception.

Lost weight, but the biggest boost was moving out of the deep emotional suppression I was experiencing. Growing and being aware of things in myself versus being in my feminine, plateau like state is a big rebalancing.

It’s incredibly disrespectful of shared space, especially when kids are involved. She brought the man she was cheating with for 3 years into our home when I took the kids to my families Christmas time. Came back to the marital home and they were there together. I requested multiple times through the fall she could not bring him into our home while we shared space. She did not honor that request.

Update, finalized in July. She doesn’t pay the full amount monthly and it’s really hard to make things work.

I think therapy if it’s done as mediation. Because one party is checked out emotionally and disconnected.

Went through the same thing, it’s about the deep seated issues in themselves. It’s them actually just a consequence of their actions and an inability to emotionally process. To push away someone like us, who loved unconditionally and selflessly, and then see us move on is catastrophic. It doesn’t stop, it only helps to shut out the noise from her side, and anything connected to it.

What’s really neat though is that I spent months trying to reconnect with her, trying my best to make a safe space where we could really talk about her resentments, make corrective action etc etc. But as soon as I felt as though it wasn’t reciprocal, that’s when I asked the big question. The gaslighting, future baiting, quiet passive resentments were going on throughout.

For me I asked her “do you care about my feelings, and my needs and wants in this relationship”. She immediately replied “NO”. A week later I found out she had an on and off relationship with a coworker for the last three years. I still maintain my reason for divorcing her was her first comment, the cherry on top was the cheating.

Same here, my wife’s actions invalidated my feelings and needs in our relationship. Our therapist gave us objectives of improved communication and healthy space in our house. I did both things, but found the more I moved in healthy ways the more distant she got. Come to find out after I initiated divorce that she was having a 3 year long relationship with a guy from work…so that was a nice cherry on top of it all.

She has been having a “relationship” with a social worker at the hospital for 3 years.

I want the house, and I want it to remain the primary residence of our children. It’s a perfect little neighborhood and our kids have friends houses they ride their bikes to

Yes, and thank you for your input. She made so much money in OT during Covid. I have a great support network in my family and friends so watching them and getting them on the bus in the am is easy too. Dissolution meeting is this month with our lawyers and us sitting down.

No, if you are finding women like this it is because you haven’t fully healed yourself and project confidence. Filtering these women is difficult af, but being attractive to the secure person is easier once you’ve find yourself in a secure emotional state.

The trick is to find a partner that we don’t need to fix.
